It also said "improved focusing for 5x zoom" I hope that means they fixed it... Because it has serious focusing issues when it comes backlit shots! Literally impossible to focus on a subject. It always focuses on the background for some reason🤷 Same with the 3.2x tho... But they didn't mention it there🫤
Using this phone for 3 weeks, nice camera fetaures but need a little touches, for example we need a motion capture square (like other brands samsung or huawei) for 960 and 1920 fps slow mo settings, because its very short period and mostly time miss the object
My Xiaomi 13 Pro in speaker mode did not work well -- chopping syllables and introducing blank spots. I returned the unit after some fixing work with the vendor that did not work. That should end it except I am not sure Xiaomi is paying attention to voice quality. Taking the audio jack out on marketing/cost grounds does not help either.
Just got the update on my 14u and from what I'm seeing, I'd say the NR is less aggressive, even occasionally leaving some noise to preserve the detail. IMO, it's better. I took a few difficult pics at 30x prior to updating and the AI algorithm also had a pretty noticeable improvement.
There's definitely a degree of subjectivity to how best to deal with noise. I'd be one to prefer a little noise over a perfectly clean image that loses a bit of detail in the process. I can always remove noise in post if I choose it. It's much more difficult to regain lost detail.
@@tobiashaase6844 Noise? I had the vivo x100 pro. I don't don't like when phones kill the image by trying to remove the noise too much. That is stupid. The 14U is less aggressive in de-noising that I like much more. I like the fine noise/grain very appealing. If it doesn't loose details, I am fine with it.
Please, I do not know English, if you write, I will translate. Is Xiaomi 14 better or worse after this update? Can you write down its pluses and shortcomings?
Just because the phones sound different doesnt mean there's a bug... Youre the only person talking about this, plus, you have Chinese versions and are demanding global support. It doesnt quite work like that.
Not to give you some more work but x100 pro, x7 ultra and 14 ultra all had a camera update. Time to update your spreadsheet and see if the x7 ultra is still the best
Good to see some camera updates. Xiaomi gives so few camera updates in their flagships and phones in general compared to Oppo and Vivo. They really need to improve their updates
Go for vivo...i made mistake by buying Xiaomi 14 ultra.... Even in good sunny lighting it struggles to focus... focusing is slow...pics in day time is good...but nothing special.... portraits and macros aren't good as vivo . Handling also not good , i hav s23 ultra now , even though its big i can handle...but x14u is difficult even if ita smaller than s23u.
I have both the Xiaomi 14 ultra and Vivo X100 Pro. On paper, the Xiaomi has the better hardware. However, in reality, still photography on the Vivo is far better. Portrait photography and macro photography on the Vivo are excellent, on the Xiaomi both are really disappointing. Unless lighting is optimum, the Xiaomi struggles to focus. The vivo is rapid and crisp. I really regret buying the Xiaomi. (I rarely do Video and can't comment on the relative capabilities of the two mobile phones).
@@lltechview Is it really about the humidity inside? I wanted to ask you about your experience. I have 14U and tested it when I got it just to check it. When I was doing 4K video in 13°C, a bit of fog appeared in the corner after 3-4 minutes, so I stopped. The next day in 11°C, I multiple times opened camera app for about a minute, took some pictures and then closed it. I was trying to simulate my usage. I am not a video guy, I just take pictures here and there. Nothing happened in this case. Looks like when the stabilisation is running and generating heat and/or SOC, the heat difference makes this happen. I just hope for the best. I risked it for 999€ because I had the vivo x100 pro and it really lacked the variable aperture and there is no other phone at the moment I would like to have. 14U takes much better pictures than vivo and the camera app is much better. Hello Sir.
I hope you can make a video comparison with Mate60 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
on portrait its better on X7 Ultra, but in zoom shots its almost the same i saw your previous video of X7 Ultra
Waiting for the update on the china variant hypeoOS 2.0 andr 15
Better noise reduction or more noise reduction? Hopefully not oil painting

Doesn't even seem like they fixed anything, vivo etc have way less noise for example

It's clearly a bug that Xiaomi acknowledges.

It is. Only the Find X7 Ultra shows a significant improvement in terms of tele zoom. So I might raise points there.
