"Yes, we held a meeting and had a very fruitful discussion. We had a talk about political asylum and other issues. I am hoping for a positive outcome. That's it and at this point we don't want to say anything more because there are some other details that we don't want to expose before an appropriate time. It will be immature. Thanks all."

"Yes, we have had discussions on all aspects. There some details that I don't want to divulge but things are going in a very good, positive direction."

"We can't disclose too much right now, it's at a primary stage and we just came (to the Indian Embassy) to find out the procedures of the application. As Mr Bugti said, it was very fruitful the discussion and we will continue to have further discussions on this topic."
5. SOUNDBITE (English) Brahumdagh Bugti, Baloch leader:
"The reason, as I said before, is that I (am) facing some travel problems and we discussed that point too and we don't want to tell everything and we are very hopeful that something very good and positive will come out. As we said before the discussions were very fruitful. That's all and we will continue it in future."
(Bugti listens to a question from a journalist asking if the Indian Government had agreed to give Bugti asylum)

STORYLINE:
Baloch Republican Party leader Brahumdagh Bugti began the process of applying for political asylum in India at a meeting in Geneva on Tuesday.
He and a group of political supporters went to the Indian Embassy in the Swiss capital where they held preliminary discussions with Embassy staff about the asylum process.
Bugti is the grandson of Nawab Akbar Bugti, the patriarch and head of the Bugtis - the largest tribe of Balochistan, a large province in the south west of Pakistan.
Bugti went into exile in Afghanistan after the death of his grandfather in 2006 but left in 2010 and travelled to Switzerland.

I see the Nawab Bugti and Nawab Marri looks in them, Salal who was Bramdagh uncle was my class fellow and Mehran was a few years junior and his older brother Khairbyar was my classmate too. Mehran and his family left in the late 70,s to USSR at the moment but Bugtis always remained till the 2005 or 2006

Reiterating his claims that the Intelligence Bureau (IB) masterminded the killing of Hemant Karkare, who was probing the involvement of Hindu radicals in terror acts, during the Mumbai terror attack in 2008, Mushrif called for a people's movement to establish the truth behind the killing of the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad chief.
"There is clinching evidence about the IB's involvement but all efforts to establish that have been defeated. Our efforts to call for an independent probe have always been defeated. Unless there is a massive public movement, this will never be established," said Mushrif, who made the sensational claims in his book "Who Killed Karkare".
Mushrif, along with national award winning music director and former Trinamool Lok Sabha member Kabir Suman, was speaking at an event to commemorate Karkare's martyrdom.

Mushrif, however, asserted that "saffron terror" had no bearing on which party was in power.
"The RSS as a terror organisation has nothing to do with political power. It is immaterial which party is in power. It is the system that is working, it's the Brahminical system. And when I say Brahminical, it doesn't mean the Brahmin, it's the mentality, the attitude to dominate and oppress,"
he said.
However, Mushrif was not in agreement with the view that intolerance was rising in recent times. "Intolerance has been going on for a long time. There have been many severe bigger incidents earlier, I don't understand why it is being highlighted now," he asked.

Ban RSS, India’s no 1 terror organisation: Former Maharashtra cop
Maharashtra’s former inspector general of police SM Mushrif on Tuesday accused the Intelligence Bureau (IB) of being hand-in-glove with right-wing extremists, and called for a ban on the RSS describing it as India’s No.1 terror organisation.
“The IB has been and continues to be the most powerful organisation in the country and irrespective of which political party is in power at the centre, it continues to operate the way it wants.
“Whatever the IB says or does is considered the truth and its claims or acts are never questioned or verified,” said Mushrif, indicting the agency for colluding with the RSS and its subsidiaries for the killing of anti-terror squad chief Hemant Karkare, who was probing the involvement of Hindu radicals in terror acts.
