I used to work with bamboo a lot. The freshly cut "skin" is razor sharp. We used to cut eel with ease by it. Something that even a sharp metal knife somtimes strugle with
well you basically cant preheat it too far, if theres food in the pan than its probably fine (230C/450F in the inside of a pot/pan is pretty hot and would probably be impossible if theres food in the vessel, without burning the food into a brick). cookware in history were usually also copper-tin and preheating it or firing it empty would destroy it
There's a way around that. Amazon sells induction burner gadgets that look like a round metal spatula that you set on the induction burner, then you can use a copper pan or any other pan with it. 🍳

Wow, are those Jade Handles !? On Top of that It has engraving too !? These tv industry folks must have pressed him hard with time constraints and a lack of respect for his craft , because the assembly displayed on camera *CLEARLY* was not his *”A-GAME”* when it comes to his artisanal vocation !!!
Can life just happen instead of like alot of stash introduction of items then in imagination to relax to cause being easily attacked? This is maybe old smthg to believe abt destruction then sg being into this life? Abt pao that uses hard plastic rectangle steamer? Anyone have a war partner issit normal life like this then they unspotted to keep experiencing from waiting?

The fact that there aren’t any nails or screws in the bamboo steamer is amazing
So fascinating! No glue, just precision and expertise! I love it!
You know its a good product when the craftsman is wearing safety sandals. 😊
That steamer is a LOT bigger than the picture makes it out to be lol.
2 different ones. Caught me off guard, too.
That one fits two dogs. the one in the thumbnail is meant for one dog
@@1blueorange You're supposed to cook the dog in the pot and use the steam to make the vegetables in this.
@@asahearts1oh man, that made me laugh out loud 😂
Wow, this is the first time I've see a HTM that wasn't in a mass production factory 😳
That guy is probably 105 years old, still making those baskets today. ❤
My favorite show from the science channel!
I used to watch this late at night with my grandma. RIP grandma debbie 😞😞 I'll always miss you
@@ramonlujan2377 my dad and I used to watch this, I wish he was still here.
drink when he says craftsman
That copper pot must cost way more than the cheap knockoffs made in factories.
Wow, that's amazing 👏🏻
Amazing
It looks like the ones from the infomercials from the 80's
Tin stops raw copper from leaching into food but since tin melts at 450F, what is stopping the tin from leaching into your food??

Here i am in the US seeing my neighbor burn thousands of bamboo every spring and this guy lives where its more prevalent, but has to buy it. Crazy
Too bad we can’t use copper pans with the new convection stoves, since they aren’t magnetic

Very cool.
Narrator has a John Goodman vibe

The bamboo steamer is mainly used in Cantonese cuisine
No, it's widely used in Japan, Korea and many other countries. You clearly never have traveled the world kid
No they are correct, its mostly used by the cantonese, as korean and japanese cuisines dont rely on bamboo steamers as much@@Daveeeeeeyhowyoudoing
Nope man, southeast asian too. Maybe because the food isnt as known
That's awesome
Love the show and I like the narrator’s voice but his northeastern accent comes out sometimes with certain words. 😜
Ok but why does the craftsman have a pet squirrel? Is it an emotional support squirrel?
Why is copper pans in the BASKET video??
Why do you always have a question. Is comprehension hard for you?
No.@@terejosh13
That one kid at back of the class with his desk:
That's an awfully hot copper pot
Did I just watch a dude work for a whole day?
Uyyy
Las cicatrices que tiene en los brazos y manos muestran lo doloroso que ha sido esa técnica artesanal...y aun así sigue sin protección...
