I found the Purge Valve on a 2006 chevy Colorado. its located under the alternator remove the front driver tire to access to it. My check engine light clear
Thanks man, a lot of people only show the vent solenoid in the back when code p0449 shows up. Glad you showed the purge valve swell. Looks like its gonna be a pain to get out
You can use a Hummer H3 canister for around $25 and use it on the Colorado. All you have to do is use a section of hose and come clamps instead of that quick connector.
I have a 2006 Colorado which is displaying a code of PO 496. I'm also hearing like a rattling noise that seems to be coming from the area of where the alternator is. I was wondering if you also had similar noises coming from the area prior to replacing the canister?
Next time you have to buy a new one for the rear search for it for the h3 or just the part number on the bottom because it's a lot cheaper for some reason .
I'm from Houston, Texas I bought it O'Reilly I don't buy parts from Auto Zone they cheap parts and too expensive. I'm not sure if there's an O'Reilly where you from
