Courts do not make moral judgements, they make legal judgements. Moral equivalency can be construed by their judgement but it is not intended. Jesus Christ shared the hill with two convicted thieves, his crime was for the people, where their crimes were against them. But even though they shared the same hill, the court did not make Jesus morally equivalent to the thieves, the law did that, as all are equal before the law, whether the law is just or unjust. Jesus was brought to hell, but no opinion could keep him there.
