Man, the terminology is loose. "Go and get us another one if you will". Do you mean Load & Return? Also the first drop: air attack specifically said "heel to head" on the right flank, and the airtanker made the run in the opposite direction. Was there a change of plans that was edited out of the video?
Gimp - there are those with better answers, but there are tons of different ways to get into this career. Not knowing your age, and willingness to slug it out, I’d say your very best “in” is to start with a Volunteer fire dept. get certified there and then immediately jump into wild fire training, while still doing the Vol work. At the same time doing all of the above, spend some time working toward a private pilot cert. if you are starting from zero, this is not an easy path, especially if you are doing all of this on your own.

How do you get into fire aviation? More specifically how do you go about attending this academy
