I absolutely love the fact of Tears for Fears respect of the feminine and the strength of the feminine. They truly understand the patriarchal chains...
As a younger musician/producer of this day and age, I got introduced to Tears for Fears pretty late...Hearing some of thier stuff, I realized how INSANELY ahead of thier time thier sound is. Today we hear a lot of music being inspired by the 80s New Wave Era (Retrowave, Pop Wave) and it's so fascinating to hear thier new music and see how it doesn't feel out of place in any way. Truly timeless stuff.. Fathers of a generation of music, coming back to show us kids how its done!!
There is another way to look at it. Tears For fears were not ahead of their time, but rather they were part of a very dynamic and innovative time in popular music that ran from about 1965 to the mid 1990s. Once musicians had explored 100 things they could do, it becomes so much harder to invent "thing 101." The problem now is that musicians have so little reward for their work unless they are a known artist with an established fan base. Even the greatest bands of the past would have a very hard time establishing themselves now under the present economic circumstances. Millennial and Gen Z musicians aren't necessarily inferior to the older bands in their skills (mostly), but the newer bands can't make a living and build a proper following, grow as artists and make a name for themselves.
@YMIR I understand exactly what you mean. My wife was surprised I bought their music. It was then I discovered I really had an ear for good production and writing. By the time “Going to California” came out I was definitely a fan. That captured concert performance with some of the best backing musicians in the business and of course Oleta Adams was masterful. It’s ironic that they bonded over a psychological therapy. As Roland found his voice and ultimately his muse and confidence- that in IMHO is what broke them up. I think ultimately that initial friendship brought them back together. Lucky for us!
One of the things I have always loved about Tear for Fears is that the music is so timeless. This could have come out in the 80's or 90's yet sounds so contemporary.
@@ichikoaobaenjoyer most music that's released sounds very much of the era it's part of. The Motown sound, 80's synth pop, or 70's soft rock. Even take a band or artist that has survived the years, and you can tell what era a song was released (compare 80's Springsteen to his latest).
Roland and Curt are just what the world needs right now and this entire new album “The Tipping Point” does NOT disappoint! Great work gentleman. Legends who are timeless.

When they go on tour their new songs will be the ones the fans want to hear. How many bands can impress the audience in such a way? The album is fantastic.
Saw them on 5/27/22 here in Phoenix AZ.....AMAZING! They played so many of the songs on the new album and the audience went just as wild as when they played their older 80s songs.

What a fantastic band! Rare talent! And to say that the "Great" Beatles started all this marvel and this new music that Tears for Fears knew how to continue this wonder! Love and peace to all!
This is the reason why this dynamic duo music is always a hit. The way they rearrange music and turn into a hit is a huge accomplishment. I cannot say in words the new album tipping point is really amazing!!! I've a fan since their early work back in 1983 during my teenage years!! Hits like the way you are, pale shelter, mad world, start of the breakdown etc. They were really ahead of their time. Fears for Fears rules!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Tears for Fears. This is University of Wisconsin -Madison in the '80s, MTV, first loves, partying with my sisters from another mother from Santiago Chile and Gary Indiana...grad school, feeling like we could change the world. Their music just resonates so deep for me. As soon as hubby heard that they had a new album coming out he pre-ordered for Valentine's day. Thanks Curt and Roland for the new music. "Break the Man" is my favorite 💕💖!

Amazing track! Powerful video. Got chills when all the people climbed on to their solo pedestals. Speaks so much about what is broken and wrong in our world today. Individuals consuming media on our smartphones, and the death of respectful discourse. Breeding extremism and narcissism. P.S. I’m pretty sure I’m hearing some vintage Roland D-50 patches 👍🏼

This was never what I thought it was
This is not who we are
This is where someone was meant to say
Enough is enough
This is nothing like they said it would be
This is all gone too far
When everything is running out
This is love
She's the fire and the fallout
She reminds you of the things we never talk about
She's the lover with the best-laid plan
To break the man
She's a sinner in a side show
She feels at home when there's nowhere left to go
She's the devil, you understand
Break the man
No more tearing the bandages off
No more living a lie
No more chewing the scenery
No more rain, no more rain
No more wondering what happens now
No more holding your feet to the fire
When everything is running down
No more pain
She's the fire and the fallout
She reminds you of the things we never talk about
She's the lover with the best-laid plan
To break the man
She's the trouble in the headline
She's the mother who turns back father time
She's the devil, you understand
Break the man
No more wondering what happens now
No more holding your feet to the fire
When everything is running down
This is love
She's the fire and the fallout
She reminds you of the things we never talk about

@@MalcaratMartinez yes, of course in deed. It’s like breathing after swimming beneath the water. Today’s music is so empty and tasteless. Where did the seriousness of music end up¿ greetings from Mexico City.
Love Tears For Fears ^^
Tears For Fears will never get old! ♥♥♥
Beautiful amazing I've loved tears for fears since, shout. And I love them there music has a beautiful truth and will always hold close to my heart... 🤗💛🤗
I love you 💜🦁☯️☀️
🤗I love you two times more🌳💖🌍🌘🌕🌒
@@gaiaceveles1582 you got me 🙌🏼🤗🥰🦁☯️☀️💜
What a fantastic band! Rare talent! And to say that the "Great" Beatles started all this marvel and this new music that Tears for Fears knew how to continue this wonder! Love and peace to all!
I wish this video showed people falling hitting bottom then climbing back to the top to jump again, like the machine we live
I think that's implied by the beginning.
Verdade.
I never get tired of Tears For Fears! One of the best bands that came out of the 1980s 💕
Great Song!!! Great Video!!! Tears For Fear always rocks!!!!!!! Congrats from Brazil!!!
0:16 as soon as you hear this chord you know it is Tears for Fears for sure.
I love Tears for Fears and this song is amazing.
ONE OFTHE BEST BANDS EVER ON EARTH FOR ANY AND ALL TIME
LOVE LOVE LOVE Tears for Fears.
This song is absolutely amazing!! Everything they do takes you on a journey. I'm soooo glad they are back together and creating that magical sound again. Some things are just meant to be!!!!
I'm obsessed with this band since the 80s, what a beautiful album. Thank you thank you thank you.
I love this song and the video it’s so perfect for these times Tears for Fears never Disappoints after 18 years this new album is incredible
saw them in concert 2 years ago in Houston fantastic show!
They just keep getting better and better. Each album is more brilliant than their previous one.
As a teen who loves TFF, I'm just glad that I've witnessed they released a new album. I'm so glad that tears for fears is still here especially that many wonderful bands from the 70s-80s are starting to retire and going to the great beyond.
I really love this new album so far… great sound!
Love the new music from Tears for Fears the Tipping Point my son got me hooked on Tears for Fears many years ago and I love their music thank you Roland thank you Kurt for the beautiful songs from back in the day and present

This IS the music video.
@@envy99976 I'm aware of that, I commented this at the preview of it. I was commenting that I'm exited for the video to come out to the public.
Ok so Mother Nature at the end right?…
@@jeffreylawrence6928 yeah I think it’s supposed to be, unless it’s Rolands previous wife. But most likely Mother Nature yea.
Definitely worth the watch of their documentary.

Love Tears For Fears ^^
Tears For Fears will never get old! ♥♥♥
This music video gave me the fractal vibes 🤯
Thats amazing that they have a song Break the Man and Garbage have song Breaking the Girl, and they're touring together!
GENIALES .....Gran mensaje.....Grande Orzabal y Smith....Thanks.....Saving the World.
Curt & Roland... I cannot express the gratitude i feel for you both for having made my life a better experience. Being a source of happiness, inspiration, support and comfort.
You two are eternal and occupy a big and important part in the history of music, culture and, specially, many lives all over Earth.
Simply... thank you.
