I bought that titanium expedition north watch after Timex brought it out as a standard issue. It was initially a James Brand collaboration with a limited series that sold out quickly. People were re-selling them for double the price. Timex fixed a couple of things with the new model like allowing hacking... I couldn't own a watch that doesn't hack. I came up when we bought Timex watches at the drugstore for 20-something bucks, so $350 for a Timex seemed insane. After wearing it for 6 months, I bought a second one. I've been burned by watches going out of production, meaning replacements are impossible to find. So I bought my replacement in advance... just incase the first watch dies. I'm kind of like you are with Timex but with Seiko watches. I was stationed in Japan and really got into that brand, filling multiple watch boxes with redundant models. I enjoyed your SOTC videos the last couple of days.
@WristUnwound I was in the Air Force for just under 23 years. I worked in aircraft escape systems (ejection seats and modules). Was in fighter and bomber squadrons mostly with a three year stint in flight test at Edwards AFB. Been retired for 25 years now.
Thanks for taking me along with you through your journey ✌🏾
Appreciate you coming along for the ride! Any favorites in the collection marathon?
Great ending! Peace out Peyton ✌️

The "Moments, with a Timex Collector" section just took me out! This is the most unique SOTC on TH-cam. Great job sir!
Glad you liked it, just trying to add a different voice to the watch space 🙌🏾
