I'm the type of person that can do well at one task, but to take care of other stuff while working on your main task is unreal. Reflecting on this job, I am still in awe of the level of precision it demands. Ultimately, I transitioned to a different career path due to the low pay, long hours, lack of benefits, and challenging work conditions. It’s astonishing that this role doesn’t offer at least $35/hour given the constant workload and intense physical demands. The job requires complete focus, with no downtime, and involves being hunched over for extended periods, which takes a toll on one’s body. I genuinely admire the structured approach and organized system this individual has created. It’s a well exactitude dance.
Its insane the amount of gloves one person goes through in an hour. The sheer amount of latex being thrown out after so little use is wild when you to apply to every food server in all situations if they followed the same rule set.
They are also a false sense of security, absolutely ridiculous. They have a place but this isn’t it, and boy howdy if they touch that heat you’re done, rather have bare handed burn.
Best part of this, how well organized it is and it's functional. Worked too many kitchens that higher ups see you misplace the spatula by an inch and they blow up on you

Reminds me of my days back at ihop my first job. Breakfast cooks definitely got the hardest job compare to other restaurants I've been at. The breakfast rush is also way longer so you are constantly just at it.

This is literally IHop, about as simple as you can get. This is basically fast food level of kitchen work, they just serve it on a plate instead of a wrapper.

That's why he doesn't salt & pepper anything (except the fries & hamburgers). People's seasoning preferences & restrictions are too wide spread. An over seasoned (salted) dish could mean a send-back which is lost time and money.
Have you ever added a little milk or cream to the scrambled eggs? My mom and gram always did - really makes them fluffier and creamier. You do such an awesome job - I’ve always been so amazed at the speed and consistency of how you can cook all of these dishes at the same time. Super skills!🙌🏽
That’s a depression era trick for when you didn’t have enough eggs. Scrambled eggs are fluffy and creamy based on the way you cook them. I mean like actually moving them in the pan, plus the heat, and what kind of fat you use.
