This this this. I played Bloodstone not to long after Splinter Cell Conviction. The similarities are evident, but both games were just so good and then no one ever played Bloodstone for some reason. It's a shame because I read that it was supposed to be part of a trilogy of games, but that fell through after horrible sales of the first game.

I remember playing Red Dead Revolver back in the day and liking the QuickDraw segments a lot, and when Rockstar made Red Dead Redemption I got excited thinking it is a sequel but I was still very happy with the game we got instead.
During the video, they say the combat in this game is quick time events, but it was not. Fight segments were like a lock on 2d fighting brawler that absolutely captured Bourne's fighting scenes, loved it.
Such a shame games like Dead to Rights are Stranglehold are a dying genre. We need more urban crime third person shooters! Total Overdose should have been an honourable mention. :)

No love for Bulletstorm? That game was criminally under-rated. The style-kill system was hilarious, the combat was over-the-top and very satisfying, and the narrative was a mixture of seriousness and perfectly timed potty humor that always made me laugh. Add to that the minor cliffhanger ending and the sequel we'll never get and you've got a hidden gem on your hands. Cheers!

I have fond memories of the 90% of these games I owned. All of which are criminally underrated. The bourne conspiracy didn’t feature Matt Damon because it was based purely on the character from the books and not the movie and also expanded upon the movie. Think it made the game better by giving the gamer familiarity as well as delving deeper into the backstory which the movie didn’t show. Would love a remaster for all these games.
I keep wondering if the new SSDs in consoles will let you do even 'more' destruction. If so, a Red Faction built like Guerrilla would be an amazing way to see it all. I don't think Guerrilla is talked about enough either. People definitely enjoyed it, but the ability to make even the buildings feel like an organic part of the world is pretty big.

I never got to play the suffering but I desperately wanted to. I can't remember if I didn't have the hardware to play it on or if I lacked the funds (likely both at that age) but I loved the look of it from the trailers and I would kill for a remake.
Binary Domain is great. I only played it recently but I really enjoyed it, esp bc it has the charm of Yakuza writing with a 3rd person shooting system.
While many of these are some personal favorites, I also get why they may have been overlooked, but *Spec Ops The Line* deserves to be in a museum or something. The narrative and how it uses gaming to tell it is a masterpiece.
I'm playing Spec Ops the line for the first time. I never really got around to it but I always see it mentioned as highly underrated and very thought provoking. Not a typical bro dude macho "murica" type of shooter.
I have never heard anyone ever talk about MDK2... almost to the point that I wasn't sure it really existed and I imagined it. But it was really fun. And Stranglehold was really good.

I've played and still have spec ops the line, army of two the 40th day (plus the 1st and 3rd game), and lost planet well the 3rd game never played only heard of the first 2 games. Also I heard of the bourne conspiracy and was planning to get it but after looking at gameplay it looked like splinter cell conviction and 007 blood stone mixed (which I have those game) so I didn't get it and interesting bourne conspiracy came first on 2008 while conviction and blood stone came out 2 year's later on 2010 which properly means the 2 games were inspired by the bourne game. Binary Domain is, seriously, one of the best third person shooters I've ever played. Not only it had an interesting morale system, but you could also destroy different body parts off of enemies and they would act differently. It's such a jem!
I loved stranger's Wrath! It actually had a great story with a twist I never saw coming. Strangle Hold was also great, I remember playing it at my friend's house back in high school.
white phosphorus was the biggest punch in the gut I think I've ever experienced playing any game. It made me feel a way I never had before playing a game and for that spec ops the line is one of my all time favorite narratives.

Army of Two !! Hands down the best game on the list ! I played the first and second. For some reason I think I even played the 3rd. A must play with a friend. My son and I loved it.
The Suffering was a great game and the 'slayers' were some of the best characters ever with their blade noises being one of the serious creepy noises ever! SI-OPS was a great too and really gave you some quality super powers!

Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy was a brilliant game! The combining of standard firearms with psionic powers made for some of the most awesome attacks I’ve ever played on any format. Cool story with fascinating characters. I would love to see more from that team. A PS5 port would be the best followed up by a legitimate sequel! The game mechanics were unbelievable for a PS2. It boggles the mind that this title didn’t get the recognition it deserved.
Cool list! Yep, definitely haven't played any of these games :D On a side note, I feel like "shoulder switching" should be a standard for all "third-person" shooters. It just makes so much sense to me because the character being visible on-screen is like a blind spot for the player and this game-mechanic gets around that. Naughty Dog did it so well with their TPS games.
I loved Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath but I never got the chance to finish it. I only got about two thirds in to the game, I had borrowed a friend's Xbox and had to give it back before I finished the game. But that being said I came across the HD remaster of it the other day on Steam so I brought it, this time I will finish it after I finish BioShock 2 remastered. It's such a unique game and there isn't anything else like it and I can't wait to play it again.
Excellent though it was, wasn't Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath a third person Action-Adventure for travel and melee, but with all the actual shooting done in the First Person perspective? Personally, I'd replace it with something like Uncharted: Golden Abyss (which has the best shooting and climbing mechanics in the series, arguably the best collectibles, one of the better stories, and arguably the best villain in Dante) or Danganronpa Another: Ultra Despair Girls (which is basically a more trippy analog to something like Resident Evil 4).
I’ll tell you game. I don’t know if it sold well back then. It didn’t get great reviews and a lot of people don’t know about it today. That’s “Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn”. That game was awesome.

I loved army of two forty days and the original. I think a reboot or sequel would do well with more emphasis on couch co-OP in the current gen. The Bourne game was a hidden gem definitely and the mini cooper chase was probably my favorite part.
I've played Binary Domain to death. It's a fantastic hidden gem game. Likable characters, brilliant gunplay, a decent and intriguing story and it even made fighting robots fun as hell. I want a remaster, I DEMAND a sequel and I want more people to play it. PS: Army of Two: The 40th Day would make a very good movie. Over the top, relentless and exhausting action. Like The Raid but with guns and explosion.
yeah played through the game today, what a beautiful game and the story is something to behold, its weird more people dont know about it, the graphics has not aged bad in my opinion even though its from 2012

Unfortunally i didnt had the chance to play army of 2 the 40th day at its peak, binary domain, i played lost planet 1 and and 2 and really liked the second game, psi ops looks amazing, and i would really love to play, Condemned criminal origins and Condemned 2 Bloodshot, and unfortunally alot of potential in this video was lot, i wish alot of this games had sequels today in current gen consoles, or remakes or remastered versions

There was a Transformers game before Devastation that I had a ton of fun with. I think it was War for Cybertron. Everything or Nothing was the 3rd person bond game I loved.
anakinsol The first two in the War for Cybertron series were fun. I’ve never much cared for Transformers, but I enjoyed those. I don’t get the fuss over Devastation though, because it was repetitive and bland. As for Everything or Nothing: You’re right. I loved it too. It was fantastic, and the best Bond game outside of Goldeneye. I forgot to mention it That motorcycle chase level was amazing
@@cpurday9681 Yes! That motorcycle chase level was insane. I was in the zone once and made it through to the cutscene at top speed. That game was just full of great stages. I also spent a tone of time in the co-op mode.
Did anyone ever play quantum theory? It was one of the few tps games that I didn't play during the 360/ps3 era. Also I have several games to add, transfromers war for cybertron and transfromers fall of cybertron were both really good tps titles. Two more that are actually fps games, but both great and worth mentioning are Singularity and Syndicate(the 2012 ea title, not ac!)
just played binary domain, and i must say... its a damn masterpiece the gameplay is spot on, the atmosphere is superb, graphics has aged pretty good i would say, ive never heard of it before a few days ago... buy it for cheap on g2a think i got it for 3 or 4 dollars there, best money ive ever spent 18 hours of fun

Glad 2 see Dead to Rights on here. Great game despite its Max Payne heavy influence. It had some intense moments & tough bosses 4 its time.

I loved army of two forty days and the original. I think a reboot or sequel would do well with more emphasis on couch co-OP in the current gen. The Bourne game was a hidden gem definitely and the mini cooper chase was probably my favorite part.

I played Binary Domain a couple of years ago and totally loved it.
I remember playing MDK2 demo which was there in a CD from a PC magazine. Those were the fun days.
I've played Binary Domain to death. It's a fantastic hidden gem game. Likable characters, brilliant gunplay, a decent and intriguing story and it even made fighting robots fun as hell. I want a remaster, I DEMAND a sequel and I want more people to play it.
PS: Army of Two: The 40th Day would make a very good movie. Over the top, relentless and exhausting action. Like The Raid but with guns and explosion.
yeah played through the game today, what a beautiful game and the story is something to behold, its weird more people dont know about it, the graphics has not aged bad in my opinion even though its from 2012
Nobody ever mentions syphon filter. Especially the ported PSP titles to the PS2 are just fantastic
do you guys know what third person game is when you start as a soldier and then the next mission is basically you carrying boxes in the harbor, it has this mafia feel to it

Unfortunally i didnt had the chance to play army of 2 the 40th day at its peak, binary domain, i played lost planet 1 and and 2 and really liked the second game, psi ops looks amazing, and i would really love to play, Condemned criminal origins and Condemned 2 Bloodshot, and unfortunally alot of potential in this video was lot, i wish alot of this games had sequels today in current gen consoles, or remakes or remastered versions

Loved the Lost Planet series!! Another franchise I wish Capcom would put time into.
Transformers Devastation was a boring, overrated mess.
This list needs James Bond: Quantum of Solace and, especially, Bloodstone. Also: The Darkness and The Darkness 2. And Gun

Bloodstone and Tomorrow Never Dies were third person shooters
There was a Transformers game before Devastation that I had a ton of fun with. I think it was War for Cybertron. Everything or Nothing was the 3rd person bond game I loved.
anakinsol The first two in the War for Cybertron series were fun. I’ve never much cared for Transformers, but I enjoyed those. I don’t get the fuss over Devastation though, because it was repetitive and bland.
As for Everything or Nothing: You’re right. I loved it too. It was fantastic, and the best Bond game outside of Goldeneye. I forgot to mention it

@@cpurday9681 Yes! That motorcycle chase level was insane. I was in the zone once and made it through to the cutscene at top speed. That game was just full of great stages. I also spent a tone of time in the co-op mode.
Did anyone ever play quantum theory? It was one of the few tps games that I didn't play during the 360/ps3 era. Also I have several games to add, transfromers war for cybertron and transfromers fall of cybertron were both really good tps titles. Two more that are actually fps games, but both great and worth mentioning are Singularity and Syndicate(the 2012 ea title, not ac!)

just played binary domain, and i must say... its a damn masterpiece the gameplay is spot on, the atmosphere is superb, graphics has aged pretty good i would say, ive never heard of it before a few days ago... buy it for cheap on g2a think i got it for 3 or 4 dollars there, best money ive ever spent 18 hours of fun

i LOVED KILL SWITCH!!!! and Spec Ops: The Line was also an amazing game at the time...INCREDIBLE soundtrack.
