Hey, thanks for checking in on me. Yeah, I had to use two different parts, one from a 93 Taurus and I forget the other part model, I made a video on it.
Thats me!!, thanks for the video, great idea for sure. These parts are as hard to find as hens teeth for sure. Folks, this is the type of inginuity that real problem solvers come up with. We both had different appraoches to solve the same problem, but his is certainly a more economical method if money is tight and as he stated the parts are hard to find. EXCELLENT video, will certainly share it with others, as there seems to be alot of these vans with this problem still on the road. Oh goodness that exhaust is really something on that van lol
Did you have a clicking/pounding sound coming from that area where the harmonic balancer was? I’ve had odd cracks while driving and about a month later I got error codes for Cylinder 1&2 misfires. Cleaned EGR ports, changed my plugs, took the vaccuum line off EGR and all the easier stuff. Have all the same symptoms as y’all but with a knocking sound and guessing it’s the harmonic balancer. If so, scrapping the thing. Ran it a solid 20 years.
@@invisblewarrior2 unfortunately they no longer make them. When I needed one, I found one on eBay, in the UK, for 150, but it was also used. Someone else may have a better method than I do, but I had good success with rotating the weight back to it's original position and pinning it...twice

No noise. Engine had no codes and good power, it just vibrated something fierce.
