Great video Erin! I appreciate you taking the time to explain how you were feeling at the time, what emotions you felt, the support you had, and the financial runway. I didn’t even consider how the rest of the team at work would be impacted, I was considering it from a personal perspective. It was interesting to see that you didn’t need that much of a mindset shift around money when you decided to quit and go in a different direction. The 5-6 month time it took to leave and plan also ensured that it wasn’t just an emotional decision. What I found a bit interesting is that you didn’t stay a few more months to get that bonus or LTI for an additional 1 year runway. I would of found it hard to resist that. Severance I understand and it’s not easy or straightforward as well. Thank you for being transparent and walking through what the process was for you. These are good components for your subscribers to consider before they embark on a similar journey.

Thank you so much for the commentary, it’s helpful. Yes, the 2 months cost me about a $100k but it would have been at the sacrifice of focusing on the last two months of my son’s 8th grade year. It definitely felt like being between a rock and a hard place but I figured I could always figure out how to make money. Time I just can’t get back.
