Lucy not only has a wonderful voice, you believe every single word she sings.
How is it that a singer can sing a song and you "Believe every single word"...it's a song!
Lucy just evokes so many emotions with her beautiful silky smooth voice!
I have been following Lucy for a long time and I have to say her voice is in it's own category that only the greats know about. She is on her way to stardom. Beautiful to listen to.
She always sings so clearly and with Passion & Soul!
There is something about the way Lucy sings that touches our hearts and elicits an emotional response. Partly, it is to do with the rich complex timbres swirling around within her tones but is is also her own emotional connection with the story of the song coming through via subtle body language cues and facial expressions. In short, she feels the song deeply and connects emotionally and this is what comes at us, her audience. My reaction is physical and emotional every time. This continues to surprise and delight me.

Her lastest CD has been released it's called "Beyond" it has some great covers on it "Whiter Shade of Pale" Annie Lennox cover and "Pie Jesu" just to mention a couple. I reacted to Sohyang's cover of "Bridge over Troubled Water" a while back now, it was the first time I'd heard it covered and I literally broke down...It reminds me of my mother. Lucy's playback has some echo/reverb issues. The original does not sound anything like this.

Sorry I didn’t like the Sohyang version. But Lucy’s voice is like a 40 string Harp, so many beautiful tones and sounds, ups and down, highs and lows, soft and strong, happy and sad, warm and chills - and that’s all in one Lucy breath…………..
If you want to her a tear jerker then listen ‘You Raise Me Up’ that made me cry.

Did not like song yang She screams and this song doesn´t need it. Lucy version is way better in my opinion.
Lucy sang the song purely and how it should be sung So Hyang gave it the Mariah Carey treatment with all the wails which are not needed for this kind of song.
The Sohyang version is very polarizing. Either you love highly melismatic singing or you don’t.

As God is my witness, I want to like this girl. She has a very nice clean voice, however, I keep getting Cakra Khan vibes. Every song sounds the same.
Well, her throat and vocal cords are the same each time, but her style and sound differ dramatically from song to song. Compare "Pie Jesus" with the Etta James song, "At last." Compare both with the very different sound and style of "A Whiter Shade of Pale," or of her partly Italian epic voice in "A Prayer." She is actually very versatile and quite different song to song.
