BeamNG.drive Rallye on the Mediterranean Special Stage 2

    Beware: I'm not a very good driver, and this is my first attempt on a "cinematic" video. Watch at your own risk.
    Car: ETK I-Series Rally Gravel, with a little tuning.
    Note: the fences of the rally stage are invisible in my replay, for some reason. That's why I'm crashing into an invisible wall at 2:58.

    cool video! Thanks for sharing. How did you make it happen? Is this an edit from a single drive or did you piece together the best bits from several attempts of the track?

      Thank you! This is a single drive. It took me a few attempts to get a mostly clean run. Interestingly, my time was better when I tried to drive safely.

    Woha, this is awesome! 😮 How do you achieve that drone like footage? This looks so dope!
    Not sure how mission related prefabs work with replay, but something you can do is open the editor and set to shown the folder containing the assets for the layout you want to use, I let these here on that purpose.
    Anyway, really nice driving, not to mention for a first run!

      Thanks for your kind words. The camera path feature is actually quite easy to use. You just have to place certain "key frames" every 1 or 2 seconds and BeamNG handles the rest. Here is a quick tutorial video: th-cam.com/video/E0xvxjgI9Bs/w-d-xo.html
      This was not my first run. More like the 21st, maybe. 😀 And the fifth or sixth while attempting to get a good replay. And if you would've made the tree at 4:14 a solid object, I would've needed another few tries. 😀Not to mention the two-wheeler at 3:52 .
      I will try your tip with the assets.

      Indeed you had a few tries, but I think its necessary, the course is quite demanding! I have to make a few runs too before logging one clean although I basically lived here for a month and a half, its still challenging ^^
      The tree you his is solid, I mean its collider is working and have a minor impact on the car (sometimes it breaks your windshield). I think the beamng devs consider it as a bush and are leaving detailled collisions with this kind of assets to later, but not sure tho. I fiddled with the idea of strenghtening a bit these short trees, didnt had time yet but that could come in an update some day...
