165 gr Speer spbt is my go too in 300 Win mag with imr4831 if you can find it. I like that bullet in a 30-06 too. 150gr in my 308. I am not far from the Alabama/Georgia. Our range is pretty protected from the wind but mirage is a pain. Those 300 Win mag along with the other big mags without a brake can be brutal.. my nose has felt it a few times with a 300 Wby.. lol Just looked up the truglo 6x24. I would like it if it was moa instead of mil for precision. They got a deal bogo free. I like Speer bullets for the economics. Got a bunch of the 85 grainers for my 243 and R22. I like that chronograh you have. Thanks for the video.

I bought multiple boxes of the Speer 190 impact to test in my 300WSM. I have 2 Tikka 300WMs, well used to anyway. They were identical LH stainless Lite T3x. Both did the exact same thing with factory Norma ammo - 1/2" or less 3 shot groups with both 180 Bondstrike and 150 Whitetail. I bought a Proof pre-fit Tikka carbon fiber barrel chambered in 7PRC and converted one of the 300WMs to that. It's doing very well with factory Federal 175 ELD-X ammo, also 1/2" groups. I put a Stocky's Stock on it and a lighter trigger spring and a limbsaver recoil pad. Due to the light weight, it's my favorite 7PRC so far but not the most accurate
You're really going to love the Speer 190gr bullet, my 300 Win Mag loved them I was expecting high 2800fps to low 2900fps on ladder test but right off the bat it was mid 2900fps my sweet spot ended @ 3012fps -3026fps so I picked that power load sighted in gun with them and took it hunting last yr. I played with Hornady Bullets 180gr interlock and 212gr ELD-X and settled on that 190gr Speer out of all Bullet workup's that bullet was the easiest. Question with that seating die: Do you think you could just use Hornady micrometer seating stim screwed on top they have a new one out this year that looks better than the old one, easier to read. I have Hornady dies without the micrometer and just bought 1 micrometer that I screw on whatever rifles die set. I am using. Give us a follow-up on the choice you decided on for that 300 Win Mag . I really loved hunting with my dad's 300 BDL and love my 300 Win Mag. I have smaller rifles in 7mm 7mm-08 and 280 Remington, and I have a larger rifle 338 Win Mag, but there is something to a 300.
SO, How did scope do & do ya like it? BTW. Never got responce from THREE EMAILS to Tru-GLO about the zero stop on these scopes. Ganna try ta remember ta call them.

Decided that Im gonna move the Tru-GLO (from 6mm Rem) to the ARC. Then put the Arken on the 6MM.

I have had good luck with impact bullets with 172 over h414 in 30-06 and 190 over RL 22 in 300 win mag
H4350 did not perform as well.

The scope did great, no issues whatsoever…I’ll leave it on there to see how it holds up over time.
