Absolutely love this man! Did you learn this by ear or were there tabs you used? Been trying to follow your finger placements, any advice would help, great job man!
Earned a new subscriber dude! That was awesome. Did you record the other parts first? How did you arrange this. Also - any chance you can talk me through the vocal plugins you use? The reverb is awesome
Thank you, glad you enjoyed. It’s all in one take! Used a Zoom H2n (just out of frame) to record the vocal and acoustic audio. I also had the guitar plugged into a Focusrite and recorded into logic. On the guitar audio I used the heavenly chorus pedal that comes with logic and then I did the aux channel noise gate trick from this video at 1:40: th-cam.com/video/IZYbn3-_lgY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vFAtHAW83Xt4sMpS I used logic’s Chromaverb though, I don’t have the 3rd party reverb he uses in the video. On the vocal/acoustic recording from the h2n I used some light eq, compressor and space designer reverb from logic. I think it was a preset called “nice small plate” which is essentially a 1 second (I think, I’ll double check later) plate reverb. Hope that answers your question, let me know if you need more detail/help!
Yeah it’s an iPhone attached to the headstock using a Hercules DG207B phone holder. It only really works if you’re using the rear camera with the 0.5 wide angle lens which only comes with Pro models of the iPhone I think. Using the normal camera looks a bit zoomed in. Tbh I wouldn’t recommend this set up. I just used it because I already had the items beforehand. It’s extremely heavy and you have to take test footage before a take to make sure the guitar is in the frame. Something like the Insta360 Go 3s would be better as it only weighs like 35g and you can get a live feed of the footage on your phone to line up the frame.
