Afternoon Nick. Don't forget to calibrate your ESC - you do this by unplugging the battery from your plane, turning on your transmitter, set the throttle to max, plug in your plane (having removed your prop for safety) you should hear two beeps, drop your throttle to minimum, and your ESC should do it's usual set of beeps. Unplug your plane and you're done. This tells the ESC where the minimum and maximum PWM of your transmitter is.
BTW, I've had several RC planes with an above wing motor design, and on all of those, the thrust line pointed down towards the nose of the plane. If you find the motor driving the nose down hard on your Genteel Lady, you might want to have a look at that.

If the thrust line is above the wing and in front of the CG you meed upthrust, equally if the same applies but the thrust is developed behind the CG then you need downthrust,

Please explain because the engine needs 3 or 4 LiPo cells to power it, but according to the description you only have 2 LiHV cells. ESC 2-3 Lipos.
I was always told that if the engine needs 3 to 4 cells, it should be Lipo 3-4.
