Hi Marc. I’m in the process of setting up my first Espresso purchases and am struggling to pick a grinder. I currently brew with a drip or French press utilizing a Baratza Virtuoso that has worked well for those methods. So…..do I buy a grinder to serve all my needs (Life X, Libre AP) or buy a grinder to work alongside the Virtuoso (Twist, Magnifica, Specialita, something else). I’m preordering a Move and would be willing to spend up to Libre AP pricing ( if it makes sense) if it can grind espresso substantially better than other options. I would by a single dosing Zero but need the ability to dose timed or weighted grinding to keep everyone happy, so plus one to the Life X. I feel that grind retention is big on my list of important factors as well. How would one of the Eureka grinders with the single dosing kit compare to the Life X? When comparing the Twist vs the Life X are there any benefits in grind quality to either? Something in the back of my mind is telling me that there is a downside to 50mm in the Life X ……. I know that was a lot, please help! TY
Hi , I just got my new A54 today. But the coffee does not coming out from the slide, I check the slide from the bottom and see a piece of foil paper thing blocking the way. Is that normal? Should I send back for repair?
Hi RG, there should not be anything blocking the slide. Any chance a piece of coffee bag or other foreign object got into the hopper? Another possibility is grind was set way too fine and ultra fine grind plugged up the delivery chute. You can try turning to a much coarser setting and grinding beans. In many cases, the coarser grind can push through a plug of coffee that's too fine. If that does not work my advice is to open up the grinder. That's easy to do as seen at this point in the video: th-cam.com/video/z9c9kBAvam0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6Q7jzXuxIf7q5u6R&t=646 For safety, unplug it first. Then open up and use something like toothpick or similar to poke through the section where ground coffee exits. If you purchased the grinder from us and are not comfortable doing the above please contact our Tech Support staff here who can help you through diagnoses and potential at home resolution of the issue: support.wholelattelove.com/hc/en-us/categories/360005124554-Technical-Support
@ thanks for the advice. I called the technical support, and they advice me to unscrew and take out the whole front panel so the slide is completely exposed, and I discovered that there is a piece of plastic thing getting the way. The grind works fine now.
This is way too complicated. There should only be three things: mechanical grind adjustment, the power switch and portafilter activated switch. That’s it. No modes, no timers, no touchscreen, nothing
Hi ns, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Sounds like you'd prefer the ECM S-Manual 64: www.wholelattelove.com/products/ecm-s-manuale-64-espresso-grinder-heritage-line?variant=40599679238198 Or Profitec Pro M-54: www.wholelattelove.com/collections/espresso-grinders/products/profitec-pro-m54-coffee-grinder Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage Actually, I bought the Eureka Mignon Silenzio from you, guys. I am using it for drip coffee and it has been great so far. Thinking about an espresso set up, which will probably require a separate grinder. The Eureka is great, but not practically adjustable back and forth between drip and espresso.
That beard really suits you Marc
Hey P, My wife thinks so too.

Nice grinder.
Does Ecm use in-house burrs or do they outsource them?
Hi tp, ECM outsources burrs.
Is the hopper made of glass or plastic?
plastic
I would buy this over the migniom but would buy the ceado e5 over this..
Hi gigi, thanks for sharing your preference!

All the more reason to buy a grind by weight....
I do like grind by weight grinders! They tend to be more $$ but do simplify the process and make consistency easier!
