Proves that some people have their priorities straight. And I thought the Stanley water bottles were the craze. I've got to get me some new kit. Thanks for sharing. Love it.
Glad I saw this video in my Feed. Have virtually everything that's included except the STANLEY lunchbox. Well then, that's going to get taken care ASAP, especially after seeing this perfect little kit. 🙌 🤗
This is an enjoyable, relaxing and fun little video for us coffee adventurers! As a coffee and outdoors enthusiast I was very impressed with this portable "cafe". I plan to start my collection soon! Thank you for attaching a detailed list of items in the description below!
Despite the complaints about cost, this is a fun idea. Some of this stuff can be bought used, such as a toolbox instead of the stanley lunch box. Coffee can be ground at home or regular ground coffee can be used. Bring hot water in an old thermos. That leaves room for extras like flavorings and milk/cream in a small insulated container. Sure, you can make coffee before you leave, but sometimes we just want a ritual.
Very nicely done. It shows you really appreciate a good cup of coffee in a wonderful place. Nice job putting the descriptions of the various items in there too.
Wow I really enjoyed this video. I loved the brew kit also. Everything so logically thought through and fitting perfectly in a small container. It's probably not for taking on a long hike up a steep mountain where every little ounce of weight matters but for picnic at the beach or the park or a gentle stroll through the wilderness it looks perfect. Thank you so much for sharing
Awesome. I didn't know there were videos out there like this, so this was great to watch. I love the mixture of old and new into a sort of 'coffee ceremony'. I like how intentional your choices and movements were. Kind of inspiring because I did a dayhike recently and made coffee at the turnaround point and found it really enjoyable. I think I'll refine my kit into a system, too. Thank you for sharing this video.
I was kayak fishing a couple weekends back and (for the first time) brought my mini stove and a Stanley French Press and made a fresh cup of Peete's. It was so damn enjoyable. Prior to that I'd bring a thermos but the act of heating the water and brewing the coffee was just great...and the fresh brewed coffee really hit the spot. I definitely recommend the Stanley French Press.
We love the Stanley French press too! And yes, making fresh coffee in a scenic place is such a pleasure. Life is busy, take a pause, and enjoy the moment while you can
What a stellar idea, I now have a new use for mine because they are a little cumbersome when it comes to a everyday lunch box, before now it just held a roll of yard debri trash bags.
Love it!!!😍😍😍 The way the cutting board kinda snaps into place like it was made for the kit. Also the little light hanging bar that hooks into the lid. It's all just such a well thoughtout and fully equipped kit. I'm quite envious! 😊
Pretty cool kit. When I am backpacking, at the end of a long day, or on a freezing morning, I want coffee hot, and I want it NOW. My SVEA 123R fits inside my Fire Maple pot or the SIGG Tourist cook set, which lets me boil water to start hot cereal in the big pot, then boil beverage water in the smaller pot with the larger pot on top as the cereal finishes cooking about the time the beverage water is hot. Folger’s Instant, Swiss Miss cocoa mix, (cut to Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now, “The horror, the horror!”) and good slug of Jack Daniel’s really takes the sting out of last night’s fresh September snowfall. The best part was hearing my daughter exclaim “Wow! What did you put in this coffee?” My response was “Lord, have mercy, and protect us, we’ve been drinking whisky before breakfast!”
A very cool kit, and a very nice presentation. The light was my favorite part. I gave up coffee a couple years ago, at age 67, after being a coffee addict for about sixty years. I feel so much better without coffee, or any other stimulants. I’m much calmer, and definitely sleep SO much better. Give it a try. You’ll be amazed.
Do you wake up happier and more balanced? I don’t drink coffee, but I drink a pretty big amount of green tea. Last year I gave it up for about 5 months and I just felt happier. Then a stressful thing happened to me and I was back on it, and since… last summer.
I keep thinking about this... telling myself I'll be happier without coffee, yet not believing it! What a coincidence that in this universe of comments, I found yours. But sir... why were you watching this video?! 😅
in the NE we are always in a rush, why Starbucks is so profitable. you had a great cup of pour over with a nice background and turned into a Kodak moment for us - thank you.
Really like the light, grinder, and the French press. I bring a long an O-lantern. Not the new big one with the speaker. But the small one comes with two bulbs one of which is a flickering flame that I use the most. I run with a Stanley French press that gets the job done with decent results. Not perfect but I like it. Like the boxes. Mostly for ideas.
Nice kit. Looks like there's even enough room for a couple packages to ramen, a bag of jerky and even a zip lock bag of oatmeal. Thanks for the video and for sharing.
awesome video. I would probably just bring ground coffee but i love your grinder! my only critique is that this video would be easier to follow with a simple voiceover. I feel like having to read everything makes me really have to focus and takes a lot longer than reading it as an article. I appreciate the quiet and sounds but this very informative setup video would be nice with a V/O also. thanks for sharing all this!
Pretty nice kit and a great use of space in the box. Thanks for the great ideas! Also, don't forget to dump your filter wash water before actually starting your pour over, I've made that mistake enough times to regret it 😅
Cool video but when I go hunting I just fill up my thermos with hot water to make myself some hot cocoa just because I don't have room in my hunting backpack for all that stuff. I like the cutting board that fits in the lunch box
I drilled a little hole in the top of my stanley pot and then put a french press plunger through it so you could boil water in the same press i make coffee in.
have the stanley cup, what i usually store in it is 2 of the smaller butane cartridges upside down with 1 of the smaller msr folding burners. i think i got the pocket rocket.
your hands and arms are so nice and smooth. that coffee bean container and grinder was over-kill, though. But, I think I learned a lot from your video - how I could enjoy my lunches away from home a lot better.
I think I will take your idea and combine it with my Stanley Travel Mug French Press. This will make a nice addition to my catfishing adventures. Thank you for the idea. Time to do some shopping. 😉
You might like plugging this cooktop into your Tesla. It boils water in seconds! You need to use a magnetic pot with it. These cooktops are used in van builds around the home etc. I enjoy it very much. I also enjoy pour over and the AeroPress very much! Happy travels!
I have something similar based around one of those plastic ammo boxes, but I love your Stanley lunch box and the kit in general, especiAlly the table and the light. I am not keen on the stove or the Stanley "kettle" though as i find them too unstable. I prefer a gas stove where the burner is at ground level and gas canister is joined to it by a bit of tubing on the basis lower is better. Kettle wise, I prefer a lower, wider more traditional shaped camping kettle as it I find it more stable on the stove. The trade off is that a traditional kettle is not really very versatile, unlike the Stanley version. One thing you could add is half a dozen simple skewer type tent pegs as they are great for pegging down the windscreen or even the stove with a bit of thought...
@@slow_beat if you want to peg your stove down, you need a set of those clip-on x shaped bases that go on the bottom of the gas canister...You can then drill the plastic "feet" that stick out such that you end up with holes to put the tent pegs through and into the ground...
I’m one of the coffee nerds that bought a roll up table! In my defence tho’ it came complete with hook stand for those mini metal cups, some beautiful leather covers for the latches and handle, as well as a magnetic, “seat” to place the Stanley on, which can double as a serving tray.
Those are fancy, and definitely useful! There is a brand called Unito that makes very well designed wood tray and accessories for this lunch box, tho they are based in Thailand the shipping fee is expensive
Wow, I really like this idea of having all your Coffee stuff in one little box. I’ve got all this kind of stuff that I found at thrift stores and garage sales but the one thing I’m missing is the dang Stanley Cook cup. but I’m gonna hold out. I’ve got about five dollars in to all the things that I have so I don’t wanna break the bank spending almost 15 on that one item.😮😵💫🙄🥴😉

Thank you! Yes we have this box in the car and use it for casual outdoor coffee, it is too heavy for carrying around
Thanks for doing the work and putting together a pretty awesome kit. This is a perfect gift for my wife for our camping trips. 👍

@@slow_beat Thanks 😊
Wow! I am impressed. So many useful stuff in such a small place!
Thank you for watching!
Clean set up. Went with ur IKEA cutting board idea works great. Thanks.
Glad that helps! Thank you for watching!
Great to see what you've done with the lunchbox. My father and I carried one for years, but usually with just a sandwich and thermos.
This is such a classic gear and we try to make it more useful! Thanks for watching!

I was also reminded of tea ceremony ❤🔥
We just made a video for that:)
Awesome coffee bar setup! Thanks for sharing.
What a stellar idea, I now have a new use for mine because they are a little cumbersome when it comes to a everyday lunch box, before now it just held a roll of yard debri trash bags.
Glad that you are giving it a new life! Thanks for watching!
OMG now I have to put one of these together.......I might not ever use it but damn that's sweet! Thank you for sharing!
So glad I came across your video, literally gasped and ordered the ikea cutting board immediately after. Thanks for the tip :) !!

This kit, and video, is intensely satisfying.
Glad to hear that, thank for watching!
Very cool… I really like it. Of course a big giant thermos of coffee in the box with leave you room for sandwiches and snacks and cookies.
definitely!
Love it!!!😍😍😍 The way the cutting board kinda snaps into place like it was made for the kit. Also the little light hanging bar that hooks into the lid. It's all just such a well thoughtout and fully equipped kit. I'm quite envious! 😊

Now that’s a system! I have some of the pieces already but could definately use some of the others.

Excellent.
Real class all the way.
Thank you for watching!
Nice little coffee kit.
What a great idea! You have inspired me. Wonder if an ammo can will work instead of a Stanley box.
That will be a cool idea!
It does! I use a small (30 cal.) plastic ammo can for my coffee kit. Works perfect!
@@mattsmark74 I was thinking a 50 cal. but yeah that's great!
WOW! I'll shure be hading for the mountains now - with that! You forgot your high heals and your tiny umbrella 🤣

that is nice too!
I can't believe you can only get two canisters in the Stanley cup! It always looked so much bigger on TV. 🏒🏆😏
Is there a prayer or chant to be done while preparing the holy coffee?

Did you custom make the wire to hang the light or were you able to purchase that somewhere? Thanks!
