Quick question, do you have to stick to the one hour layover or can you get off at Roaring Camp, explore the state park, and then board a later train back down?
I was looking at the Roaring Camp website the other day; From what I could tell, you could absolutely take the early train in and the late train out. Still might want to call or email them to be sure before trying it, though.
Excellent production and looks like a very fun & scenic ride! Only downside are the riders being forced to wear masks outside! Sad the government forced them, and saddened they knuckled under. Thanks again for the fine video!
One od the coolest local railroads with some amazing history. Thanks for sharing!
Great video Ian! I love that locomotive
I want to ride this train. Love those old wig-wags with the mechanical bell. Glad they still keep them working and can even find parts for them.
Nice catches
Very nice video of the rail experience.
Im pretty sure the locomotive was built in the 1970s, the original form, which was an EMD F7, could be built in 1951. Anyways, nice video!
the locomotive was rebuilt in the 70s by Santa Fe from a cowl unit to a road switcher, but this specific locomotive had been built in the 50s as a F7
Nice Video!
I like the video and thats a fun train ride and i know people that work there
Nice
Is there a stop at the old historical Brookdale Lodge?
No. No tracks near there.

What's the issue with masks? Many people still wear them, even today. Compromised immune systems, allergies, asthma. Have to protect yourself.
