    This looks really good. Sadly, I have to agree that this could become more a prediction/documentary the ways things are going.

      You’re right…and a lot of America isn’t waking up to this reality. 8 months will pass, something will go down because everyone will forget about this & a lot of Americans will die as a result. This isn’t propaganda & this isn’t a conspiracy. This is reality & I suggest the people do their research on the soil they’re standing on. Stand together, don’t give up, & please don’t be confused when the time comes.

      It is predictive programming. The CIA most likely had a hand in it to nudge Americans. This is just evil in my opinion. I will watch it to study the mind of the psychopaths in charge to prepare for what is to come.

    Business always trumps culture war, so CA & TX teaming up makes more sense than you'd think. Maybe they get tired of paying every other state's welfare bills and decide to take the Administration back for their Corpo betters.

      California is drowning in homeless people and literally sucking up the water from nearby states to grow food in the bloody desert. Texas is such a shit show that they can't even weather the winter because they can't manage an electrical grid. Add in all the rich silicon valley tech workers moving to other states and f'ing up their cost of living, and I'd say the rest of the US is ready to spend a decade without the two largest troublemaking states in the union.

      If any administration, regardless of party affiliation, does something like declaring martial law, there will be red and blue states who say: "We're out."

      I'm from CA. No way does TX and CA team up. The future CW2, if the leaders of both sides are stupid and let it go to a shooting war, will be a war between Red Americans and Urban Blues for the most part.

    While civil war is a stretch, right now, the division is high. A couple of events to set people off, enough of a reaction to that could set things into a snowball. Things are slow until they're fast.... The idea terrifies me. Our enemies use this. They sew division among us through the internet, and the idiots that are supposed to be our leaders. A civil war would be absolutely devasting to us. We almost didn't recover from the first one.

      They are two states that have GDPs larger than some countries. If a tyrannical government caused 19 states to secede, two economic powerhouses like that might find some common ground.

    • @Sapwolf
      @Sapwolf 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Those two states would NEVER unite. NEVER! They might both leave the Union for different reasons possibly, but would never ally in the same nation. Pure silliness.@@HighStrangeDrifter

      @@Sapwolf You sure about that? Just because right now it's a red vs. blue thing (which is going to be the actual downfall of this country) doesn't mean they can't team up in a reality where a 3rd term President is in power and 19 states have already seceded from the union. Texas and California (along with New York and I guess Florida) are the biggest economies in the country. You don't think there are enough "normal" people who would fight against a tyrannical President in a 3rd term?

    The thing that I can't take serious is the graveyard of cars that instantly makes me think of The Walking Dead, now criticism for that show if they want to claim everyone abounded their cars or died in them due to the walkers moving through or rogue survivors, but between this and TWD the road should have blood all over it and bodies. Its easier for me to silence that criticism with TWD because of it being well, highly unrealistic. This, they want far more realism. So tbh the little girl's gonna have to go because reguardless of why Martial Law and rogue gangs, children would be easy targets. Also, Florida would just take everyone on and win considering how many Florida men they have and guns.

    • @johnaldridge83

      I have to disagree with you on this. A few years ago we were in a huge snowstorm, the longer the night went on the more cars you saw setting on the road, in the road. We took an on ramp and we were having to drive around parked cars.
      In something like this it's not about abandoning your car. It's about running out of gas and having to move anyway.
      The storm we were in it had only been snowing for a few hours and there were cars on the road exactly like this.
      It a situation like is in this movie, that scene is incredibly realistic.

    People are losing their shit over this trailer and I wish they wouldn't. As you mentioned, this is a Alex Garland film. To me that means there's going to be some sort of sci-fi twist that comes with the narrative. Social commentary is always present in his films. Like you - I love this filmmaker! I can't wait to see this.

    • @LordLOC
      @LordLOC 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Oh I'm sure there is going to be big social commentary involved - but I doubt very much there will be any sci-fi involved or a twist of any sort. From what it looks like to me, it looks like more of a "warning" film from Garland.

  • @Redneck2393

    Four things tell me this movie will suck. 1: The writers did absolutely zero research on American culture and politics because the idea of Texas and California joining forces is just ludicrous, they are the two most ideologically opposed states in the country and would sooner go to war against each other than team up. 2: The fact that Hollywood approved this movie means it will definitely have a strong pro-liberal slant to it like all other 2CW movies/shows do. 3: I don't think it's a coincidence that this movie will be released on an election year and on a year which Texas is expected to actually vote on secession which means it's most likely pro-democrat, anti-secession propaganda. 4: Kirsten Dunst.

      I suspect they will invent some different division than "red/blue". And completely try to dissociate each side from Republicans/Democrats, maybe give facts and policies from both parties to each of the sides in the movie.
      So the movie can really HIT home without creating more division. That's what would make it plausible to have California + Texas.

    • @Redneck2393
      @Redneck2393 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@rogeriopenna9014 That's true, and if 2CW really did happen, it wouldn't be only along party lines as there would be other points of division as well. The trailer did mention a three-term president and the fact he used airstrikes on civilians, so perhaps he's bad enough that both states decided to set aside their differences to fight a common enemy.
