    7:20 Correction, the burgers were 35% smaller than advertised. Therefore the advertised burgers are actually 54% larger.

      @@reindeerman214 well it says that the burgers were 35 percent smaller than advertised this does not mean that the advertisement has a larger burger by 35 percent..they are not the same if you form an equation you will get this as the result

    • @Scrurr
      @Scrurr หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@reindeerman214I'm going to use some simple numbers for this example.
      35% smaller than 100 is 100 x 0,65 = 65
      35% larger than 65 is 65 x 1.35 = 87,75
      This might be very wrong but that is how I would think it is :P
      Please correct me if I am wrong!

    One of the biggest flaws that Bk has is the fact that they don't add cheese to their burgers by default and charge extra for it.

      I love the fact they don’t add cheese to every thing I usually have to pay for a cheeseburger and have them take it off, which they rarely do so I have to get everything remade…. So I welcome The fact that if you want cheese you have to add it.

    A few years ago when my sister came from Europe she ordered a large drink at a fast food restaurant, and I had gotten a medium. She was shocked to see how big the large drink was, and said that where she lives the large is smaller than our medium, between the small and medium size. By looking at this video it seems like Europe’s large drink has gotten a lot bigger.

      In fairness in the UK we say both. Like someone has already pointed out chips tend to be chunkier that fries, which are much thinner. Fries is what you say when you are refering to french fries, chips is what you say when you refer to what we typically say when we are referring to the thicker style we normally get over here. To confuse things though some people just say chips to refer to both, but if someone says fries you know exactly which style they are referring to.

    How about touring some other countries and trying their fast food? I can think of a few interesting things in different places that are quite iconic: Canada -- compared to other fast food burgers, Canadian A&W is really good, and Regina-style pizza is absolutely awesome; Ireland -- Supermac's (a home-grown Irish burger chain, not my favourite but it's distinct as I'm pretty sure they don't have them anywhere else); New Zealand -- Burger Fuel; Australia -- Oporto chicken sandwiches and a place in Sydney that does good burgers called North's; France -- Quick; and I used to really love Fuddrucker's... I know a lot of them have closed down, but they still exist and it would interesting to see what you think of them. Everyone has done Whataburger/Sonic/Shake Shack/BK/McDs et cetera to death. Try some other, lesser-known chains, please. Fudds would be a good place to start. And for another episode maybe go to Germany and compare the various street foods like Doner Kebabs and Currywurst.

    The differences in weight are fairly small, to the point where I'd dare say that they're within margin of error. I also don't quite believe that this is the most fair way of comparing. Especially with the differences being as small as mentioned, wouldn't it be fairer to check a larger batch, perhaps even from multiple different BK locations? A sample size of 1 of each simply isn't all that realistic, since no burger or bag of fries is the same.

    An idea for a Food Wars series. Harry tries items from US fast food franchises (that haven't made it to the UK) and Joe does the same thing with UK fast food franchises, rank each franchise and their food items and guess if the that fast food franchise can make it in each country. I would love to see Harry try restaurants like Bojangles, Carl's Jr./Hardee's, Chick-fil-A, Del Taco, Raising Cane's, Sonic Drive-In, Whataburger, and Zaxby's!

    As for ideas a Food Wars, Fusion restaurants? LA is famous for the Asian-Latin fusion spots. I would think London has some kind of Indian-African or Indian-Caribbean offerings. That or simply a "Worst of Fast Food" episode that presumably features a bunch of Long John Silvers, Panda Express, and GDK.

    Its probably way harder to do, but I reckon it'd be fun to have Joe and Harry doing pretty much exactly this set, but swapping regions.

    So glad to see someone who shares my opinion that BK fries are the superior fast food fries, and unsurprised it's a fellow Brit. I wonder if it's that BK fries are actually better over here, or if it's just that McDonald's fries in the UK are awful (I mean, obviously they are, but I wonder if they're better in the USA).
    We did have the Bacon King for a while but nobody really ordered it because it's just the Bacon Double Cheese XL but with mayo. Although, right now we do have the "Festive BBQ King" which is a Bacon Double Cheese XL with mayo, BBQ sauce and ♫five onion rings♫ (hence the "Festive" part).
