love learning old tricks that borrow from RnB, country, etc that sound cool on a Strat! thanks heaps, Mike! (AND your guitar is perfectly in tune... wrapped in your patience, your joy and your detail... yeah, baby, yeah!!
Hey Mike you're teaching an old dog new tricks. My playing had been getting sooo tired going around all the same old stuff with the band. I decided to go back to first principles with all your material. I really like they way you present all your videos. Thanks mate !!
Great lesson ...The older I get the more I'm into good rhythm..who doesn't like this stuff so soulful...whoever came up with the caged system is genius it's a simple concept but there is so much that lies within it..just breaking down the chord shapes ....great stuff Mike !!
Man, I just wanna say one thing that every one teaches how to write "ABCD" but there are very few like you, who really show us how to make words or sentences with it. Hope you get it lol. Keep up the good work.
Awesome mate!! well explained particularly unveiling those chord embellishments trough the pentatonic scale . that really explains Hendrix thinking process Great stuff ,greetings from Miami ,USA
Saved to Favourites. Made it my life long mission to track down the 40 people who don't like this video and bring them to justice for their crimes against musicality. Excellent intro into one of the best guitarist techniques for rhythm.
I’m a complete beginner and this is very good stuff. I know my caged system and corresponding scales so I picked it right up. Great video, short and to the point. Thanks for posting.
That was a great lesson you kept it simple explained it perfectly I unstood what was up I had been jumping around other videos which where good but 3 cord progression the 2 cord progression was the key for me at this time then I'll tackle the 3 cord progression when I master this one and your excitement for your lesson motivated and inspired me and thank you hope you do well so be safe be healthy and be blessed ...and rock on...Roland J Gutierrez from Magdalena New Mexico USA 🇺🇸..a.k.a. rocknrollflat5...
Thats right " this bad boy wants to play", I saw a video recently, I cant remember who it was but it was a prominent guitar you tuber who was saying he hardly uses his pinky anymore in his playing and went to to have a fairly in depth conversation about eliminating the little finger from playing...........I couldn't believe it. I didnt say anything because he is a guitar you tuber god with thousands of subs and I'm just a bedroom hack. Please anybody whois learning to play please remember all of you fingers are as important as all the other fingers, even your thumb position is important, as I'm sure Mike here would agree. Because that little bad boy wants to play.............Love to all have a great day.............................
Mike's got energy and enthusiasm. Better that than deadpan boring. This isn't a corporate business presentation. It's a free guitar lesson on youtube buddy. And an excellent one at that. Here's another free lesson: keep your insults to yourself.
