So cool. My grandmother was named after Constance Talmadge and I am named after my grandmother.

I love Constance Talmadge’s comedies! Her sister Natalie plays “Dorcas” in this one, and Natalie was Buster Keaton’s first wife, and the mother of his sons!

Of course Connie is an utter charmer. Fun to see the tinting cues-- though not the tinting. For more natural movement, adjust speed to .75. This goes for virtually every silent film you'll encounter; luckily TH-cam has that option. The picture should then run about an hour and a quarter.

Notice those 3-frame flashes that say things like "Blue / --- / Pink"? Those are color tinting instructions. Each print was supposed to be cut apart, tinted, and then reassembled with those markings cut out. The best gag in the picture has our heroine blushing, turning pale, and so on, by means of chemical tinting of the print! Probably the biggest laugh ever caused by tinting, if not the only one.

That's really interesting and odd. I don't think I've ever seen a print that visibly included the tinting instructions. I wonder how they came to remain in this copy. The print must never have been in theatrical circulation. The quality is good.

The suit Constance is wearing at the meeting of her 1st potential mate, is so pretty and quite modern in its lines.
I'd love to know the color and fabric. I'm visualizing blue silk..with white blouse. Constance looks far prettier when animated rather than in her still photographs.

Wow! Is that Ned Sparks at the beginning of the film as the minister sent to talk with “Babs” played by Constance Talmadge??
