Wow that was awesome! Eight years ago...man I wished I was involved with tasty back then. Only found them a month ago and spend at least 3 hrs a day on average soaking up all the info. Thanks guys. My first trade was a high probability winner and plan okeeping my foot on the gas with this one.

I visited downtown Chicago 3 years ago but I didn't trade at that time otherwise I would have done anything to meet Tom and Tony.
What is his full name and books. I'm trying to learn as much as possible in these techniques and strategies so I can apply ASAP. Starting from scratch so any help for education is appreciated. Huge tasty fan.

Hey is there an algorithm you guys have come up with that states: 45 dte resale at day 21.. then repeat. I get that but what is the typical return on something like that in a year at a specific delta? I’m having a hard time seeing the end. Just what is right in front of me.

Haven't watched Tom and Tony for a while.Definitely since the IG deal which i remember.They're such great personalities and Tom's definitely a great businessman.Not sure about Tony just cuz i know Tom sold 2 businesses at least.I can guess his worst trade though and it wasn't Gamestop or anything.He had the founder of Ethereum in the studio years ago, when they did Bootstrapping, and i'm not sure if he was ever offered a deal there as i know he does some private VC investing but if he was.... Great to find your individual investing style which suits and works for you.I feel like i might have finally found mine.

Okay, all fine and well, but the key question is: How many people have access to enough expendable capital to lose "a lot of money" and keep going till they eventually make it? That's the catch, there is a steep learning curve, huge expenditure of focused time, and the risk of potential financial disaster at stake before a formerly uninitiated individual could eventually reinvent him-/herself into a successful trader.

tabuma f How is your remark even relevant to my observations?! First of all, I've been an active trader for the past 30 years, I don't need a paper account. Secondly, anyone worth his salt knows that paper account trading is nothing like trading with real money at risk; two completely different can of worms. Thirdly, how is paper trading going to solve the average Joe's lack of access to large sums of money required for a steep learning curve?

The beauty is that tastey trade having all of this information out there for us to learn cuts into that learning curve substantially. Paper trade a couple of months to understand snd get proof of concept then start out running. With this method you shouldnt have to lose ALOT of money if you apply it properly.

tony batistaaaaaaaaaa - I think I am done with iron condors, i hate that there is a defined period, either win or lose come expiry date, but when you own stock and write covered calls, come expiry date, your investment still exists, it's not all or nothing
Shihab's Blog try diagonal spreads then. You can roll your short option a few times if you have to.

40,000 hours in 7 years? That's a bit more than 15 hours a day, 365 days a year. Hard to believe...
Umm No Not when your honing your craft... I spend 10-15 hours a day on weekends planning my trades for the following week.. I would say hes not far off on that number. Even if it was 30k hours the more time you spend in your craft the better you become.
If he's got all the other things going on in life, like we all do, 15 hours a day for 7 years devoted to one thing is nigh impossible. Plus. People tend to overstate, it's a subconscious thing. We all do it. And why do you need to plan 15 hours a day on weekends to plan trades for the coming week? Seems a bit overkill. Opportunities that you can't plan for will arrive. Hey, I'm small time, I only make 5~10 trades a day (still probably more than most ppl out there aside from tastytraders) using the tt trade mechanics and that's it. No thinking, no guessing; here's the set up, here's the POP, P50, theta, DTE, IVR, get in, a glance every day let's me know what adjustments, if any, I need to make, and get out. Simple. You must be doing something very different than I am. Cheers
3000+ Optionable stocks, 30+ ways to trade, unless your keeping your list small and your only trading a few ways.. Ok i could see what you mean. To each their own.. I like finding options that not many are talking about and Boom. 200 here 300 there..bank account is moving in a positive direction nice and fast. i spent about 6 hours sunday planning trades for today.. I placed 30 butterflies and 4 IC's and now I am setting up for tomorrow's earning calls.. There are 20 companies that have earnings AFTER market and 17 BEFORE the market the following day.. So i have 37 Companies that i will probably put trades on tomorrow,.. so Im planning to see what strategy i want to use on each TONIGHT.. so tomorrow i can place them. i spend 8 hours listening to tasty trade (yes i listen to the whole show), 4-6 hours a night Researching different trades for different stocks..so the next day i can trade. And i still have a full time job and a personal life..
You are better than the ones who watch and do nothing.. However i think if you can do 5 then why not 50.. Dont give me the no capital bs, plenty of trades to put on with 1-2 dollar debits. if you do 50 of them it only costs 50-100 dollars of your capital. you just have to STRETCH yourself. Cheers. :)
Well, them there's A LOT of trades! You are certainly getting more out of the law of averages than I am! Still, I could do 50 trades, but I'm not that much into defined risk trades, so actually 50 on the likes of NFLX, CMG, AMZN, yaddah, yaddah, would be a stoooopid thing to do on my part - capital allocation and all. I dont do Defined risk on every trade.. each trade has a unique strategy based on whats going on with the underlying. However yesterday's picks were not moving much.. Today it seems they are way more active.. I closed a few positions Cuda I closed which was just a put.. I closed it today for a 500 winner.. 2 day hold. However i do alot of butterflies because they are cheap.. and they increase my odds.. and take no more time from me if I cant pick a directional. Again 30+ ways to trade options in an underlying. You may not like defined risks all that much.. but by using defined risk i can double or triple my number of occurrences as well as Non defined risk trades.. If you think about it EVERYTHING you do is a defined risk trade.. You need to DEFINE the risk and see whether its worth it. Then if its not you can add more positions or take the off until your happy with that trade.. Your still defining the risk.. its just Defined risk against your account directly instead of to itself. depends on how much you have to move... At 25% per month, i would say that you aren't trading a very large position.

You do realize Sosnoff sold thinkorswim for several hundreds of millions USD, right?
25% annualized returns over a long period of time would be an extreme outlier (we're talking early Buffett level returns).

25% consistently will make you rich very quickly. Plenty of people they have on make more than that, but 25% is still great

LOL no.. its not a total waste of time.. Each strategy is used for different type of market /underlying. there is no 1 size fits all trade. So he probably used EVERY strategy available to an options trader.
Yes I agree this video is a complete waste of time. Not a single strategy was discussed except for his selling naked options.
Lol you guys must not be listening to the same interview i am.. He traded small, He managed winners, and traded often (7000) trades. He uses vix as an aggressive indicator. Strategy does not matter when you are mechanical with your trades. Why are guys worried about strategy? There are only 3 ways a market can go up down or sideways. There are over 30 different ways to trade. if you use EVERY strategy using them in the proper environments and you manage your winners you can make 25 percent.
You have to put in the time. There is no shortcut to this. Learn from their Educational material - it free!
