Making a Digital Thermometer for your 3D Printer

  • This is a 3D printed thermometer I designed for measuring temperatures on my 3D printer, such as the bed, power supply, hot end, and more. If you like this build, subscribe to Desktop inventions for more projects in the future!

    Make your own!
    Things you'll need for this build:
    1 x Arduino Nano (with pins soldered on the top side)
    1 x MAX 6675 + K type thermocouple (or other thermocouple types
    1 x 1602 LED screen with I2C adapter board
    4 x M4x10 screw
    4 x M4x6 screw
    4 x M3x6 screw
    4 x M1.5x6 screw
    Mini USB cable to power/program the Arduino board
    A load of jumper wires to connect everything!

    Yeah cool.👍.that’s what I need. Can’t find any vid showing heatbreak temp. This could probably let us know how much we could push the hotend so the heatbreak designS really can retain the filament solid state so the extruder works well. Thanks for sharing ❤

    Cool little idea! Can you do this using a raspberry pi?

      Yes a raspberry pie should be capable to read thermocouples and output the display, but the form factor might be different. It might not fit in the same 3D printer case.
