- Next week, U.S. Judge Lydia Kay Griggsby will sentence former Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby.
Mosby was convicted of mortgage fraud and perjury.
She's facing up to 40 years in prison. However, her attorneys contend she should have never been criminally investigated and prosecuted.
There's a petition urging President Joe Biden to pardon Mosby.

I mean, I know tons of innocent people get convicted in this country, hell, I was one of them. But still I need to know particulars before I can have an opinion one way or another. As a former DHS/ICE employee and a Military veteran , I used to borrow money from my TSP account all the time. Also, you can withdraw money for financial hardship. I did not need to get approval from anyone other than my spouse. This is a witch hunt.
I'm a veteran also. Perhaps you should actually read up on the case and how it differed from your typical TSP withdrawals.

I actually took all of my out of my TSP account before I retired and I never put any money back into it because it’s a fraud. The penalty that you get for withdrawing your money from your TSP account is you have to pay higher taxes .

To summarize for you, she filed for *certain exemptions with the withdrawal* related to covid programs and other exemptions. This was found to be against the rules you conveniently "haven't heard of".
Watch the interview AGAIN. Notice how she never says she did do it. Notice how she instead says everyone else does it, and claims unfair treatment. Those are 2 different things.
Similar to the cying we heard about Britney Grinner. Initially the media said she didn't do it. Then the evidence was produced. They switched to, she did do it, but her imprisonment is wrong. That's false. Under Federal US Law it is currently illegal to cross state lines with drug in 2024 ! It's illegal to fly out of the US country with drugs in 2024. And per Russian law, it is illegal there as well.

She abused the terms of the federal CARES act during the pandemic by claiming that she was under undue hardship while making $265,000 a year for her salary as state's attorney here in Baltimore city. She was also convicted on 1 count of mortgage fraud for lying on the application. She lied about being under financial hardship, took her $80K in retirement without facing the 10% early withdrawal penalty fee and then went and BOUGHT two million dollar condo's in Florida. It has nothing to do with her work against police brutality.

I have Marilyns back 110%! This is ridiculous! Also, if her reason for retirement fund withdrawal was not legitimate why did they let her do it? I know there’s a difference in what type of fund you have and different rules etc for each as well. But from dealing with my husband’s union annuity you can’t just walk in and say I need my money. You need to list the reason and the board votes on whether or not you can withdraw early if unemployed or if you take a loan against it. There is usually oversight on this kind of thing. If that’s the case here why did they allow it? It’s bullshit that’s why!

Former Baltimore State's Attorney Maralyn Mosby also overturned the wrongful convictions of numerous Black men who were farmed.
Ms. Marilyn Mobsy,those you are preventing the prison industrial complex from getting their quotas of black prisoners. And, holding police officers accountable for their actions. Standing up for truth and justice is not what the favored few wants. Stay strong sister.

Ok I read the case notes. 40 years is ridiculous but here is the thing . She was a government official working for the people. Then during the pandemic while she was making 250k she applied under the CARES act to withdraw both 35,000 and 40,000 withdraws from her IRA to purchase 2 vacation homes.
Also the 5,000 $ she says was a gift . She sent it to her ex husband then he sent it back to her as a “gift”
I am a white person who supports everyone’s civil rights especially minorities and disabled people.
To me I can see she is way too defensive and doesn’t accept any responsibility. That’s the bigger issue I see. The CARES act was not intended to help already wealthy people get more wealth under the guise of financial hardship. And as a public servant you are held to a higher standard.
I’m sorry if that offends people but this is not about race. The other people who the attorney claims did the same thing were not district attorney’s who know better or should know better.
During the pandemic, mtg and a lot of republicans received covid funds in excess of 100k, which was forgiven. Explain that!!
