    Thanks so much for these wonderful videos. I always love your commentaries too.
    As for the object in the Charity card:
    Charity holds a flame in her hand. This represents the "fire of charity", which in Catholic theology, the will of charity wishes the salvation of souls and the fire of truth that cleanses us from sin.

    I've learned so much from you. I'm only starting out on my TdM journey and I appreciate all your knowledge. I'd pay a few $ a month to be a channel member. I have the patron app but rarely use it. I don't have the capacity for so many apps. I'd pay a few dollars a month for a TH-cam membership to your channel. I wouldn't expect much from it. Maybe a weekly or monthly members only TdM lesson.

    Thank you. New references jumped at me as you were sharing. We do not have all the decks to compare. But some of your musings tap onto symbolic compressed nuances worth noting.

      Thank you for saying so. The Spencer's deck holds up pretty well and seems to compare with the Al Cigna deck. Of course we're not talking quality paper stock and it's got titles on the cards, but for $20 it's a great find.

    I'd like to see more on how to read the Minchiate and a comparison of the older ones with a more modern one like the Brian Williams version. I first saw the Williams version on your channel and purchased it. Thanks 55:46

    • @MarilynFromTarotClarity
      @MarilynFromTarotClarity  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for this idea. I think I might have compared Brian's Minchiate to a few historic examples already. I've also done a video comparison with a very inexpensive Minchiate. I'll check my Minchiate playlist to see. If I didn't, I'll put your idea in my queue and if I did, I'll send you the link. Thank you for watching and sharing your feelings. ~ Marilyn

    Wonderful comparisons! I’m so surprised to how similar the Spencer Minchiate was to the Al Cigno! 🤔
    You’re right with your thoughts about some of the transitions of some cards from Minchiate to TdM. So many possibilities 😉
    As I always say; so many tangents. 😂
    Thank you for such a wonderful presentation

      I'm glad you enjoyed it Richard. I'm thinking of doing a pip comparison, unless they're all basically the same. Isn't crazy about Al Cigna and the Spencers? It seems likely the Al Cigna was the deck they copied. Thank you for gifting me with this and other beautiful decks and making the last few videos possible. ~ Marilyn

    You were right, Marilyn. It was fascinating. The Spencer deck is pretty cool, except for the titles. That would rule it out for me. I like both Lo Scarabeo decks - of course, the Il Meneghello decks would be my first choice. But I was so happy with the Lo Scarabeo Al Soldato that I might treat myself to one or both of their Minchiate decks. I love how excited you get when discussing your theories. They make perfect sense. As always, time well spent. Thanks, again.

    • @MarilynFromTarotClarity
      @MarilynFromTarotClarity  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, the titles on the Spencer's is definitely off-putting, but if a person has limited means and really each wants a Minchiate, it isn't a bad if albeit temporary option. Thank you as always, for watching and commenting! ~ Marilyn

      @@MarilynFromTarotClarity I just ordered the Al Cigno. I'm excited. I think it's very interesting that it contains those extra cards for the elements and the zodiac. I know nothing about astrology, only that I'm an aquarius. I was delivered by a midwife in Germany and have no idea what time I was born, so I don't think I can get much from astrology, but it's pretty cool, nonetheless. Thanks for the lesson. I'll watch the other Minchiate video today or tomorrow.

      @frances robinson I've read that if someone doesn't know their exact time of birth, the suggestion is to use noon, being mid day. It's not exact, but it seems a reasonable option. I hope you love the Al Cigna when it arrives! ~ Marilyn

    As always, learning a tid bit or two watching your videos...which is the most I seem to be able to handle at one time so it's perfect. I will make sure to reference you and your channel if I ever become proficient enough with my speaking haha. I was wondering if you know of any decks where the star card is the person with the tools, like we saw in the moon card in these decks. I am coming to a whole new appreciation ( l loved it anyway but it seems so much more than before with the context of history) of Patrick Valenza's Trionfi Della Luna. In his it is the star card that has the astronomer, and I wonder where he picked that up from...

    • @MarilynFromTarotClarity
      @MarilynFromTarotClarity  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The old Italian decks, prior to the French TdM, had simple representations of the sun, moon, and star cards, sometimes with astronomical tools like calipers. The Vieville and some decks contemporary to it also did. Thank you for watching and asking. ~ Marilyn

    I'm really surprised by the Spencer's Minchiate Tarot Cards and how much I like them. However, the current box that's at Spencer's now is marked $19.95 and says that it's a 78-card deck. I'm guessing the next best price is going to be Lo Scarabeo's Minchiate Al Cigno and that's a 97-card deck.

    • @MarilynFromTarotClarity
      @MarilynFromTarotClarity  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh man, that's a real disappointment. The Spencer Minchiate, ironically, closely resembles the AL Cigna, except in that it titles the cards. I imagine these novelty stores are hit and miss with their tarot products. I think there's a surge every time I showcase one of their decks 🤣. I would keep an eye on their website, you never know what they'll have. I bought my very 1st tarot deck from either Spencer's or Spain's (they are similar stores), and it was the 1JJ Swiss Tarot deck, now a classic! Thank you for watching~ Marilyn

    • @MarilynFromTarotClarity

      I just went to their website and they have it! The box might say 78 cards (mine does too) but that could have been an error made by someone in packaging it. If you look at the cards in the photos, you'll see it's a Minchiate deck with astrological cards, etc. If you want it, it appears to be available. ~ Marilyn
