Could you make the beam as small as when it hits the focal point it stays that small then hit a 90° mirror so goes to the side , makes a big detour then is resized close to the wall where you have placed currently the one you have. This way you could walk right in front of the lens and appear invisible
I would love to make a box using lense arrangements like this so you have some compartments where you can store stuff without anyone knowing and you could say it's a flip box and only use 6 lenses in total so everything you see through the box is flipped so you have a reason for it so people don't question it
So I paused / rewatched the video trying to figure the trick out and then I noticed the shadows the lenses and it's pillar were making. I kinda figured it out that the lenses were doing something so I technically figured what he did without the explanation.
Some guy put this science/tech into a very thin sheet of plastic with micro pores to refract the light, the same is found in TV monitors with a light around the perimeter as opposed to the back, because that gives a proper even light; DIY perks TH-cam channel used it to make realistic faux skylights anywhere in his home. The guy who did this tech with these sheets is striving for a business with invisibility shields, different micro patterns giving different effects like a house of mirrors due to the shapes of those mirrors. It's a great tech, quite versatile
It blew my mind as a kid when I was reading a Starcraft novel (Shadow of the Xel'Naga) and it explained how the Dark Templar cloaked by bending the light rays around themselves so a viewer would only see what was on the other side of them. I was like "holy crap.....that's all we would have to do! Then we would have invisibility! It's actually possible!" Little did I understand how hard it was to create a discreet means of bending light in such a manner.
