McGregor talked the talk and walked the walk. Took out everyone at 145, knocked out the 10 year P4P king in 13 seconds, RDA pulls out and Conor just accepts a fight 2 weight classes above him just to save the fight. Goes 1-1 with prime Nate Diaz at welterweight just to prove he can fight at any weight, then drops down and has the greatest title challenger performance and becomes double champ. Yeah eventually he lost to Khabib, but Conor has taken a year off the game and went to box and made 100 million. But Conor was never a coward, fought everybody and never missed weight or got injured before a huge fight, and knocked people out like no other.
I totally agree with most of that. I’m not a fan anymore but he was literally the most fun fighter to watch when he went on a tear. I don’t think we’ll see another like him for a veeeery long time. I do think Conor’s second fight was entirely too close in his second fight with Nate. He has avoided the 3rd fight like crazy though. Also, he wasn’t going up 2 weights because his fight with dos Anjos was at 155, I’m pretty sure. RDA never fought featherweight.

Like Bruce Buffer said: The one, the only, Conor McGregor. Nothing like him before he showed up, and there will be no one like him after. Notorious is an understatement.
You people talk about Conor like he was some generational talent. He had a 2 - 3 year streak where he won a few fights against guys that were smaller than him/didn't have a camp. The UFC covered up McGregor's lack of chin, bjj, cardio, heart and focus for as long as they could.

I mean he’s been angry before and won. It came down to the fact that Dustin is the better fighter. Conor could have walked in the 3rd fight calm and confident and still lost.

He got his ass kicked by Khbib too. That was such a pleasure to watch. And of course, Nate whopped his ass in the first fight.
Dustin is a top fighter and had an amazing career..but hes just missing that something as far as becoming the champion. Hes always let it slip in the last moments before becoming the champion. But I'm happy for him for winning the trilogy against a man who really was way too into himself and talked way too much. Ones still kicking ass and creating a legend of himself in his 30s while the other is addicted to snow and plays himself in a movie and somehow still did a terrible job😅
It’s crazy how much Conor was in Dustin’s head in that first fight. If Conor kept that same energy it would’ve been much more difficult to beat him a second time
I doubt it man. The main differenc between the 1st and 2nd fight was Dustin’s growth. He let Conor get into his head that 1st time and fought emotionally. It would be difficult for anyone to stay as commited to the game when u ran the fucking thing for years and literally became the most popular and profitable fighter there ever was in MMA. I have a pretty good feeling that if Conor had not been gifted the Floyd fight and made that insane amount of paper, remained active in the gym fans would have had an opportunity to see the true potential of the guy. When that guy was focused primarily on MMA he was pretty much a lock to beat Dustin off sheer timing , accuracy and use of distance to avoid damage. Unfortunately for the fans his ambition outweighed everything, it’s very difficult to become that big with out some major pitfalls especially with an addictive personality. Mcgregor likes to fight but he likes the rush , he likes the show. He just so happened to replace that rush of the walk with toxic substitutes. I just don’t see after that injury and the extracurricular activities and distractions that he’s going to be dialed in the way he needs to be to fight even a reckless Chandler. It would be amazing for the UFC and MMA in general for Conor to win in devastating fashion. Love him or hate him the energy is nuts for a Mcgregor fight.

Another great larone video worth watching every second of 👍
I have a pretty good feeling that if Conor had not been gifted the Floyd fight and made that insane amount of paper, remained active in the gym fans would have had an opportunity to see the true potential of the guy.
I love Connor but he gets gassed every fight. He says he never gets tired is a lie
