I wonder if it would fare better with a ProCore battery with 5.5 Ah or larger - demanding tools like circular saws, concrete drills (rotary hammers) and angle grinders usually performs better with those batteries. Oh, and just get the 8 Ah, as it's the same weight and size as the 5.5 Ah battery.
I’m left handed and use a 12ah battery,you can’t turn the dust exit pipe so it goes in your face.,the brushless version is good and you can buy a bosch rafter hook separate
Higher current battery might help but it might be something to do with anti kickback protection system if it senses it's binding up
Needs a Pro Core 8Ah battery to get the best out of the saw, I've just bought a couple of the new 8Ah Pro Core + battery, brilliant in the saw.

Most definitely it would
Bosch recommends using a ProCORE ≥ 5.5Ah to reach maximum power.
@stuartandrews4344 Correct!
I use procore 8.0 with that saw and it seems really good for Bosch but, Makita tools are what I would recommend.

Rafter hook is available but it is an extra.
True rafter hook is missing on the saw in the scope of supply. It is optional unfortunately.
This Circular saw requires a 5,5 ah or higher procore battery to work optimally
You just need a ProCore 8 battery. That will handle it fine 😁
The stock blade on this one kind of stinks too. I’ve noticed a big improvement when I swapped over to a Makita blade
Using Freud blades with mine.
You can buy a rafter hook attachment and a rip fence kit for about 20 bucks from Bosch in the US
