The Las Vegas monorail system is one of the cheapest and most popular options of public transportation in Las Vegas. It is especially useful at night when the duece bus is stuck in traffic. It is one of the best ways to get to the Las Vegas convention center. It makes stops at MGM grand station, Bally's station, the Flamingo station, the Linq and Harrahs station, the Las Vegas convention center station, Westgate station and the Sahara station. Before this, I didnt know there was a monorail on the strip. I used the monorail for the first time ever this past trip to Vegas and loved it! Really useful information, keep it coming. Thanks Vegas Ed!

That sure would be nice, but sadly, I don't think that'll ever happen.
I bet eventually they tunnel to the airport, if the tesla shuttle system is a success
OMG the monorail to the airport would be perfect. I went to a flight from Phoenix and order an Uber took almost 2 hours to get a ride because everyone was also ordering a ride OMG it should take that long to get the strip when the airport it literary right there.
Take the bus.

Jeez just great knowing I got a room at the Sahara and I planned to use the monorail to get to my conference and go all around. And then it's a dangerous area.

You don’t have to go through Bally’s to get to the station. You can go through Paris and then their parking garage and then down the stairs to the street level monorail entrance.

How about a fully underground 🚇 city wide subway system like New York or London ? 🤔
Its in the works. They are building an underground tunnel system where you will get in tesla cars and it'll seld drive you to your location. I expect it to change everything when it opens
Do you know if you can ride the monorail past the mgm and ride it back north when it turns around? Reason I’m asking is we’re going to be visiting during a very busy weekend and staying in middle of strip. Event is far north on strip, and monorail is best way to get there. People had said the monorail going north was packed last year for the event and by the time it hit the middle of strip no one got out or could get in. So my idea was to ride going towards MGM where people won’t be going, then ride it as it goes back north and we’re already on while the people start getting on at the stops! Good idea? Thank you!
It says "please exit" over the loud speaker. I dont know what would happen if you tried to stay on. Whether there is an operator that would kick you off or not
If you were wanting to do that, you could always get off at mgm grand and then get right back onto the empty cab after it turns around
hmm, I was planning on walking from PH to Golden Corral. But I might get a Monorail ticket (cut the time in half)

Staying at the Park MGM for UFC 303. Need to get to the Convention center for the Expo on Fri/Sat AM. Would the monorail be the way to go by picking it up behind the main MGM or just do a ride share? Thanks man.
Rideshare would be easier and quicker (depending on the time of day), since you can get it at your hotel. Personally, I'd still take the monorail, since in cheap and i dont mind walking. At night, id definitely take the monorail because traffic is awful
Can you take a wheelchair or a scooter to the monorails or trams?
Yes. They have elevators
It’s a shame it only covers the east side of the strip.
Do we have to press something for the monorail to stop or does it already have specific places to stop so people can go out of there?

I bought tix for KA tonight at 9:30, I'm staying at the Venetian. Would it be better/faster to walk to Harrah's monorail stop, take it to MGM Grand, or just Uber/taxi it?
If it were me, id take the monorail, but mainly because id end up buying a monorail ticket for several days and using it multiple times. Using it only once, its a toss up

If your staying at circus circus would it be better to take the bus or cabs up the strip? Or just use the monorail?
Monorail isnt much of an option at circus circus. The closest stop for the monorail is behind the convention center and would be quite the walk. Id recommend the deuce during the day and uber at night (or duece if you arent in a hurry)

Isn't there 7 stops on the monorail from MGM to the Sahara?
Yes. There is. I don't count sahara, westgate or convention center useful for most people, unless you are specifically going to those places. Most people only care about the 4 stops on the "main part of the strip."
@@VegasEducation You mentioned at night the area around the Sahara not being too safe. Would it be generally safe to get off the monorail at the Sahara and then catch a rideshare to the STRAT from the monorail station?
@@kevins2day I think that'd be fine. Get off at sahara and then walk inside sahara and find out wherever their ride share area is
