    I am very high on Reed Sheppard. Not only is he an elite shooter, but also Kentucky guards tend to overperform in the NBA.
    I also like Filipowski. He’s an intelligent mobile big who shoots well enough, passes, and defends. However, both players I would trade down and draft later in the lottery because I don’t think they are worth a number 3 pick. Sarr is the only player in this draft worth a top 5 pick.

There are no so called Super Stars you mortgage your franchise future on to win maybe 10 more games. There will be no major turnover with his young core. From a NBA Scout via Rafael Barlow>>>>> about Risacher. He’s shooting the ball, but he can't put it on the floor. He can't. I just don't see how you can take him No. 1. You can't take a wing that high, that cannot put the ball on the floor or create. I mean, it's like, you can get you a 3 and D wing anywhere in the draft. You can find a good 3 & D wing in the 20’s. But in this draft, he’s a top 5 pick, and he’ll be able to help a team because he can shoot and he doesn’t need the ball to be impactful.
    To me this is what the Rockets need as currently constructed. People who don't need the ball to be impactful and that can shoot. The rest can be built over time. The kid is 6'9-10 and only 19-20yrs old.
    On tape looks to be a willing defender with active hands. Don't let this kid go to the Spurs and team up with Wemby.

    Lol I see nobody had love for Rob Dillingham. I'd honestly draft him or Reed Sheppard at 3. Rob has higher upside tho. If I were to trade, I'd trade with POR for 7th pick and take BPA out of potentially Dalton Knecht or Stephon Castle. I also wouldn't mind trading back for C Kel'el Ware. I'm sure his perfect combine grade raised his stock to, at least, late lottery worthy. The Rockets could use an athletic floor & rim running big that can space the floor and protect the rim. He'd even have time to develop behind Steven Adams. I'd let him develop in G League for half the season, then sit on bench and continue to learn behind Adams for remainder of year.

  • @waynesmith2247
    @waynesmith2247 หลายเดือนก่อน

    There isn't a player in this draft available at the 3rd pick that's going to come in as a rookie and be a difference maker on this team this year. More than likely he'll be sent down to the G League. And that's ok, but at some point you can only develop so many young players before it becomes too many. Remember getting value out of collected draft picks isn't solely in keeping them all We were never going to actually draft and keep ALL those picks. They are simply assets Tradeable assets.... and some will be used to make deals.

    Blueprint for a kickass draft: Trade 3 & 44 to Portland for 7 & 14. Draft Holland at 7 and Devin Carter at 14. Like Cooper, I’d take Holland at 3, but he’ll probably fall to 7 or later. You guys need to do a deep dive on Devin Carter. He’s more athletic than Reed Shepherd with better anthro measurements. He’s also a solid shooter from distance at 38% for the season. He’s a major dog on both sides of the ball. That’s my take.

  • @BossNerd
    @BossNerd หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Yea, just add 7 to your pick in this draft and that's where your value is at in a normal draft. So what is the 10th pick worth in a normal draft? That's what we really have to work with. I don't see much in trades happening so just take Sheppard. I also noticed Holmes. I would try to package our 2nd round pick, Tate and/or Landale to get Holmes(maybe Ware). However, this roster is too crowded, we have to address that sooner or later. I would try to get a veteran for several guys and the 3rd pick but there just isn't anybody I like. Would you trade Jalen, the 3rd pick, Landale & Tate for DeJonte Murray? I wouldn't - Is he even a "star" player? The one thing it would do is clear the roster some. I might be willing to use a Nets picks, Jalen, & Landale to get Murray along with Sheppard and Holmes. The roster would still be too crowded. Forget the core six we may end up with the core eight after the draft. There is the old saying "sometimes less is more". Maybe you do go ahead and trade for Paul George just to clear the roster to open up more playing time for some guys and move on. Right now it seems we are stuck in developmental limbo - especially if we add two more rookies.

Don’t trade for Mitchell I like him but he not a one on a championship level team we would be a second round exit at most. Until a superstar becomes available might as well do what OKC is doing keep this young group together for the next four to five years and see what we have.
    As for the third pick I’m for moving down but if there not an offer that not worth the third pick keep it.
    Reed is the pick for me he the best shooter in his class and he is FVV replacement after this upcoming year. He can play on ball and off ball so he can play with Jalen and Amen and he an intelligent defender he could learn a lot from Fred.
    I mostly agree that you draft for upside. But in this draft all of the guys are around the same tier. It’s not wrong for the rockets to draft for need especially since we need shooting.
    Reed the best fit for our team.
    Even though we have enough wings Kinchet the only wing I would be ok in drafting because of his ability to move behind the three point line and shoot. He would give us the spacing we need. But I’m only drafting him if we trade back.

    No on Donovan Mitchell, keep the pick and draft either Sheppard, Risacher, or Clingan and do a package trade and get someone like Desmond Bane, Lauri Markannen, Jarret Allen or Tyrese Maxey.

    He’s just trying to create a narrative. The Rockets have already stated their not interested in trading their core 6 for a star player.

      Not Edey too slow can't shoot from deep, we will get killed on defense putting him in picks n switching, Edey is a end of the first pick in most drafts

    Trade the pick for Jarrett allen!!! Back to Sengun..
    I really think Adam and sengun can probably play together. Adam's screening ability is that good and I think sengun has enigh handle to take on other 4s and 5s in a pick and role with other 4s and 5s if they needed it to happen

    I understand high iq, however physical capability is equally as important. There's a reason why the Pacers choose Mykes Turner over Sabonis... The elephant in the room that no one ever seem s to address is, we need size at the 5 position, we need a rim protector, preferably a big who can do both. The issue is, you cannot move ALP to the 4. If you are running a two big lineup, one of them have to be able to stretch the floor, and the 4 have to be able to switch at least 2-4
