long fin bettas can get fin disease easily and it's harder for them to swim especially in high flow. I think people should just be aware that they've been bred to have these bigger than life fins and it's hard on them unless their owners take care of them correctly and pay attention to the diseases they are prone to get. They aren't here just to amuse and for us to gaze upon. They need attention.
Feather or crown tail is more fluffy and wispy where as rose tail is ripley, has lines (creases) resembling a rose when they move it through water. Two very distinct differences and characteristics. Rosetail appears to have alot of movement (lines/ripples/creasing) even when flared and feather has more movement on ends but with less folds and wrinkles. Shaking a sheet in the wind is how rose move and look while feather is more stiff except on the ends where wispy movement. They are also two totally different shape, angle, and texture of fins
