It's so funny that I've been thinking of putting a couple of these in my front yard - I'm in the Seattle area - and you just posted this video! It was great timing and convinced me that I need to try to find a couple for my yard. Thanks! 😁 I can't wait to see how yours do.
Hi Jeff 👋 That is beautiful 😍 I am in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast... As much as I want one, I don't think I have the right place for it at this time... boo hoo 😕 😊 You take care of yourself. See you Saturday!
Thank u for this video! I have had this plant for a few years n was just asked what it was, but now I know and I couldn't remember lol just that they made white cone flowers. The leaves are huge, and i love it. Yes, the afternoon shade helps out here in CA. It gets sad during winter but always comes back
Hey! I'm in CA Zone 9. I think that's what we call "Greek Pattern Plant". One encroached under my neighbors fence into my narrow west side yard. It IS cool looking. Free plant! But it has tuber style roots & my side strip is all river rocks. I can't eradicate it. The name makes sense, I see the leaf motif on a lot of ancient Mediterranean art
Hi Jeff! That is a really pretty plant, and the flowers are gorgeous! If I had room for one, I' don't have room for one, but wish I did. I'm looking forward to seeing where you plant them. Thank you so much for sharing!
Leaves look a bit like a Gunnera, now that’s a huge plant! Likes to be by a stream etc and no flowers though. The Acanthus is more interesting though, will be fun to watch it grow 🌿
I was not familiar with this plant but saw them at Lowe’s earlier this week. Seemed a little pricy at $49 but then again maybe that’s a good price what do you think. It would look great in my tropical garden based on size it gets
Acanthus mollis grows really well here in Wales! I’ve just subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your videos. (I also have a gardening channel too that you might like - check it out! 😉)

Hi Jeff, that is a lovely plant. I love the texture
Acanthus mollis means "soft bear claw". This is the name we use in Germany and it sounds so nice for a plant ("weiche Bärentatze")

Looks like a great plant. Wish I could grow it. 🪻🌷💚🙃
Love your videos!! Have you ever thought of a shade sail for your pool?❤
Gotta stay cool 🪭😎🪻🌷💚🙃
What a stunning plant, I love it ❤. It’s huge. I might have to plant some of them in my garden.
FYI I gave my in-ground ‘Whitewater’ worm castings. Don’t do that. Burned it right up, surprisingly.

It’s apparently the new norm. I’m shocked by plant prices this year, everywhere. I don’t leave with the handfuls I use to.

This thing is a thug. I have it in my garden in the UK. It is huge, spreads like wildfire and is practically indestructable.
💓💓💓💓👍🏼
Do you fertilize your bananas? If you do with what? 🪻🌷💚🙃
