Honestly Light dominated the entire set. Even the game he lost. He just had the right reads every time and rushed Goblin down super hard. And the ledgetrapping was impeccable.

I think his mentality was that his opponent knows his competent therefore he wouldn’t expect him to do the same thing again however that strategy was caught onto quickly it’s like how sometimes something so stupid is the unexpected option and do can catch your opponent of guard
Nothing else to do. Light himself is amazing at ledgetrapping and Fox himself is also naturally amazing at it with his tools. There's legit nothing to do besides mixup timings with neutral and attack getup.
Goblin is like Elegant. They don't adapt too much and they don't have the best neutrals. It's the punish games they have that are so rediculous that get them where they are. I mean Goblin just would not stop landing with areals and trying his best to constantly land aggressively and doing the same getups with only changing the timings slightly. It really makes me happy to see someone who adapts constantly be the winner in a set, so I'm glad Light took this one

Jesus goblins advantage was trash this game. He was allowing light to come down aggressively with an ariel despite playing a sword character so many times.
If he failed to counter correctly, he would be punished HARD, as well as using counter while landing being one of the most predictable things to expect from characters with counter. Light would have caught up on that incredibly quickly

He obviously has to switch things up but countering is defintely a good way to switch it up especially when Light came jumping and using nair on the ledge

I'm definitely not trying to start nothing because I like brawlhalla and Super Smash both are unique fun games but for whatever reason watching Super Smash tournament is so boring to me and watching brawlhalla tournament is so much fun the crowd on brawlhalla gold crazy I guess it's because the game play much cleaner and easy to see you can see every little thing that they do . Super Smash is just a lot of explosions in chaos I'm very repetitive movements also Super Smash seems to be a lot more unbalanced I see the same characters all the time in tournaments as where in brawlhalla the top players always seem to pick whatever people are saying are low-tier characters and win with those characters. Not too long ago the number one ranked player on brawlhalla (sandstorm) won with supposably the lowest tier character on brawlhalla
If you see the same Characters all the time I don't think you are watching smash at some point there was a Bowser player beating pros. Peach, Pokemon Trainer, Pikachu, and Joker are all good. You "see the same characters" because the people consistently making it high in Tournaments are really good and if others don't put in the effort they do then you will only see streamed games from these players. Light, Samsora, Tweek, ESAM, Nairo, Mkleo, these people are putting in the work and they have favorite characters which is why you will see some character repeat, because the players are the top monsters. More so if Smash is too fast for you... Maybe it's not the right game for you. I can't enjoy slow fighting games. That's the reason Id rather watch a Tekken Tournament and a Soul Calibur one than a Street Fighter one. For you maybe Street fighter is more your pace because slow game play is better for you.
