As a trucker from the US I’m so fascinated with European trucking. Love how the little yellow clearance lights on the back of the trailer are off of it instead of on the trailer like ours.
The hardest part of truck driving is dealing with dispatch on pick up or delivery and the condition of weather especially if there is snow and ice or getting directions to the receiver of the loads.
Tipper work is definitely the easiest work a lorry driver will ever do. I’m lucky to drive a new Scania too. Completely agree that Scania are the best and most comfortable to drive out of all the lorries on the road. 👍
Yep try spending 14 hours in a class 2 Iveco ....no back adjustment to the seat you are in the same position ! Just closer to the pedals is all you can do with the seat .
9:23 is crazy dude. The fact that you actually made the truck fit in is crazy good work! Keep up the good and amazing work, man! (Btw, you earned yourself a new sub)

Truck drivers spend all day keeping a schedule... I'm shocked that Scania didn't add a big obvious clock to the dashboard. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
The easiest job is the one you know so well that you don't need to think about it. My job is described as one of the most stressful, it does not cause me stress, cos I know it so well, I don't need to think about it.
Great video mate. Just a quick question. How long does it usually take to get unloaded? Is there an average time or does it vary quite a bit depending on the load? And while you’re unloading, what do you do with the taco? Do you set it to ‘other work’ or leave it the way it is?
Cheers mate unloading time depends on how busy they are when you turn up to the drop or what company you’re delivering to anywhere from 45min to 2hrs it all depends if you’re getting unloaded and just waiting around you put the tacho on break because you’re not working, if you have to unload the truck yourself I take a break before or after unloading and not whilst on bay unloading but it’s up to you personally as it’s your driving license.
@@kaytruedo most trucks have digital dashboards cause I cannot drive with them they give me migraines all the time which won’t be safe for me to drive. Even my car I drive it is a 2008 volks polo because it doesn’t have a digital dashboard.
@13:26 You say driving is easy? - How long does it take to get used to reversing the trailer into bays? I've been looking into getting my HGV licence, but the trailer reverse scares the s#*t outta me, honestly. The thought is holding me back.
@@stacks9079 takes time, just need to be patient and take it slowly, if you go for a first job I would suggest rdc work as yards are usually pretty big and gives you more time to practice, you don’t want bulk tippers, low loaders or walking floors. All of these need a certain amount of experience as the places you go to are sometimes small and getting to them is a challenge. Like today for me I’ve had to drive through a small village, then blindside myself round a gate and onto a raised weighbridge. Get practicing and try and once you have the basics, try and learn how to blindside and how to almost jackknife the trailer and do 180 degree turns in it as this will come in handy trust me.

Hi mate, I've really enjoyed watching your videos great mate. Keep it up. I've got my class 2 nearly 2 years. Not done any work yet. Shity agencies and multidrop not good at all. Go hgv fitting if you're young. You'll get to drive trucks and use the tools. I'm an old tech and I'm going back to driving now to save my body any more injury. As a tech with a licence you will get more money in most places. Only thing is you might get the driving bug. Can't lose either way really.
