    Awesome video dispelling the rumor the teeth can't be sharpened! Looking forward to viewing the Harley videos too!

    Great video. Thank you for posting this. This model just went on sale at Home Depot & I was kind of on the fence about it. After watching your video, seeing that you're a knowledgeable & that you have great taste in welders, I have decided to go ahead w/ the purchase.

      You are welcome! I've been using the grinder on and off as weather permitted this winter and still no issues. Grease the bearings on the cutter wheel before you use it 😉.

    Tha is for the Video. I run a tree removal company and have the TMG version of this machine. It came with the Loncin engine which blew its piston rings and I have replaced with a 9HP Honda engine which has been great. Also had to replace the clutch. I have 3 year years and probably 100-150 stumps into the machine and some really big ones. All in all not a bad machine

    • @JSProjectWild
      @JSProjectWild  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agreed, a decent machine for the money. That Honda should make a great upgrade for you. Thanks for commenting!

    Great video man! 150 plus stumps on a $2K less tool. Paid for itself. Do a neighbors or three and pays for itself! So you said you didnt need to file that side because it doesnt touch anything, so that makes me think, and if you said it sorry, but can you take the cutter off and flip it TO use the side you said didnt need filing give it even wear or its to much of a pain, period? even if every 25/50 hours.Thanks!

    • @JSProjectWild
      @JSProjectWild  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      3 teeth for right, 3 for center and 3 for left and the bits are welded to the holders so cannot flip. Even if they could be flipped it's much faster just to sharpen rather than to unbolt. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!!! 🦾

    I've watched several of your videos and want to say thank you for the valuable content! I just picked up a used Husqvarna sg13 and was curious if you could make a video about general maintenance such as oil change & what kind of oil to use? The cable attaching the lever on the control panel to activate the grinder wheel is also detached on mine so I have to manually activate near the choke lever so I gotta fix that as well. I'm admittedly far from handy lol

    • @JSProjectWild
      @JSProjectWild  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! I use Rotella T6 oil in most everything I own from my Cummins to my Goldwing and in between. That SG13 was supposed to be a great machine but I see that a lot of the parts have been "discontinued". Appreciate you taking the time to comment!!!

    I just got this cheaper at Lowes, HD was more expensive. Grinding on a giant Hackberry stump, and my teeth already dulled after taking out the roots (and a lil bit of concrete drive way the roots were going over). I have an extra set of teeth but I want to sharpen the ones that are on it. I didn't even use the brake. But it runs great, and its fairly quiet. Well after your review, maybe I need to inspect them to see if I broke some.

    • @JSProjectWild
      @JSProjectWild  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Any contact with rocks or concrete will destroy the bits, either dull them or break them almost instantly---ask me how I know 😬. Thanks for watching and commenting! I believe you'll enjoy the results from your new investment.

    Really cool. Thanks for sharing. We're just about to start using ours today and I was curious about sharpening the teeth. I couldn't tell from the video though, what angles your using while sharpening. If you could share a little more knowledge on that detail it would be hugely appreciated. Oh, one other thing, how do you drain the oil without making a mess? I'm thinking about adding a small valve and tubing to get it over to one side and down to a drain pan. I'd really like to hear your thoughts on that and how you handle it.

    If I may ask, how often do you sharpen the (original) carbide teeth? And are you just grinding off a rolled edge? I just got one of the units and have broken a few tooth bolts already, is this what you experienced? I think it was my fault letting the machine get away from me. Thanks again for the info. One stump down, many more to go.

    • @JSProjectWild
      @JSProjectWild  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I check the teeth often to see if they are dull. Yes, just grinding a new edge. Well over a hundred stumps and have never broken a tooth bolt. I posted another vid on sharpening and you might want to check it out, here is the link---th-cam.com/video/UgSDIY97zp4/w-d-xo.html

      Overall width is 760 mm as stated in the owners manual and length is not listed. Machine is too far away from me to measure right now. Also, the overall length would vary depending on how the handle is adjusted. Thanks for watching!
