For those who don’t know: Slakoth is in the Slow experience group, making it waaaaaay harder to level up to 100 than Ditto who is in the Fast group. This guy went through hell
But he did it for us, the viewers!
tooth faerie That would just be taking a severe disadvantage for the sake of less grinding, since using Rare Candies to level up doesn’t account for EVs. If he’s going to just use Rare Candies, to maximize the potential of his Slakoth, he still needed to go grind for EVs anyway, so that would defeat the whole purpose, and he still had to show the Slakoth in multiple segment, so there’s only so much Rare Candies he can use before recording a segment. In short, he’s better off just grind normally

@@darianclark3980 However, that would make it too easy. Vigoroth loses truant, which is the main reason slakoth and slaking are so terrible.
@@Rizahawk Slaking has insane base stats and can learn hyper beam, which means he'd be able to one-shot most of the pokemon except maybe the ones with resistances.
Even without that restriction, Slakoth can't evolve until you obtain the national dex. It's one of those weird aspects about FireRed and LeafGreen .
@@solarifle They have that evolution block to prevent some Pokémon from evolving into their Johto forms, such as Golbat evolving into Crobat, because the Kanto Pokédex doesn't track anything beyond 151. But he shouldn't even have a Hoenn Pokémon like Slakoth until he completes the Network Machine postgame quest that unlocks the ability to trade with Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald.

@@flarert8752 Let’s Go is easy for the most part but you would be surprised. I used dig and the ai used earthquake. That is not what they did in Pokémon Blue that is for sure. They turned dig into a useless move. The PVP in Pokémon Go is a mixed bag of easy to impossible. Team rocket for the most part is easy when you level up more and find better Pokémon but it was a grind to find anything decent to use.

This was really interesting! The Ditto videos were cool but this one showcases a lot more variety and strategy I feel, which I like. It's be cool to see more challenges like this that are bustingly hard but allow for strategy and creativity. Maybe a run of a game with a more competent single Pokemon but something like a level cap to keep it tricky?

I always get overwhelmed with the number of awesome Pokémon I can raise in my initial play through of a game. I think I’m gonna boot up Black 2 or XY and play as a theme trainer. Seeing you overcome challenges with smart move use and planning is awesome!

Do it in emerald, using clamperl vs Wallace would be a bigger challenge

Well, today I learned all Ghost type moves were P H Y S I C A L before gen IV...
Those were some dark times indeed.
Wait, but ghosts are the opposite of physical.....
Oh yeah, Pokémon usually makes no sense.
And dark type moves are special but considering most of it is like Crunch, Faint Attack and Bite, its extremely weird.
Nightfans it’s even dumber when moves like bite, crunch, fire/ice/thunder punch, leaf blade, and dragon claw are all considered special BUT they initiate contact leaving them susceptible to effect spore, static, and rough skin.
Physical: Normal, fighting, ghost, Ground, rock, steel, flying, bug, poison
Special: Water, fire, grass, ice, Dark, psychic, dragon, electric
To me, its baffling that people dont know , but i grew up on those games.

@@ldonl9948 It has terrible speed, dies in 1 hit and can take dmg from 5 different types.
The flying type gym will be 100% impossible to clear, they are way faster.
Shedinja also dies to hail and sandstorm which is used by the elite 4.
Due to the weather it would be impossible in gen 3. However, in gen 6 or 7 you could maybe do it with safety goggles
In games there are Easy mode/Normal mode/Hard mode
And there is Pikasprey challenge mode
You know dark souls doesn't seem that bad right now
