Playing the legend campaign remind me of how the endgame could be way better without having champions. It’s difficult, you can use whatever you want to use. I seriously having a blast doing this.
Did anybody find it weird that fusion rifle did shit damage against a regular knight, cause mine didn't do shit, was able to kill regular adds but not nights.
legendary mode was literally the perfect difficulty. it's tough, and you have to pay attention, but it's not crushingly hard outside of maybe one boss. basically like playing a Halo campaign on Heroic. loved it.

Yea agreed. Not too far in...but finishing the Scorn Lightbearer baron at the end of mission 3 was a good feeling when we got it after a few tried. Switched to stasis, fusions, and chained supers and rotated and finally got it. It was just the right kind of difficult.

I died more than you on the first mission...and then I continued the campaign with a friend and he is just over there surviving and probably dying no more than twice most of the time and then there is me 7+ deaths 😅🙃

Legendary Campaign made me go back to that mode where even at work I was thinking about the next mission and what setup I might is use. Having fun for the first time in a while.
ran the entire legendary campaign using trinity ghoul, a blinding nade ignition code and ascendancy, whilst on void hunter using onnioculus and snare bomb. definitely the most fun i’ve ever had in a campaign, especially feeling how tense some fights can get as you are so squishy.
Just a heads up, you NEED to use Chaos Accelerant to get anything out of Contraverse Hold, since that's the only way to "charge" a grenade on Voidlock.
Yeah that part of the video confused me. Just tried it out. Contraverse Hold don’t let you charge grenades themselves. They just boost already charged grenades. It does look like they give energy back with regular grenade hits now though. So they half work.
@@wonderscx contraverse hold is near useless if you aren't running the chaos accelerant aspect which let's you actually charge grenades. It'll still return energy on damage, but you're better off running another exotic at that point
THANK YOU I'm just coming back to destiny and I was really struggling to understand why this was being touted as a good build when it's missing a very core component of why you would ever pick contraverse hold... hopefully he edits and acknowledges this mistake and updates the recommended build. Because he went off for quite a while about how good his friend said child of the old gods was while the other aspect of this is running feed the void. Idk which one to drop.
Been having a blast with the legendary campaign so far. I did the first two missions solo while I waited for my PS4 buddy to get the update installed and now we're going back and replaying those first two missions as well as finishing off the rest of campaign. Very impressed with what I've seen so far - I know I've only scratched the surface, but it's really exciting!
I’ve been doing solo legendary and my load out is doomfang, Monte Carlo and well mods, with bubble super on titan, this makes it so I can use bubbles basically whenever I want. The shield throw melee seems to be considered the same as the shield throw in super, so I can activate doomfangs super regen perk with just my melee. Pair this with Monte Carlo melee regen and bubbles low cooldown, I was able use bubble whenever was in a bad situation without really worrying about not having it up for bosses or the next time I am in a bad situation
@@bhavikjain872 right now I am using bastion and controlled demolition, echoes of exchange, leaching and expulsion, if you wanted to sub out controlled demolition for offensive bulwark, and also can change leaching or expulsion to slot in echo of undermining (weaken grenades), because your are spamming shield throws, with well mods and also echo of exchange (grenade energy on melee final blows) you can have your abelites up most of the time
As a solo hunter, Monte Carlo has proven to be one of the best primaries along with Bad JuJu and Hard Light. As far as exotic armor goes, I'm using Graviton Foreit, Khepris Sting and Orpheus Rig for different situations. Moebius Quiver super with Trappers Ambush and Stylish Executioner. Echos, Expulsion, Undermining and Leeching. Void 3.0 is incredible.
in ALL my destiny experience… i’ve dreaded doing any sort of campaign due to lack of substance, difficulty, and content… BUT THIS. this is a fucking amazing campaign and i only played the first mission today
Dont be afraid to do the whole thing solo... its actually not that hard at all. The whole campaign scales on difficulty by fireteam size. Its completly doable solo. I had to check multiple times if i even played at legendary because it seemed so easy in some parts. Good luck to all of you 😁🤙

Love running both invis dodge and invis melee. Makes solo content a lot easier since you almost always have a way out of a confrontation. Running Omni with it too
@@Darkdeadperson How are you doing this? I can do doge invisibility but how do you combine it with healing? And isn't there also long-duration invisibility where smoke bomb regenerates before invisibility stops?
@@ExtraordinaryGntlmn The catalyst for rat king starts regen health on reload along with invis, wormhusk regens some health on dodge. I just use gamblers dodge to get smoke back when I need it if I run out of adds to kill or if i mess up timing on weakening enemys
I was having a lot of fun running Arbalest with crest of the falling star. There's so many different shield types in this DLC and it handles all of them pretty well.
Correction for my fellow warlocks using controverse hold dont use child of the old bonds. To get the benefit of ch you have to charge your grenade which you can only do with the 1 socket fragmet. I also recommend acion bolts instead and using the pluderthatbooty made last season. Since it used very little seasonal mods it still works great get a grenade back as long as you get a kill.
Soloing the campaign at the moment and started by using the Void 3.0 for Warlock. Ended up switching to stasis with Bleak Watcher a couple of missions in.
lol its hell in there Mark. Having to use an ability for devour will take getting used to. I wasted like 5 grenades tryna consume them in the middle of battle
My go to primary for legendary has been DMT with vorpal. I use it with Salvager's Salvo and actually Threaded Needle. That's right. Linear fusion rifles are still good without particle deconstruction.
I couldn't finish the legendary difficulty due to work tonight also i am soloing it as well, I will run through it tomorrow, legendary difficulty is tough, but so far I've been enjoying witch queen.
@@jmuk3571 Ehh, a lot of times if I team up someone ends up talking over while I’m trying to listen. Aside from that, I’m seeing different responses as to whether solo will be easy or not. I’m more or less casual, not so big on PVP anymore, and usually try to run uninterrupted as possible through campaigns.

Heads up when using blast radius for protective light procs it's better to use witherhoard to become charged with light it's solid at ad clear great for dps and it autoloads for run and gun use when it tight spots
I did the entire legend campaign solo and a loadout that made everything easy was ignition code with blinding, trinity ghoul, and hezen vengeance timelost. Hope this helps!
My loadout for the campaign was Witherhoard, Glaive, Lasting Impression RL. It was way better than i thought it would be at first, and you can really get your glaive targeting up by shooting the butterflies with the glaive
Personally, i am in love with the new DLC, the story is hooking and the gameplay is fun? I havent even touched a playlist gamemode yet, also, i have heard that the last cutscene is intriguing to see, just lyak
if you're going solo hunter his loadout is great but id use sixth coyote as your exotic. that allowed me to almost always have a get out of jail free card and i even had times where i could use both dodges to get off 3 free rockets without any risk of taking damage
Me and my buddy just finished it this morning. Got tot he final fight last night but it was like 5 am and we wiped with 2% health left so we said we would finish it today. We only had me a Titan and him a Warlock and our builds worked very well, but I really like what you guys ran with here!! Awesome ideas for synergy with each other!!
Solo is the way to go. I've played every level I've played so far with a fireteams and solo and they are a breeze solo while with a fireteam the same mission completely slaps. Same enemy that takes I rocket to kill solo now takes 5 to kill with friends.
Running solo, just picked up destiny 3 days ago I’m about halfway through and legendary has been difficult but fun so far. The huge scorn dude in the cramped arena has been the most difficult so far
The REAPING Wellmaker mod is amazing with Void. When you use class ability, your next kill gives a guaranteed void well. Class ability is amazing with all the overshields.
Void Hunter (bottom tree), Pulse with Vorpal/Tunnel Vision, Glaive, and Gallahorn. Ran it solo. Wiped a few times, but slowed things down and ended up having no real problems. Good stuff @KackisHD, thanks!!!
I solo it with my hunter on legend using Omni + arc bow for 99% of the campaign and the new pulse rifle for the last encounter for the wizards. Gally for most, Riven with Sleeper and one time I used Tractor Cannon I believe it was the same room as Riven but with Scorn boss. It shows you can do it in multiple ways and that’s a beauty of it. Super fun to run it.
I’m doing legendary with a mate and honestly, gjallahorn is a life saver all of the damn time Absolute ad clear,and melts all those pesky knights. Overall the exotic to go still at least for me

That sounds good but I’d be buying on a different platform(PSN) to my old main(xbl ) which doesn’t have any good exotics, really. Worst case I could LFG but it sounds exciting. Probably with a little patience(severely lack) I could build up and be successful with the limited gear I’ve got. Super jaded at d2 but prolly gonna nab this. Been on forums griping about the lack of campaign difficulty for a few years & Bungo finally listened
I just beat the entire campaign in legendary mode. It was rough but man did i ever have fun. I’m now hoping to maybe find a few strangers to try and do the taken king raid.
I am playing solo and usually, I use the sniper, along with a linear fusion rifle. When it comes to the shield enemies I use the cold heart to strip the shields. IDK but I think I am gonna complete the campaign like this, I find this loadout to be pretty efficient. Also, use hunter with the void tree.
I'm soloing legendary right now and I gotta say, Le Monarque is doing major work for me. Great at clearing small groups of adds and you can even plink away at minibosses from a distance. Bubble and sword for the really tough ones.
Anything you can use for decent damage at long range is nice. I've been using DMT with vorpal. and it's amazing. Destroys red bars with the exotic primary buff and then does solid damage to majors and bosses with vorpal plus cranial spike.
As a solo player (mostly) for the first time in a very long time I actually feel gratification when beating a tough mission or boss that keeps kicking my butt.
Xenophage helps with killing the Wizards and other majors at a safe enough distance. I can't count how many times that gun has helped me stay alive on Legendary mode.
I'm a Hunter with no friends playing Legendary solo. I've been stuck on the second dark zone of "The Last Chance" for hours now, and I think I may be going insane. Being the class with the littlest defense, as well as the only target means I die in milliseconds from the sheer amount of grenades those acolytes throw at me...
Took me quite a while to beat both. Keep your head up and make sure to swap weapons out depending on the encounter. It was definitely ridiculously difficult on Hunter but specced into invis hard with Omnioculus and getting invis from both melee and dodges. Used Witherhoard and LeMonarque the most.
All I gotta say is the blinding grenades from the grenade launchers are clutch. Doing it solo on legendary felt like a halo campaign on heroic, but got it done in the end
doing the legendary campaign solo and no joke borealis (exotic sniper) has been great for taking care of all the different shield types highly recommend.
My personal strategy there is arbalest so I can also the new void smg funnelweb, while using nezarec's sin for tons of void ability spam with devour and echo of provision.
I gotta say. The combat loop with hive guardians was fun af. Enemies that have supers that are nearly as strong as yours and being able to revive themselves are very fun to fight.
yeah its challenging but i think i got it if i can clear expunge delphi solo without dying then i got this just have to pace myself and play it smart and cautious so far i have done every mission solo on legendary and i just finished the one with the copy of riven
Gotta say the legend campaign wasn't too hard, hardest for me so far was the last part in the communion but haven't finished campaign yet just used bottom tree solar titan for like 80% of campaign xD
I used the same bottom tree Titan Solar class too lol. It works pretty well. I dont know much about the void 3.0 class because i'm still kinda new. I played a bunch of D1 tho
For solo, i would recommend Bleak Watcher, DMT, energy Blinding GL and any tracking rocket, preferably arc. Void Blinder for Scorn/Cabal missions, empty Vessel for the final Mission (mostly the last boss). If an Arc Blinder existed it would have trivialised the campaign tbh as i needed a direct GL hit/stasis smash to pop the Knight's shields and had to use the rocket launcher alot to take them out, leaving me vulnerable for heavy ammo. You can get fancy with Void 3.0 BUT bleak watcher/blinding is already endgame approved, i didn't have a single damage buff/debuff or anything either. Use your stasis super regularly to either begin your attack on the boss/hard enemies OR to end it. The super works with explosive wellmaker + well of life, clear the adds, rush down champions (the Super's armour +finisher armour makes you 100% unkillable during the animation) and use your increased armour to throw down bleak watchers in perfect positions to either cover your attack or retreat. If you're struggling FIND THE SAFE SPOTS! I easily found them everywhere and imo all but one of the bosses and ALL hive guardians are totally passive, they never rush you if you find the safe spots. I am not talking about cheese spots either just good positions. The only exception is the final 3rd of her health phase of the 'Right Hand' wizard boss, the enemies WILL rush you and the room is very small but that said i didn't die i just had to sweat for that one.
I beat the campaign on classic but I want to do it again but on legendary on the same character if I beat it on legendary will I still get the rewards?
I highly recommend playing it on the harder difficulty. I’m not that great of a player that knows the crazy ins and outs like Rick, but I was maxed at 1350. It’s challenging but really fun. This is hands down the best DLC I have played in destiny and dare I say, all video games! It’s unlike any of its predecessors in destiny
Hey so I know warmind cells got nerfed but one cool thing I found out was throwing on wrath of Rasputin with the gally was really cool. So zero build just the 1 mod but Gally will create the Cell and then its secondary tracking will actually blow it up
Would you say using a sword for some of the campaign is a good idea or would you suggest I stick with Rocket Launcher? Using Titan with Izanagis and Funnelweb, or Krait and Bow.
I also recommend witherhoard I used it the entire campaign solo and helps so much with ads if not having ghorn enemies will keep walking into it and just die
I solo legendary Witch queen pretty easy with Witherhord, nation of the beast Bungie roll/ Funnel-web smg, then linear fusion like the trials one or buffed font of might or Threaded Needle.

I don't have as much time to play as I did during the lockdowm and played through about an hour of the legendary campaign. I'm rocking Nezarec with telesto, for tight areas, vorpal DMT and glave for open areas and the same void/ fragment combo as Rick's teammate and I have been cruising through it. Still need to check the artifact to see if there is a glave ammo finder mod. Also using the new hake void RL which is actually a lot of fun
9:57 I did some testing and to use Contraverse Hold, you need to use the aspect Chaos Accelerant to actually charge the grenade. So Kackis saying Contraverse Hold let's you charge a grenade is wrong

Yeah I've been a solo hunter since 2014 D1. This campaign on hard mode solo wasn't to bad for me I melted everything with truth and a hand cannon.

I was running the same but with rat king and wormhusk crown. Constant invis and healing made everything a breeze so far

Correction for my fellow warlocks using controverse hold dont use child of the old bonds. To get the benefit of ch you have to charge your grenade which you can only do with the 1 socket fragmet. I also recommend acion bolts instead and using the pluderthatbooty made last season. Since it used very little seasonal mods it still works great get a grenade back as long as you get a kill.

Soloing the campaign at the moment and started by using the Void 3.0 for Warlock. Ended up switching to stasis with Bleak Watcher a couple of missions in.
lol its hell in there Mark. Having to use an ability for devour will take getting used to. I wasted like 5 grenades tryna consume them in the middle of battle
My go to primary for legendary has been DMT with vorpal. I use it with Salvager's Salvo and actually Threaded Needle. That's right. Linear fusion rifles are still good without particle deconstruction.
I couldn't finish the legendary difficulty due to work tonight also i am soloing it as well, I will run through it tomorrow, legendary difficulty is tough, but so far I've been enjoying witch queen.

@@jmuk3571 it is, the difficulty scales based on how many members are in your fireteam. so the more people you play with, the more difficult it’ll be.

@@jmuk3571 Ehh, a lot of times if I team up someone ends up talking over while I’m trying to listen. Aside from that, I’m seeing different responses as to whether solo will be easy or not. I’m more or less casual, not so big on PVP anymore, and usually try to run uninterrupted as possible through campaigns.

Heads up when using blast radius for protective light procs it's better to use witherhoard to become charged with light it's solid at ad clear great for dps and it autoloads for run and gun use when it tight spots
Witherhoard saved my life countless times. Brought it with me to the very end.
I did the entire legend campaign solo and a loadout that made everything easy was ignition code with blinding, trinity ghoul, and hezen vengeance timelost. Hope this helps!
My loadout for the campaign was Witherhoard, Glaive, Lasting Impression RL. It was way better than i thought it would be at first, and you can really get your glaive targeting up by shooting the butterflies with the glaive
Witherhoard and hollow denial with dragonfly and the perk that heals you on kills when surrounded. Also a heavy rocket launcher with explosive light
Personally, i am in love with the new DLC, the story is hooking and the gameplay is fun? I havent even touched a playlist gamemode yet, also, i have heard that the last cutscene is intriguing to see, just lyak
if you're going solo hunter his loadout is great but id use sixth coyote as your exotic. that allowed me to almost always have a get out of jail free card and i even had times where i could use both dodges to get off 3 free rockets without any risk of taking damage
I'm actually glad the Legendary Campaign actually has some bite to it if you're trying to do it straight out of the gate.
Me and my buddy just finished it this morning. Got tot he final fight last night but it was like 5 am and we wiped with 2% health left so we said we would finish it today. We only had me a Titan and him a Warlock and our builds worked very well, but I really like what you guys ran with here!! Awesome ideas for synergy with each other!!
Solo is the way to go. I've played every level I've played so far with a fireteams and solo and they are a breeze solo while with a fireteam the same mission completely slaps. Same enemy that takes I rocket to kill solo now takes 5 to kill with friends.
Running solo, just picked up destiny 3 days ago I’m about halfway through and legendary has been difficult but fun so far. The huge scorn dude in the cramped arena has been the most difficult so far
The REAPING Wellmaker mod is amazing with Void. When you use class ability, your next kill gives a guaranteed void well. Class ability is amazing with all the overshields.
There was so much to do and so many new weapons I felt a bit overwhelmed...I love it!
Void Hunter (bottom tree), Pulse with Vorpal/Tunnel Vision, Glaive, and Gallahorn. Ran it solo. Wiped a few times, but slowed things down and ended up having no real problems. Good stuff @KackisHD, thanks!!!
I solo it with my hunter on legend using Omni + arc bow for 99% of the campaign and the new pulse rifle for the last encounter for the wizards. Gally for most, Riven with Sleeper and one time I used Tractor Cannon I believe it was the same room as Riven but with Scorn boss. It shows you can do it in multiple ways and that’s a beauty of it. Super fun to run it.

For warlock id highly recomend Nezaracs sin and a void weapon, you get nades really quickly as well as your rift which gets you your void soul as well

Probably with a little patience(severely lack) I could build up and be successful with the limited gear I’ve got. Super jaded at d2 but prolly gonna nab this. I beat the entire campaign in a day. What a campaign I would even put above red war hell even forsaken.
I just beat the entire campaign in legendary mode. It was rough but man did i ever have fun. I’m now hoping to maybe find a few strangers to try and do the taken king raid.

I’m only a couple missions into the legendary campaign (solo) and this is probably the best new mechanic
I am playing solo and usually, I use the sniper, along with a linear fusion rifle. When it comes to the shield enemies I use the cold heart to strip the shields. IDK but I think I am gonna complete the campaign like this, I find this loadout to be pretty efficient. Also, use hunter with the void tree.
Gally is a go to right now . Lol. So good . The last nade on Titan is a beast ! It hits and goes seeking enemies and it’s a beast
I'm soloing legendary right now and I gotta say, Le Monarque is doing major work for me. Great at clearing small groups of adds and you can even plink away at minibosses from a distance. Bubble and sword for the really tough ones.
Agreed. That’s my go to bow as well. Unless I’m in small boss rooms, then it’s Cartesian time.
Anything you can use for decent damage at long range is nice. I've been using DMT with vorpal. and it's amazing. Destroys red bars with the exotic primary buff and then does solid damage to majors and bosses with vorpal plus cranial spike.

As a solo warlock I like using Nothing manacles, Le Monarque with the devour fragment and nade buff fragment. It's slow but effective

Devour/slowva bomb voidlock is super nutty. Im having a blast on legendary mode
Xenophage helps with killing the Wizards and other majors at a safe enough distance. I can't count how many times that gun has helped me stay alive on Legendary mode.
I'm a Hunter with no friends playing Legendary solo. I've been stuck on the second dark zone of "The Last Chance" for hours now, and I think I may be going insane.
Being the class with the littlest defense, as well as the only target means I die in milliseconds from the sheer amount of grenades those acolytes throw at me...
i'm stuck on the Baron fight right now as a solo hunter..
Took me quite a while to beat both. Keep your head up and make sure to swap weapons out depending on the encounter. It was definitely ridiculously difficult on Hunter but specced into invis hard with Omnioculus and getting invis from both melee and dodges. Used Witherhoard and LeMonarque the most.
All I gotta say is the blinding grenades from the grenade launchers are clutch. Doing it solo on legendary felt like a halo campaign on heroic, but got it done in the end
doing the legendary campaign solo and no joke borealis (exotic sniper) has been great for taking care of all the different shield types highly recommend.

My personal strategy there is arbalest so I can also the new void smg funnelweb, while using nezarec's sin for tons of void ability spam with devour and echo of provision.

I gotta say. The combat loop with hive guardians was fun af. Enemies that have supers that are nearly as strong as yours and being able to revive themselves are very fun to fight.

Playing on legendary had me either using stasis or had me going into my vault to ponder what's best Ultimately Gjally did me justice on my solo run
Gotta say the legend campaign wasn't too hard, hardest for me so far was the last part in the communion but haven't finished campaign yet just used bottom tree solar titan for like 80% of campaign xD
I used the same bottom tree Titan Solar class too lol. It works pretty well. I dont know much about the void 3.0 class because i'm still kinda new. I played a bunch of D1 tho
For solo, i would recommend Bleak Watcher, DMT, energy Blinding GL and any tracking rocket, preferably arc. Void Blinder for Scorn/Cabal missions, empty Vessel for the final Mission (mostly the last boss). If an Arc Blinder existed it would have trivialised the campaign tbh as i needed a direct GL hit/stasis smash to pop the Knight's shields and had to use the rocket launcher alot to take them out, leaving me vulnerable for heavy ammo. You can get fancy with Void 3.0 BUT bleak watcher/blinding is already endgame approved, i didn't have a single damage buff/debuff or anything either.
Use your stasis super regularly to either begin your attack on the boss/hard enemies OR to end it. The super works with explosive wellmaker + well of life, clear the adds, rush down champions (the Super's armour +finisher armour makes you 100% unkillable during the animation) and use your increased armour to throw down bleak watchers in perfect positions to either cover your attack or retreat.
If you're struggling FIND THE SAFE SPOTS! I easily found them everywhere and imo all but one of the bosses and ALL hive guardians are totally passive, they never rush you if you find the safe spots. I am not talking about cheese spots either just good positions. The only exception is the final 3rd of her health phase of the 'Right Hand' wizard boss, the enemies WILL rush you and the room is very small but that said i didn't die i just had to sweat for that one.

Before starting the campaign you can go to the tower and talk with ikora to buy all the grenades for void 3.0

I highly recommend playing it on the harder difficulty. I’m not that great of a player that knows the crazy ins and outs like Rick, but I was maxed at 1350. It’s challenging but really fun. This is hands down the best DLC I have played in destiny and dare I say, all video games! It’s unlike any of its predecessors in destiny
Hey so I know warmind cells got nerfed but one cool thing I found out was throwing on wrath of Rasputin with the gally was really cool. So zero build just the 1 mod but Gally will create the Cell and then its secondary tracking will actually blow it up

Would you say using a sword for some of the campaign is a good idea or would you suggest I stick with Rocket Launcher? Using Titan with Izanagis and Funnelweb, or Krait and Bow.
I also recommend witherhoard I used it the entire campaign solo and helps so much with ads if not having ghorn enemies will keep walking into it and just die

hey guys its rick "im soloing witch queen campiagn cuz i want all the loot" khakis here, one question at 3:47 you said one revive per teamate, would that mean if you were solo you would get one rerive or would you get zero in the darkness area?
I don't have as much time to play as I did during the lockdowm and played through about an hour of the legendary campaign. I'm rocking Nezarec with telesto, for tight areas, vorpal DMT and glave for open areas and the same void/ fragment combo as Rick's teammate and I have been cruising through it. Still need to check the artifact to see if there is a glave ammo finder mod. Also using the new hake void RL which is actually a lot of fun
9:57 I did some testing and to use Contraverse Hold, you need to use the aspect Chaos Accelerant to actually charge the grenade. So Kackis saying Contraverse Hold let's you charge a grenade is wrong
I did the whole thing on Shadebinder with Eyasluna, Salvager's Salvo, and Gjallarhorn. It worked like a charm.
I used Vex Mythoclast all the way. Absolutely melts enemies.
