To not allow a few No Selling moments...that's watering down the team as a whole and not understanding who Hawk and Animal were and why they were legends. I mean seriously...seriously...after they joined the WWF/E they were basically disrespected and ruined by the end of their tenure there. The Road Warrior's first TV match was in 1983, the events described by RVD was in 1995. Older talent are supposed to put over younger talent. It's how the new generation get their street credits for the TV show. Buddy Rogers, Nick Bockwinkle, Harley Race put over Rick Flair when he was starting out. I think it would be silly to not assume Hawk was tough but I don’t think he would have faired great against anybody with martial arts training of nearly any kind even in his prime. JR told a story of Hawk and Dr Death nearly going at it in the mid 80’s and if that fight actually had went down, I’m not sure Hawk would have held the same reputation afterwards. It’s all speculation and I don’t mean any disrespect but just going over history of how those kinds of fights tend to go.
Even before the liver damage, Hawk was strong, but he didn’t know how to fight.
Thats like, what he did… Hawk no sold everything…
RVD was a mid card wrestler who says here ' I was a star', but compared to the LOD in the Kane match? Did you hear the pop in the match? I'm proud that they no sold it and just laid down at the end LOD had no story line going forward (Hawk made a pass at my girlfriend, etc_) Greatest tag team ever.
Hawk drank the belts off LOD in WWE
RVDology is A WAY OF LIFE
I fucking LOVE RVD
As a fan of the Road Warriors since the early 80's when they were in the AWA to sell to certain moves...that's betraying what the Road Warriors were. They no sold certain moves all the time and the crowd popped for it. To not allow a few No Selling moments...that's watering down the team as a whole and not understanding who Hawk and Animal were and why they were legends. I mean seriously...seriously...after they joined the WWF/E they were basically disrespected and ruined by the end of their tenure there. Really really pissed me off to no end knowing what I knew about them in the AWA and the NWA/WCW. In fact..the way the Road Warriors were treated in the WWE in the later years still pisses me off. Good for Hawk for not being a trained organ grinder's monkey.
Flair put over Dusty Rhodes, Sting, Ronny Garvin. The win over an opponent isn't impressive if he loses all of the time.
@@HepCatJack It's one thing to put over some one, it's another to get buried. And brother, the Road Warriors looked like they got buried that night
@@njldst2007 the road warriors were also no-selling the Skyscrapers and Dan Spivey & Mean Mark (the Undertaker) were a lot bigger than they were.
@@HepCatJack But that was the peak of the Road Warriors career, and the Skyscrapers were a very new WCW-only stable, the Road Warriors sold for them when it came time to sell, they just made sure they earned it
Nah you get paid to do a job, WWE does things differently. basically they had a sulk and decided to act like idiots. Plus they weren't in any shape or condition to be no selling a chokeslam and five star frog flash, get real lol
Glad Paul got off his dial up connection lol
Hawk's last moments were really sad.
The Roadwarriors were both the most over tag team and the most over rated tag team . The Warriors never wanted to realize their time was up . We had seen their best and they were never gonna be that impressive again .
RVD almost told him to pick a foot lol
Not selling was kinda Hawks thing
That was a raw match correct?
Hey Renee, have you ever played a WWE game online back in the PS2 days?
I like RVD and I know RVD is a tough guy, but Hawk would have DETSROYED him if he had tried to smack him. RVD stands ZERO chance against Hawk in a real fight
On the flip side, RVD's moves are so lame and fake looking that no-selling would be the most realistic response and add a touch of realism.
It's easy to talk when someone passed away and ain't around to defend himself
Yep. Even dead the Road Warriors will remain larger than life. Just the facts.
I can't remember hawk selling for anybody
Not very often but when they were leaving a territory back in the day he would animal did all the time
They did for Cornette and the Midnight Express.
@@grunt-sw8si That's when Animal said that he and Hawk got along well, too. After they left for WWF is when things started to get really ugly for Hawk as you can tell from stuff like showing up to a big match drunk.
RVD is overrated. He was good but the ego doesn't match the talent.
Poor Animal, being reduced to "Johnny's Brother."
That was Johnny's shtick 99.9% of the time, this is legit the only time I've ever heard of Johnny being the point of reference
I was surprised undertaker sold finishers
I love rvd he's the man grew up watching him
RVD Hell Yeah!
I want to hear about RVD punking Taz
