As a kid, all I ever wanted for my birthday was to go see PORTLAND Wrestling. I remember watching Billy Jack vs. Ric Flair at the old sports arena. I was also there when Billy Jack and Curt Hennig fought Buddy Rose and the Dynamite Kid where Buddy became a good guy. I will never forget those days.

Hercules was managed by Bobby Heenan, and Billy Jack was caught on camera pulling out a razorblade out of his wrist tape while chasing Boby around the ring. Then he and Ken Patera teamed up and had a fued with Demolition. They even made an action figure of him. It also says he filed a lawsuit in 2014 against WWE for "egregious mistreatment of its wrestlers for its own benefit, as well as its concealment and denial of medical research and evidence concerning traumatic brain injuries suffered by WWE wrestlers." All of that information was found in less than five minutes. Trust me when I tell you that Google is your friend and makes you smarter.

These dudes were special. A joy to watch in the Golden Age of Wrestling. My all-time favorite tag team is The Road Warriors. I was Hawk and my best friend was Animal. Crazy memories and tons of fun. For those of us that remember, Billy Jack Haynes was one of the toughest dudes in wrestling but sadly was booked improperly with WWF. Billy Jack was a serious butt kicker in previous wrestling organizations.
This is why the Road Warriors were such a legendary team. Even when they were on a sitcom that exposed some of wrestling as "work", they made people believe how tough they could be. The straight faced way they cut a promo in one episode where they said they wore the spiked shoulder gear because "They make us look soft.. and cuddly!" actually made people want to watch that show!
