The tough puff Kirby is back for a 4-player* platforming adventure. Copy enemies’ abilities and use their power to attack with a sword, wield a whip, and float with a parasol. You can also laser blast with the new Mecha Copy Ability that makes a series debut! The extra muscle will be handy in finding missing pieces for Magolor’s ship, which crash landed on Planet Popstar.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe arrives on 2/24/23.

Hi Antdude! Also, yeah, this is the third one this year! I mean I love Kirby, but jeez.
- The year starts off with the first fully 3D platformer game in the series
- K64 finally gets (official) recognition as it is put on Nintendo Switch online
- We get a whole concert and interactive website structured like it's own mini game to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series
- Right Back at Ya gets a physical Blu-Ray release
- The Kirby Time story book series is given a worldwide translation
- We get a new eShop party game
And now this. 2022 is the year of Kirby and you *cannot* convince me otherwise.
And it just keeps on going. A Game Award _and_ a Tetris 99 event? HAL's been cooking like crazy this year.
But isnt Kirby 64 Already one of the most liked Kirby Games Anyways!
I defintly wouldnt say its Underated everyone is saying almost always how its one of the Best!

I was unaware of the anime's release on Blu Ray, but I'm so eager to get a copy! Any place I could get one for myself, or does it have to be released? I tired searching for it, but I only found the DVD collections that were out for years. I actually have the DVDs for the first nine episodes.
This is it. Tied with Super star Ultra, this is my favorite installment in the franchise. If forgotten land brought you into the series, I HIGHLY recommend this game for every reason possible. The gameplay, the length, the difficulty, the LOOOORE, the bosses, and the music all come together in what is possibly a top five game for me. Give it a shot!
Definitely my favorite game in the series for sure, and one of my all time favorite games EVER. Super hyped up for this.

My favorite detail is that this art style looks like that one cancelled Kirby game that had a pop-up book aesthetic. That game ended up influencing Return to Dreamland's development! This sort of detail is what makes me proud to be a Kirby fan.

Why does King Dedede now look like he's straight out of Club Penguin?

I like all king dedede designs. The new design reminds me of the DL3, wich I think is the point, and I really like it (also new DDD looks like club penguin lol)

Taking into account this game's plot, I guess you could say this was the CROWNING moment of the Direct for Kirby fans
This makes me so unbelievably overjoyed, Return to Dream Land was such a huge comeback for the Kirby Franchise back then, and this looks so goddamn good; really glad that HAL Laboratories is going all out for Kirby's 30th Anniversary!
If HAL Labs ever makes a Robobot 2.0, I will IMPLODE, Robobot is easily my favorite game ever

I consider Robobot to be the peak of 2D Kirby games specially because it goes full Gurren Lagann and I wouldn't have it any other way. If they remaster it, they'd better get the rights for Sorairo Days and blast it at full volume in the finale.

Had Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot been included, it would have been more worth paying full price. But I think they saved the two games for later "remakes".
We really have to give it too HAL labs, they’ve been spoiling us Kirby fans rotten. 2 games already released this year and now a port of a fan favorite? That’s amazing! They’re really giving us everything for the 30th anniversary and I couldn’t be more thankful

I may’ve not played the game myself, but I can confirmed this was the best Kirby game. I’ve watched Chuggaaconroy played it on his TRG channel as a kid and it was so enjoyable.

When they did the sizzle reel, I zoned out for a bit, but once I heard the warp star, I immediately snapped back to attention. The moment I realized what was about to be revealed, I screamed.
That warp star sound is iconic just behind the Super Mario power-up sound.

This was my introduction to Kirby, playing this game with my family, and that ending that made 7 year old me feel betrayal for the first time, I am so overhyped and am excited for this game
Kirby fans are eating incredibly good this year. I cannot believe we've been blessed by three games. Kirby's Return to Dream Land is a REALLY solid title that brought back/added a lot of features that have become staples in modern Kirby games. It also has an amazing soundtrack. Absolutely worth checking out if you've never played it before.
I never really played the original (only slightly as a rental). So I might consider picking this up.
Sonic and Kirby fans are in heaven right now.

I wasn't expecting them to make a remastered version of Return to Dreamland, but I'm seriously looking forward to it especially with all of the new features they're adding. It's like being able to replay my childhood game but with a new spark after all the years have passed.

Between Magolor's presence in the new subgame and the fact that his Dream Collection games seem to be included (based on his amusement park showing up on the boxart), I like that they're expanding his role in the game.
It's going to make the ending hurt so much more.
If it's any consolation, Magalor made the amusement after the incident, so maybe there's a slightly expanded ending.

Also, I hope they're going to expand on the lore in this remake. With all the games that happened since 2011 and all the lore that's been established, it would be nice to get some hints towards stuff like Void or Elfilis.

Man I miss goofy Wii Dedede more than I expected. Still, glad to get this gem on a popular system, hopefully Mecha isn’t shoehorned in too hard!
It reminds me a bit of how they added a new character to Super Mario U Deluxe that had a lot of benefits. A new powerup that is super strong and very friendly to newcomers to the genre/kirby games.

Seeing this game in this Direct really got to me. My brother died 11 days ago, and was a massive Kirby fan, and he would've been so happy to see this.😭 I'm looking forward to revisiting this.

It’s definetly gonna be a retelling, every clip in the trailer is something remastered from the original.
Deluxe lets us relive our fond memories of old Nintendo games that we cherish. And this is one of the Kirby games that I am happy to be remade.

I’ve always wanted to play Return to Dreamland on the Wii but I never got the chance. Which is why I was screaming in joy that this is becoming a reality. I seriously asked myself “Am I dreaming!?” I was so happy that a Deluxe version of Return to Dreamland is coming to the Switch. Now I finally get to experience the first of the Modern Kirby games! Man, HAL Laboratories are spoiling us with the Kirby content we’ve been getting! First Forgotten Land, then Dream Buffet, and now this! We truly live in the most spectacular times! Thank you so very much for this, Nintendo and HAL.

I still remember all those years ago when Kirby on the GameCube was cancelled, and just waiting and waiting for another traditional home console 2-D game to come out. Kirby's Epic Yarn made me think that we'll never get a traditional one on Wii, then shortly after, they showed this early the next year. Words couldn't describe my happiness that it was finally happening.
I'm pretty much feeling that same feeling again now. I seriously can't believe this is real.

literally I cannot put into words what I felt when I was looking for time stamps on the Nintendo direct video during lunch that Tuesday and seeing “Kirby’s return to dreamland remaster”
I nearly screamed in the middle of lunch! This was something I’ve been thinking about and hoping for for such a long time I just couldn’t believe it and then I click the Nintendo channel and I see that big beautiful thumbnail and omg I was FREAKING OUT I was banging tables and scream like OH MY GOD and I definitely got some weird looks

Since there seems to be several new sub-games, then how will the layout of the Lor Starcutter change? And what effect will this have on the amount of Energy Spheres that you collect in the main story? Now that I think of it, it would be interesting if collecting all the Energy Spheres in this version unlocked an alternate ending where you fight a secret boss and save Magolor from himself or something like that!

This game was such a huge part of my childhood so seeing this was absolutely incredible. Can’t wait to see Hal do this game justice again
They took the cel shading from the prototype, and brought it to the remake. I LOVE how HAL is reusing beta ideas now, and making them legit parts of the series!
The one Kirby game I regret not buying, and now I finally get the chance to experience it! Glad they kept Dedede's design from Forgotten Land!

This is by far my favorite Kirby game I’ve played. I highly recommend either preordering it or picking it up when it releases. You won’t regret it!
It's the best one for having 4-player co-op with your choice of character, the best Extra Mode, the interdimensional rifts, the best puzzles, and unlike Star Allies can run at 60 FPS.
Every game after was good but largely a copy-paste with a few different elements. Return to Dream Land extends the quality that stemmed from Super Star Ultra.
Kirby's return to dream land was one of the games that marked my life. I'm so glad that Nintendo remember this game and maked an deluxe version! I'm willing to put my hands in one of these and play like im 7 years again... Thank you Nintendo

Ok to all new kirby fans that wanna pick this up, heres some tips & tricks and stuff of this game.
1. Each playable charater from the pink puffball to meta knight obiously has health, when they get hit, it goes down a bit, but if it goes all the way down, i believe they'll be done for & a extra life will be used up, speaking of...
2. Extra Lives are basically a good thing because they get consumed after a death to get kirby back up & raring to go, you can either get em as is or collect a bunch of star collectibles, if the 1up counter is at zero & kirby dies, it will end in a game over, you can either continue or give up.
3. Dont trust magalor, hes a bit sus, because this is a remake of a wii game so obiously hes going to be the big bad, maybe after you collect the parts that fell off his ship.

Kirby's return to dreamland was the first kirby game I played so it holds a very special place in my heart. When this got revealed at the end of the direct I was speechless, I am so absolutely excited about this and I cannot wait to go and play through this whole game again with my brother. 💖💖

All the memories of playing rtdl just came flooding back to me, it was extremely fun and the music in the game was brilliant it really fit the vibe so glad the game is getting a remake so I can relive a bit of my childhood
This came out of NOWHERE and GOD DO I LOVE IT
It’s such a small thing, but remastering the library of sub games across the series is such a fun idea. Even though there’s no telling if they’re just picking and choosing, I’m holding out that they go above and beyond. I would love to play Air Grind and Checkerboard Chase again.

There've Been Kirby Remakes Since 2003 With Nightmare in Dreamland
@@goldenyoshi924 Don't forget the original remake, Kirby Superstar's Spring Breeze mode is a remake of the original Kirby's Dreamland. Kirby's been doing remakes ever since the SNES, but it has been quite a while since the last remake (being Superstar Ultra for the DS, or Super Kirby Clash if you count that), so having a new remake is still exciting! I'm also on the train of hoping for an Amazing Mirror remake someday.

Despite them using dedede's forgotten land design, I am greatful they are remastering this game, since this was the game that me and bros would play (and their more extroverted than me), and this was the game that got me into the Kirby franchise

Wow, they didn’t just stop at making the game have a slightly more resolution. It has a nice new esthetic that fits the game, almost as if it’s a retelling of the original story and it’s shown in a drawn form. Also I’m happy the cutscenes look new too (:
Its so nice how much they respect their characters to release a full game on their anniversary! Hey I wonder Ubisoft did for Rayman on his 25th anniversary!
I remember having so many intriguing memories of this game. It will be so magical playing this game again!

I’d never expect a remake of Kirby Return to Dreamland but this is just amazing as someone who’s never played the original Return to Dreamland before.
I like how during the pandemic, Nintendo was like:

New games releasing through this 'tough' times are to encourage people who has been suffering cause of the pandemic, not to give up their lives and continue to play games normally and happily
