Okay I'm holding you totally responsible for the fact that I've got nothing done in my house today because I've been glued to your videos LOL. I've been on vacation from work and I'm really taking it seriously. Thank you for the entertainment, knowledge and just for being you. XO from Pennsylvania
Tipper, you are SUCH a good person! I can hear that you're not feeling very well, yourself. You're an example of what unselfishness looks like! Saying a special prayer that all of you get better soon! ❤
You were talking about your Mama worrying about you even when you were older. My Mom was like that. I’ll never forget when I was in my thirties and I was leaving she said don’t you think you should put a coat on? I remembered I was so irritated by that but I completely understood once I had my son. It is love and my Mom died when I was 38 and I would love to have her remind me to put on a jacket now and I’m 61. I was blessed to have her for as long as I did. I love to hear you talk about being blessed! That’s an excellent way to be! ❤️
Lost my mother when I was 26, heartbreaking, and here I a now older than she ever got to be, a strange feeling.. I still miss her so much though I’m 67 now xxx
Tipper you are such a good wife, mother ,daughter, and grandma! You are always doing for others and that love shows through!❤I hope Matt gets to feeling better soon. He might need a popsicle to perk him up! Maybe not outside, but in the basement! 😊
Tipper, true Southern mama and wife-sick, but gotta feed everyone ❤😊 that may be more than just the South, but I grew up with grandparents that lived through the depression. You showed love by feeding people. It was a pot of peas, when they got low you’d have a big pot of “arsh taters”, then butter beans….but come Sunday, kill a chicken or two and fry it (in the oven in lard) …always a big sheet of homemade biscuits that went with every meal. Sure miss them and the wonderful food. Seeing you cook when you didn’t feel too well brought back memories of them that are etched in my heart forever-so, thank you! Praying all are feeling better 🙏
Yes it's SO good to have someone to worry about you.....check on you and watch out for you....one day they won't be around to watch......I miss that sometimes.....now I'm THE WATCHER! lol
My family all settled in Appalachia, all were Celtic. I have always wanted to visit and to live there. The people just seem to be wonderful and the food looks amazing! ❤
It's a blessing to have people who love you so much they worry about your safety and well being. God bless all the mothers and fathers who care so much for you. Jesus is my Lord and Savior who watches over me constantly.💓🙏😇
I've had that congestion, laryngitis for two weeks at least! Ive taken Mucinex, Benadryl, greased my throat and chest with vicks couple times, put Vicks in my nose a few times, washed my eyes out 2 or 3 times, gargled with vinegar and salt few times! still hoarde, coughing some, runny nose! Thank God the cough is better!! I thought I had whooping cough!! That is SO sweet of Paul with his mother, and taking such care with her!! Which I'm sure all of you are good to her! My mother worried like your mother does. And I do too.
I had the crud the beginning of December, and then on Christmas Day, I had Norovirus. That was utterly miserable. Thankful to be feeling better now. So blessed!
That bread looks delicious! For years my mother would buy the Pillsbury cinnamon orange rolls for our Christmas breakfast. They are good but I know that bread is better. I bet you could make that recipe the same as cinnamon rolls.
Drinking hot chocolate from my Celebrating Appalachia cup and watching Tipper make that delicious orange bread. The perfect evening for me Happy New Year 🎉
What a luscious meal. I love that you showed the orange bread again. I printed off the recipe! Hate you all have sickness. I just got over it right before Christmas! Katie is a nut. Hilarious! Thanks Tipper!
Happy New Year Miss Tipper, Matt, Austin, Corey, Katie and the baby boys, and of course, Granny and Paul and everyone in the family. Your video's are such a comfort to me.
You brought back sweet memories of my mama having me call her when I would get home from somewhere. She lived beside of us so when it was dark and I walked back home, I would flash the porch light two times to let her know I was in safe and sound. I sure miss that concern and love that only a mother can give. Your mother is a precious soul. Happy New Year and may you have much happiness.
My daughter and I did something different this New Year's. We had pork loin and sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. It was just what I had a taste for. Your meal looked delicious and you are such an angel Tipper for making Matt's favorite dessert when you both are feeling wonky. This hopefully will be a wonderful year for your family as your two baby boys start walking and talking. God Bless You All.
Aw....poor Matt...he sounds pretty rough. It took a good 10 days to feel I was on the 'other side' of the worst of it. But you two are amazing...you, Tipper are still taking care of the family with meals and baking, and Matt still right in there helping with the clean-up and dishes afterwards! I loved the ways love can be shown among some families, such as call me when you get safely where you are going! Even though my children are well into adulthood with their own families, I ask them to call me when they get home too no matter the hour it might be. They do the same to me. Again, I pray that Katie and Ira do not get this, and Paul & Granny, and that you & Matt will SOON be back to health again, also Woody, Austin and Corie. 🙏🙏
Good point! The tool you have is best for making long thicker zest strips that are best used in fancy drinks or to candy. The microplane would work like a charm.
My family always tell each other I love you when we're leaving, and I always ask them to call me when they get home. Happy New Year y'all!🎉Continued prayers for everyone. Praying and Blessed! 🤗🙏💕🌄❄️
Hey Tipper! Happy New Year to you and your family! I'm 71 years old and as far back as I can remember my family always had a pork roast and kraut on New Years Day. It was a huge tradition for us. My Daddy's family, and my Mother's family always had it when they were growing up as well as my grandparents.I have carried on the tradition for my family, and my youngest son is a chef,he is caring on the tradition for the next generation. It always meant good luck to eat this meal on the first day of January. Love your channel, and watching and learning about traditions of other families! Keep it up.Thank You!
Yum yum dear Tipper. I want to try that bread!!! I loved Matt’s dad video. Handsome kind man. I pray you all get well soon. May this new year bring abundant blessings to all the family and friends. Love from Costa Rica.
When Matt feels better he ought to kiss the cook.🤣🤣 Because Tipper you are amazing. You make it look so easy but you got to be tired after that meal and orange bread. Have a good evening. 🌻
We are sick here too. I stay with and care for my elderly Mom and she caught it from me 🙁. After watching you make that bread, I’m going to go make me a piece of cinnamon toast! Hope you all are well soon. ❤
Seriously, Tipper, regardless of what you're doing, I sit mesmerized while your calming voice just soothes my soul. It's uncanny! I enjoy watching you cook. It relaxes me. I cook much the same as you, but watching you always teaches me something. Thank you. 🥰
Tipper, you always cook the most delicious meals! 😋 It all looks so good. 💕 Matt was happy to get the orange cinnamon bread and an awesome supper to go with it. 😊 I can taste it all the way over here in Kentucky. 🫶 I pray that you all feel better soon. 🙏 Sending blessings to you and all your family. 💗🙏
Happy New Year to you all!! I hope you get to feeling better soon!! Blessings for the upcoming new year ! The sound when you were cutting that cornbread made my mouth water … so crunchy sounding!!
I grow extra beets for my chickens in the winter. That way they have some greens and fresh veggies. I like raw turnips and rutabagas. They are good in salads and cut like carrots and dipped in a dip. I pray for a blessed, happy New Year for y’all. TeresaSue. P.S. I saw a weather video today that said the south east is going to get a polar vortex winter storm this month. Stay warm!
I just love rutabagas! They are delicious. They don't look like it, but they are actually related to broccoli and cauliflower. Great mixed with potatoes and other root veggies. ☺️
New years feast. I bet those turnips and greens taste especially good straight from the garden. Praying you all get to feeling better. May 2025 bring blessings, good health and prosperity for all yall. Have a blessed night.
That meal and bread looks delicious!! Sorry you all are sick. Hope Ira doesn’t get it. I tell you the thing that cures my creepin crud is drinking my canned tomato juice. I put a quart in the fridge to get real cold. Put a bunch of hot sauce in and drink. I just guzzle… I swear by it. ❤
Happy New Year, if I leave right now I can be there by early morning and have some of that cake before Matt eats it all. I'm game to try. I haven't cooked turnips and turnip greens in a long time. Sure made me hungry for some. I'm so sorry ya'll have that awful cold going around. I know some that it turned to pneumonia. Our little grandson had it last week but so far we don't have it. I look forward to your vlog in 2025. I got a pack of Cleome seeds in the mail today from Park Seed. I had not grown them in awhile and wanted them up against my fence in the back. I'll be sure to plant some turnips in the fall. Thanks for all the hard work you and your family put in to your vlogs in 2024. I have really enjoyed getting to know you and learning so much from your Appalachian knowledge. You are a wonderful family. Hugs my NC friends.
When I was a girl, a neighbor always gave us fresh turnips and greens. Mama didn’t like the turnips so she only cooked the greens and us kids ate the raw turnips. I LOVED them and haven’t eaten one in many years. This video brought this memory and taste back to me!❤
I tried the bread before it is as good as it looks!!! My husband and me been sick for over two weeks with a horrible cough. It wasn’t a cold! Matt looks like he really feels bad!! The holidays always seem like germs run rampant.. but we were too sick to have ours and not up to it yet. Christmas is coming late this year! Hope you family feels better soon!!!!❤
I still call my Mom v when my husband and I get home from her house (75 miles away) and I'm in my 40s. She instilled that in me from an early age. If I was spending the night at a friend's house and we went to the movies or anything like that, I was to call and tell her we were at their house safely. It's comforting to know someone cares. Now hubby and I text "I'm here" if we go to an appointment or anything in town. It eases the other's mind and is not hard or time consuming. I do wish Katie could get over her shyness. She needs to come out of her shell😂. Happy New Year🎉
Praying for yous not feeling well in your family, a lot of sickness going around. Thanks for doing your videos, and encouragements, God bless your family, get well again 🙏❤️
The best zester I have comes in 2 parts. The zester and the holder. It comes from Lee Valley Tools. You put the zester onto the holder and as you use it the zest goes into the holder. Good for garlic, fruit, cheese, nutmeg etc. look it up. Only takes a few seconds to zest anything.
Tipper, I've been waiting for you to make this delicious recipe again.. making Matt's favorite dessert while he's sick & the TLC that you show your family is truly inspirational. Sending get well wishes to Matt & thinking he looked & sounded better after eating your orange cinnamon pull apart bread. lol You inspire & motivate many especially this Mamaw from WV. Love & so appreciate you.. God Bless Y'all.
Add about a tablespoon of sugar to your greens. You can't taste it, but you will notice the greens aren't as bitter as they would have been. I got this from my grandmother... she was a wonderful old timey cook. Wish I had learned more from her.
My grandma always had Black eyed peas and ham hock on New Year's Day. She was from Missouri but she lived most of her life in California. And she lived to be 101 she died in 2016. Have a great New Year's
My favorite way to get fine orange zest is with a Microplane. It only takes a thin layer and grates it really fine. and I think it works pretty fast. (I mostly use it for Parmesan cheese but it's good for lemon zest and grated chocolate, too.) That zester tool is meant to give strips of the rinds which some people boil in a sugar syrup for candied orange peel. I have one but rarely use it.
Happy New Year, Tipper and Matt!! I laughed when you told the story of Granny wanting you to call when you got somewhere or watch until you got home. My mom used to do that when she was alive. I do it to my cousins and my friends now. Thankfully no one takes offense. You’re right, it’s just someone loving you enough to worry that you’re ok. Anywho, thanks for the memory, Tipper. I wish you all a year of health, love and joy!! Much love💕
Collards, candied sweet potatoes, black-eyed peas (we're not big peas fans, so just Bush's canned), mashed rutabagas, pork chops, and cornbread for us. Later on that night I heated up some cornbread and crumbled it in cold buttermilk...YUM! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Happy New Year to you all. Sending some healing energy to everyone under the weather. Flu is definitely going around!! Here in our household we take elderberry syrup on a daily basis...chicken soup too for Matt. Get well soon!
The supper sounds good and hope everyone gets to feeling better now. I wanted to comment on you have so many cabinets that’s so awesome, well take care get to feeling better. Happy New Year to all ur family …
We are under winter weather watch. I am in Louisville, KY. It is coming Sunday into Monday. Some churches are already cancelling Sunday services. I sure hope those that are still not in their homes will not have this bad weather. Temps could get into single digits next week. The mountains of Eastern KY may get it also. I still have family in the Mountains.
I haven't been feeling well either. We got about 7 inches of snow today. Wish I could send it your way. I'm going blind, so the snow is a huge hassle for me! I'm terrified about falling. Happy New Year to all of you... 🙏☮️💟
Happy New Year! So sorry that y'all are all passing the creeping crud on to each other. I can tell it has affected all of you. I got it 2 days after Christmas & I'm just now getting better. Hugs & Blessings to you & prayers for Granny.
Dinner looks amazing! Tipper, if you ever decide to make cinnamon rolls from your orange bread recipe I’d love to see how they turn out. I’m real excited to try the bread. I love pillowy dough! God Bless each of you! A lot of ppl everywhere have been fighting that crud! Thank You, Jesus for your stripes!🙌🏼
So sorry y’all are sick…this virus is a 10 day ordeal for most everyone I know of who has suffered it. Your meal resembles mine and was a treat after Christmas food. I had grandmothers who worried and cautioned all of us about everything so I can relate. Feel better! I LOVE Matt’s mug.
We’ve all had the crud here also but on the mend. Hope you all get better soon. My oven has been out for 2 weeks and yesterday I was preparing our fried cabbage, beans and pork and was wanting cornbread. I looked up your video about fried cornbread and I just loved it. Believe it or not, even though I’m a country girl I’d never fried cornbread but my husband had. It was so good. Happy New Year and I wish us all health. ❤🙏😊
I sure hope y’all are feeling better soon. You and Matt are still a bit peekid. Take care of yourselves. It’s a rough patch. I had it a couple weeks ago. Happy New year and God bless. 😊
I love all your videos. It was really sweet of you to make your husband his favorite dessert to help him feel better your supper looks delicious. I love turnips and the greens the best of all. God bless you all with healing and strength.🙏❤️💙
This is my second year making the orange cinnamon bread. I've titled it "The Last Hoorah Bread" :) One day later, it's all gone! One of my favorites. Thank you for sharing, Tipper.
We really enjoy your videos! Thank you for sharing so much with all of us! Since I'm home today, I decided to make your orange cinnamon bread for the first time. I used the dough cycle on my bread machine to knead and rise the dough. It's been rolled out and cut, and is now rising again in the baking pan. The house smells of fresh oranges! It's divine! After watching Matt enjoy this numerous times, I'm sure my hubby will be delighted when he gets home from work and sees this bread on the counter. Happy New Year to all of you! God Bless!
Sounds like a good supper to me, especially the orange bread….i really need to try it❤ sure hope Matt will feel much better soon ❤ That sweet about Granny watching out for you to get home safely ❤
I was just talking to my neighbor who’s 10 years older than I am and she spoke to her mom who’s 95 and father’s 98 who said each year goes faster and faster . Don’t I know it. My husband has the creeping crud right now, but on its way out . Happy new year to you and your beautiful family ❤
I had my moms & sadly I dropped it & it broke into big pieces ( I cried because I remember how she used it all the time).I wish I would have thought to still keep those pieces & put them around in my flower beds, but I didn’t! I always enjoy seeing Tipper use hers❤
Tipper, I was wishing you could hand me a good size piece of this orange bread - with lots of icing - through the desktop screen. LOL Man, that looks delicious! And for Matt to say it's his fave dessert ever - I've got to try it soon. Ya'll hunker down for the Arctic Blast that's coming! God bless.

That zester is best used for long spirals of zest for garnish. You need a microplane to make powdery zest.

Happy New Year🎉
Love that 😊
Praying for yous not feeling well in your family, a lot of sickness going around. Thanks for doing your videos, and encouragements, God bless your family, get well again 🙏❤️
Sorry Matt is feeling under the weather. Will be saying special prayers for his speedy recovery. AMEN 🙏
Thank you!
I was sick for almost 2 weeks. Prayers for the health of your family. That bread looks delicious!
Sorry you've been sick too!
Sounds great!
Happy New Year! Praying for that sickness to leave your home ASAP! Feel better Matt and as always sending prayers and love to you all and Granny!
Thank you! We appreciate that 🙏
Hope your NewYear brings you good health, happiness and lots of love. Thank you for sharing your story with us. 💕
I hope all of you feel better soon. It’s so cute when Matt says “Golly that’s good”. Happy New Year!
Oh thank you 😊
I understand granny. My family and I are just the same way. We need to know that our loved ones are safe.
Add about a tablespoon of sugar to your greens. You can't taste it, but you will notice the greens aren't as bitter as they would have been. I got this from my grandmother... she was a wonderful old timey cook. Wish I had learned more from her.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 😊❤
I gotta make bread today. Love that orange flavor! Happy new year!
My grandma always had Black eyed peas and ham hock on New Year's Day. She was from Missouri but she lived most of her life in California. And she lived to be 101 she died in 2016. Have a great New Year's
So glad you had her for so long 😊 I know you miss her!
Much love💕
Hope Matt is better today. Love hearing Ira's voice in the background!
That sounds delicious!
My step dad used to make orange rolls. Not sure he used cinnamon. But he rolled them up like a cinnamon roll. But that looks delicious that way!❤
Sounds great!
Happy New Year's ! Hope you and your family have a Blessed, Joyful, and Healthy year.
Happy New Year to you all. Sending some healing energy to everyone under the weather. Flu is definitely going around!! Here in our household we take elderberry syrup on a daily basis...chicken soup too for Matt. Get well soon!

Happy New Year to all ur family …
Thank you! 😊
That bread looks amazing 🤩 hope Matt feels better soon. Happy New Year xxx
Matt, sure hope you get better soon. The bread really looks good. No wonder it is Matt’s favorite.
We use mullien when we have coughs or any lung issues. I suggest you check it out online. Happy New Year and God bless y'all.

I haven't been feeling well either. We got about 7 inches of snow today. Wish I could send it your way. I'm going blind, so the snow is a huge hassle for me! I'm terrified about falling. Happy New Year to all of you... 🙏☮️💟
Oh no. I hope you stay safe. That sounds so scary!
I’m sorry! We appreciate you 😊
So enjoyable watching you cook in the kitchen! Happy New Year!
Thank you 😊
Happy New Year! So sorry that y'all are all passing the creeping crud on to each other. I can tell it has affected all of you. I got it 2 days after Christmas & I'm just now getting better. Hugs & Blessings to you & prayers for Granny.
I'm so glad you are feeling better! Thank you! 😊
Happy new year granny may you be blessed in 2025. God bless you!❤️
I made banana bread awhile ago.I had 2 bananas ,it called for3 so I finished it off with cooked apples. Turned out great
Dinner looks amazing!
Thank you 😊
Happy new year Tipper, Matt, Katie, Corey and Austin and the grandkids. Many blessings to you in 2025. May you have peace and joy and good health.
Thank you for the wonderful videos. I enjoy the down home Christian entertainment. God Bless you and your family and have a Happy New Year!
I sure hope y’all are feeling better soon. You and Matt are still a bit peekid. Take care of yourselves. It’s a rough patch. I had it a couple weeks ago. Happy New year and God bless. 😊
Matt hope you were cured by the sweet bread! I agree with you. It’s better than the alternative. Merry Christmas to both of you.🎉🥰❤️
Happy New Year to you and your family from our family here in Jefferson, Georgia. I'm looking forward to more videos this next year.
I love all your videos. It was really sweet of you to make your husband his favorite dessert to help him feel better your supper looks delicious. I love turnips and the greens the best of all. God bless you all with healing and strength.🙏❤️💙
Same food us Wilson’s grew up on. Still eat to this day! Desert looks delicious 😊. Get better soon
This is my second year making the orange cinnamon bread. I've titled it "The Last Hoorah Bread" :) One day later, it's all gone! One of my favorites. Thank you for sharing, Tipper.
Wonderful!!
After watching Matt enjoy this numerous times, I'm sure my hubby will be delighted when he gets home from work and sees
this bread on the counter. Happy New Year to all of you! God Bless!
Yay 😀 love that! I hope you all love it as much as we do 😊 thank you!
Yes, it was delicious! Even the grandchildren loved it! ❤️
God bless you and your family. My husband and I so enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! We appreciate you!

That sweet about Granny watching out for you to get home safely ❤
I was just talking to my neighbor who’s 10 years older than I am and she spoke to her mom who’s 95 and father’s 98 who said each year goes faster and faster . Don’t I know it. My husband has the creeping crud right now, but on its way out . Happy new year to you and your beautiful family ❤
Happy New Year , may God bless all your family throughout the new year. From the Bluegrass.
My favorite green bowl, just used mine last night. I just love those green bowls.
God bless.
