I would go too. She's a funny and sweet woman, we would have a blast. I take my 82 year old grandmother out twice a month and we always have a great time.
And Hyde always cherished it, 'cause he's the one that knows the treasure there is in being loved by someone like Kitty. You know he's never missed any of her birthdays unlike the two other buffoons.

This shows that Eric is the perfect combination of Red and Kitty. He has this fun lovable side Kitty has and that little bit of cynicism and quick wit from his father. He is outgoing and intelligent but also a bit silly and an introvert. Very well written character.

Its important to spend time with your mom, especially if she loves you. Im 35 and my dad passed away a few years ago and I always try to make time for her, few weeks ago we had sushi together, last Saturday I took her to the poppy festival and we had lunch and maybe too many glasses of wine, it was fun and was happy that she enjoyed herself. She was never the same after my dad passed and I try my best to make sure she's happy and not alone. You only have 1 mom, and if she loves you, make it count.
This scene really resonates with me, I had just watched this and a few days later me and my mum went to the cinema and I felt the exact same feeling as Eric in this episode I don't know why I think I was only 13 14
Kitty was one of the best characters on that show. I was their ages in the late 70's, so I can relate to what they did. Kitty kind of reminds me of my own mother!
Hyde may be messing with Eric here, but he's also being sincere. He himself spent time with Kitty, even wore a jacket she bought him (even if he admitted hating it).
I loved this episode! I have 2 sons now and the oldest is a teen. We enjoy talking about many common interests: athletics, movies, even video games! I feel really blessed that we can still connect and goof around. Kitty and Eric’s relationship was always sweet to watch on screen. I am very glad to have a similar situation with my kids. It isn’t always perfect, but it is very special. It does take work but it’s very worth it. One of the best parts of that 70s Show it’s that it did not shy away from the reality of parents actually PARENTING their teens, regardless of the circumstances or crazy situations they got into. Red and Kitty did love their kids and worked very hard to provide for them.
I try to go to the movie theaters once a month with my mom and dad to watch a random movie (I am in my mid 20s) and I think it is fun hanging with them as an adult bc I get to see them as not only my parents but also like people.

I love this show much more than Friends and the other friends type sitcoms because it had soul, style, originality, good slapstick and characters were just absurd enough to be lovable and funny. Apart from all the episodes with Randy all of them were very enjoyable. I think it is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time with Seinfeld.
I really loved the ending when Kitty is realizing that the little boy she took shopping for underwear is gone, but now she's got a young man who she can joke with about nipples and wonder about what the hell mahjong is.
The family might have some disfunction but I love their dynamics. Especially how much Red really loves Kitty, she is one of the few who is allowed to express her frustrations to him and he actually cares. And I think Eric needed that time to get to know more about his mom than to limit her as just his mom yet welcome the fact that she too is a human being. Hyde might be sarcastic in nearly any conversation he has, but even he appreciates how much the Forman’s stepped in to help him. Kitty meanwhile is just the glue to the whole family, and it’s so sweet how much she gets to be looked after when she does a lot for everyone.
Why some teenage sons refuse to spend time with their mothers is not always out of hate, but out of fear. There are teenage boys out there who are afraid of getting made fun of by their high school classmates. 5:12

One time in high school a group of kids did the same thing when my mom came to a school event and she was taking pictures , this group were trying to make fun of me . My simple answer , which I did loud and clear so everybody can hear it “ yeah my parents love me that’s why they are here” 😂😂😂😂 They were speechless and looking each other 😜😜🤪🤪🤪🤪😈😈😈

Red doesn't have many redeeming qualities at all, but the occasional moments he stands up for Kitty make him bearable.
