I kinda hate that the bodies despawn, but the blood stays.There is just blood everywhere and no source to make it.
The game will be leggy after a while.
Downgrade of Heros 3. Once video games were seen as massive money making endeavors, corporations decided that people's standards have fallen low enough to allow lazy game development and DOWNGRADE AFTER FUCKING DOWNGRADE. This video is proof that games are no longer developed by gamers but by psychologists and corporate executives that only care about selling the name for profits and not an actual fun experience like company of heros 1.
Original CoH had an interesting method to match the damage to the projectiles, with how it almost tracked certain spots for being hit by ordinance on buildings. Was an interesting way to have a nice response, while still avoiding going full destruction simulation route.
But yeah my biggest disappointment is the much lacking terrain deformation. Thanks for this review! Cant wait for your review of The Finals when its finally out

And here we are a decade or longer later, and Company Of Heroes latest release can't surpass the detail and destruction in Men Of War Assault Squad 2.

I recall playing the demo of it some time back, didn't really like it a whole lot so never quite gotten into it
Oh man, this game look like a mobile game compared to the 2 previous game -- not worth my money theres so many downgrades and such i am really sad that coh series is going in this route.
I'm dissapointed with the level of destruction. They've advertised it as something more interactive but what we got is pre made damage model. It's been 17 years since the og CoH game launched and it still looks superior in some aspects. I can understand some AAA devs downgrading physics for flashy graphics and RTX as it's a thing that sells the game like in Far Cry series but CoH3 doesn't even look good enough to justify it.
In CoH destruction is a pretty key thing, I honestly expected more
Coh 3 doesnt look good at all. If it came out at the same time as CoH 1 I would think it was a budget knock off competitor

Its a nice video overall, I like the effort put into it and I do agree CoH is certainly far from breaking new grounds like CoH did back in 2006. That being said I don't know how you missed the ricochet 5% bug from CoH it was the such a big issue that everyone joked/cried about.
Personally I don't recall it, maybe just missed it out

Different games, really. CoH is aiming for arcadey fun, GoH is almost a simulator.

Really sad. My favorite part of coh2 was after a big, long match parts of the maps are bumpy wastelands.

Definitely not all RTS, but from a CoH game I had higher expectations

Most settings are maxed out with the exception of shadows and AA
not even 50% of COH2
Wish they'd take the destruction from this and put it into Men of War II. COH is too arcadey.
Aside from CoH3 largely being more polished, MoW destruction is better
