How did Russia Successfully Destroy 15 US ATACMS Missiles?

  • Entering its third year, the conflict in Ukraine shows no signs of abating, with the situation continuing to escalate. Ukraine has persistently urged the United States to provide advanced weaponry to help tip the scales in their favor.
    Responding to these calls, the US recently sent long-range missiles known as Army Tactical Missile Systems or ATACMS to Ukraine discreetly, which have since been deployed in combat. These missiles, part of a $300 million military aid package approved by President Joe Biden, boast a range of up to 300km, nearly double that of the mid-range ATACMS sent the previous year.
    However, on May 4, 2024, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported intercepting a significant number of these American-made ATACMS missiles, stating that Russian air defense units successfully destroyed 15 missiles, with four being intercepted over the Crimea Peninsula within 24 hours. This situation makes us wonder: are these missiles truly effective in altering the course of the conflict?

      modern war using arms elsewhere has always been a thing since the 1800s, russia knows they cant declare war on america just because it gave them to ukraine or trained ukraine staff, because ukraine is literally not doing offensives in russia, just attacking refineries and and military targets.

      It is at war. Dude it's not complicated at all. There are two narratives in the world, the narrative that is sold to a country's public, which is PURE propaganda. Not an ounce of truth, totally unbias and pushed only for the sake of rallying the public behind the actions of the government. Then there is the common sense narrative, this the ACTUAL information that governments are operating from. Like the US knows full aware it's at war with Russia, what it says means fucking nothing. Actually it's simple, whatever anyone from the US government says, the opposite is true.
      Make no mistake, the US wanted to use Ukraine as a proxy to take down Russia, it has wanted this for decades which is why the US did a coup in 2014 to steal the Ukrainian election, and this why they have kept pushing for Ukraine in Nato. The US is the aggressor and it always has been. ALWAYS HAS BEEN. Just like it's always the aggressor every where else in the fucking world with military bases scattered across the entire globe. As soon as the US starts arming Ukraine it is at war. All this bullshit like we are tip toeing, trying to skirt around technicalities and shit, none of that makes sense and no government would take that seriously. A government cannot afford to get caught engaging in bullshit rhetoric and propaganda, you send arms to Ukraine and send people to help man the equipment, you're functionally at war with Russia, period. Any opinion or words debating the fact are useless.
      Sending money to Ukraine was probably the most a country could get away with doing, but arming Ukraine? Nah, I don't give a shit what any country says, if you are participating in their downfall you are an enemy. It's just that fucking simple. Some western countries are starting to figure out they fucked up in a colossal way and will likely attempt to find a means to back track and flip. Some European countries are looking to be absolutely fucked right about now, and they will be forced to make very difficult choices or face a very tragic road ahead.
      Just re contextualize the same events from the perspective of being in a tribal conflict and this is all happening within a neighborhood. If your neighbor gives another neighbor a weapon to kill you with, then they are both effectively working towards the same pursuit. "But I wasn't the one who shot you." means absolutely fucking nothing. Americans just need to stop using their child brain and apply some critical thinking for once. The only people that complicate issues are the indoctrinated and the mentally challenged, which i'd argue is a majority of people in my country. Some of them can't manage to wrap their heads around US politics, not to mention world affairs and international diplomacy. The people in the US are fucking brain dead.

    US stop escalating war by supplying weapons to Ukraine

    • @j4genius961
      @j4genius961 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The West doesn't care, they know Ukraine can't win, but they'll keep sending weapons for multiple reasons:
      1- Biden can't afford a huge military defeat in an election year
      2- France is mad that Russia is kicking them out of Africa and wants to take the opportunity to weaken them as much as possible to hopefully regain the upper hand in Africa ( which will never happen but they'll still try )
      3- The collective west doesn't want to appear weak in front of an increasingly multipolar world so they want Ukraine to survive as long as possible, but when Ukraine unevitably reaches the point where they can't go on anymore because they're running out of men and energy the west will abruptly stop supplying weapons to them and claim that Ukraine only lost because they did that, not because Russia outproduced and outmatched them, or as the US called it in Vietnam "defeat with honor"...That's how much the lives of Ukrainians are worth to the western elite, a tool to be used in their geopolitical game until it's not useful anymore.

Granted the US is having a severe mental break from reality throwing SCUD grade missiles against people who perfected the SCUD concept with the Iskander-M but you can do 300-1000 km with surface skimming missiles and for the type of targets you're dealing with you'd not mind the loss in warhead size because what you want are the radars not the launchers in a S-300/400/500 system and aircraft don't take kindly to cluster munition splashing impacts either.

    • @viktoreisfeld9470
      @viktoreisfeld9470 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@purrplemane5954 Yes. This is the same problem with cruise missiles. The horizon will block the radar scans from seeing the missiles until they are at a reasonably high altitude. There is not time or precision enough to trace the vector of the missile back to the launcher and even if you could, the launcher would have moved by then. Impossible from 60-70km away. Anti-battery radars were designed to determine the location of artillery batteries by calculating the trajectories of the rounds they have fired. But, the anti-battery systems have to be very close to the batteries to work. These long range missiles cannot be tracked back in that way. Because the missiles are small, you also have to use high frequency radar to track them, which means a lot of power and little range. The anti-missile missiles are probably using a combination of high frequency radar, infrared sensors, trajectory calculating electronics, visual cameras, and perhaps even acoustic sensors to target ATACMS. This is very advanced and difficult technology - equivalent to the best the Americans have and use. No wonder America is frightened and rethinking their provocations. Poor Victoria Nuland, she made a terrible mistake starting this war with her silly color revolution. Sadly, Ukraine will be destroyed as a result.

    Very informative - thank you very much. I pray for peace!!! Neither ATACMS or the BUC systems are peacemakers!!! Pity!

    Radar and satellite jammers work

    • @viktoreisfeld9470
      @viktoreisfeld9470 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Satellite, yes if it is electromagnetic. The long distance it travels to Earth makes the signal very weak and easy to overcome with noise. Radar no because the radar in this scenario is very high frequency and low range. To jam the radar you would have to be right there in the intercept area.

    This claim is most likely true. Cos, since that claim, ATACMS attack on millitary target has completely ceased. ATACMS is rather used to hit soft targets like a training center in Luhansk and the last one is a residential area!
