I'm literally the Mexican girl married to the Sudanese man. I love being in an interracial relationship I love his family and culture. Learning Arabic has not been easy though ❤️😭
Salaam Sister. My husband and I are an interracial couple as well. I am a white american and my husband is Pakistani. We also met online while I was in America and he was in London. I converted after studying Islam for a year after meeting him. We have known each other for 9 years, been married for 8 years. We are so very happy together MashAllah. We now live in London.
See this is what marriage is about, finding that one person who gets you, who can laugh with you and just be genuine. I know a lot of people who've gotten married and they feel as if they aren't connected to their partner but you can tell with Manal & Aamir everything is genuine and flows so well (Masha'Allah and may it stay this way). Insha'Allah all of us ladies watching this will be blessed with a husband like that. I love goofying around so that's one thing i'm scared of when it comes to marriage, in case the guy I end up marrying isn't the same or is too serious. Eeeek.
Kj. Exactly! I also think it's so important. I've met guys through my parents and I didn't end up liking them for the very reason that they were too uptight and serious. I wanna marry someone because I enjoy their company not because of their resume
Is nobody else going to talk about how Aamir doesn't break eye contact with the camera when Manal is talking? I felt like he was looking through my soul! Lmao. I absolutely LOVE this video, it's so helpful for those going through similar situations and it's so so so heartwarming seeing your relationship in this light. You guys are the definition of marrying your best friend. Your personalities and energies mesh so well together mA ❤️ may Allah keep you like this 5evaaaa
Mashallah , i like how you were honest about the challenging about marriage and specially the in-laws. You should make a "language challenge video: Urdu & Harari(geishina)" and cooking Pakistani and Ethiopian food videos!! Manal, how old are you?
My fiancé and I are from different backgrounds as well. He is from Kenya and I'm American with an Irish dad and African American mom. His parents are very happy but my family is not. We are both Muslim. Mashallah You two are beautiful and you remind me of my relationship 😁 oan: my family is not Muslim but his family is.
You are legit my favorite person ever. Watching your videos makes me so happy! And I'm so happy that you have found someone you truly love. MashaAllah. :)
THANK YOU so much for sharing... it's crazy how diverse and inclusive the world is becoming. I hope God blesses both of you and you are both filled with happiness and wisdom.
So amazing how your main goal was to grow spiritually with him because I think that's what people forget all the time. Mashallah wallah such a lovely lovely couple May Allah guard you two from all the nazr in the world and bless you ❤️
YES! Do a tutorial on this gorgeous look. Also, maybe you can do a shorter part 2 where you talk about interfaith marriages? Is it common for a Muslim and Christian to marry?
Um no? I'm Gurage and EVERYONE has struggled. Stop making Oromos look like the only victims, when this has happened to ALL of us as ETHIOPIANS. We shouldn't be divided by ethnic groups but rather UNITE as Ethiopians.
Dana Alem You sound like an All lives matter-er. Oromos have been historically oppressed and it's not a problem to say this, it's best to listen and address this. It's hard to unite with a community/country you feel ostracized from.
aw I loved this, so informative especially for the younger generations who are approaching marriage age. I didn't even realize I watched the whole video. Thanks so much! ps- you guys are for sure #goals.
They're perfect for one another! ❤ Can someone explain to me how Islam marriage works? She said she was married two years in 'Islam marriage' before actually married? How does that work? Like traditional Christians, other religious cultures, a woman is not suppose to have intercourse until she marries her husband. Does that go with Islam marriage? I'm genuinely curious! I'd love to know marriage cultures of different backgrounds!
Basically what she meant is she had the 'nikaah' done which is the main ceremony where the couple are officially married and 'halaal' for each other meaning they can actually have an intercourse and what not. Usually people do it so they can stay halaal whilst they wait for the big celebration which is just the wedding party. So for two years they were officially married but didn't have the wedding done technically they were engaged but in Islam its married I hope that answered your question 😊😊
In Islam you have to say out that you take the other person as your wife or husband and you need 3 other persons as witness from there on you are officialy married in Islam and halal for each other. Anything else like the wedding party are traditional things and not very relevant.
She had her islamic marriage contract done 2 years before having the actual wedding ceremony. The islamic marriage makes the relationship legitimate as husband and wife. They might have waited the 2 years to have their wedding so that they could save money etc
KatKost it's basically like getting married at church without going to the registry office. ... they had the religious wedding but not the paperwork stuff
You are just lucky lol, I've seen one interracial couple, she's arab he's pakistani, his mother is sooooo strict and never happy with her daughter in law, so i think depends how lucky you are really.
How old are you both? if you dont mind.I'd been muslim for a while now and people tell me that as a revert to Islam its more difficult to be married....How do you think your families would react if you would say is it ok to marry a revert?
please do more couple vids, or even advice videos!! maybe open up an email account so people can send in questions so you can answer them, i'd really enjoy those..
Please everyone, dont think being friends with the opposite gender you are not married to or related to (within the bounds of Islam) is aloud. It's not and they ended getting married, so that speaks for itself. Please have wisdom Inshaa Allah.

I would love to know your opinion on the situation in Ethiopia at the moment. Our people have struggled and have been oppressed for way too long. 💚💛❤
lol
Dana Alem it's mainly oromos struggling and she's not oromo and its only mainly oromos speaking out against the oppression
Um no? I'm Gurage and EVERYONE has struggled. Stop making Oromos look like the only victims, when this has happened to ALL of us as ETHIOPIANS. We shouldn't be divided by ethnic groups but rather UNITE as Ethiopians.
