This match showed me how to play against Raider as BP. The hyperarmor, Storm Tap and unblockable zone 50/50 makes Raider a hard opponent. The BP was very skilled knowing when to bash Raider out of hyperarmor and keep Raider stamina low.
You basically just learned how to spam
Why are people complaining about the BP. The man literally has like 4 moves. What do you want him to do?

I can agree that it’s a lot of time bash spam and so forth. But that’s usually what most grandmasters and such do. The actual fact is that bashing is the most effective way to deal with raider. Also it’s bp main opener. Same can be said for other heroes such as warlord.
You can't give raider that much of an insane offense with his kit and then expect BP to NOT bash spam him out of it lol. Like there's a reason raider is one of the top 3 characters in the game right now

Crazy that people still hate on BP so much. He's not going to get far trying to CC a player like Dovah, he can't just throw lights either. His offense is his bash, flip, and UB - that's all a good player leaves BP with. People can't see that this guy used buffered bash a bunch, empty dodge a bunch to bait, and delayed bash to catch early dodge. Raider can actually punish BP bash, this was a close fight with 2 good players.
Complaining about BP in Dominion when BP has fallen out of the meta years ago.
People will give an Orochi props when he throws kick, light, zone, top UB as long as they hit a flashy deflect - just think of BP bash is Orochi kick and flip is deflect and show some love.
I'll be the first to say I want the Stam pause on bash gone, that shit is unhealthy for the game. Needs to go on all heroes that have it.

Say what you will about BP bashing. It was the best course of action to keep Raider on the defensive. If the Raider knew he could start his chains he'd start those round ending gator rolls Raider is famous for. The BP also knew how to parry.

I can see why people were hating on bp, it was mostly just forward dodge bash, ub feint, and flip. But it’s unfortunately what has to be done to do well sometimes.

Bp has bash but raider has hyperarmour. If you complain about bash then by all means also complain about raider being interruptible except when bashed.
My complaint isn't about how BP played at all. He has done good reads, made good use of his kit. I think he is a very good player. My comment purpose is to point out that BP is kinda busted when in good player's hand. Is strong in duel and even stronger in dominion.
Much better hero compared to conq especially in Dom, so hope for a buff to conq instead what we have seen in the last TG.

Why do people complain about raiders storming tap. Nobody complained when it literally used to flash bang you. How else is he suppose to mix you up and get damage besides zone spam. Especially if your opponent is turtling or not throwing anything.

not sure why ppl are hating on BP and not Raider as a character. All Raiders play the same by spamming lights and mixing up the unblockable.
In my opinion is because Raider is fun, BP negates the fun.
For honor is a game and I believe his primary goal should be to have fun.
BP should be a defensive hero but at the same time he can go offensive without worries because of his missed bash not being punishable with gb.
He can flip bash, sweeps and everything (also other heroes being executed nearby 😂)
His feats in dominion negate the fun and are unfair
Conq is in TG and his bash doesn't stop stamina Regen oos anymore while BP exist. BP is by far busted in comparison to the average hero.
Ok raider is busted too but has nothing unique to him that make him break the core mechanics of the game.
Probly those reasons and many others are why most of the people prefer raider instead the flipper

People who complain about BP’s bash are just bad players. He can’t charge or cancel it and it can only come out after a light or dodge forward. If you can’t adapt to his bash you’re just bad. Unlike hito, Warmonger, Warden etc where they can charge or cancel it.
You should still be able to punish the bash if missed

The bp and raider deserved their number one spots no matter what others say and this is coming from a guy who mains lawbringer i cant really think of anything else to do when up against other heros so i spam unblockable lefts and shoves cause they seem to always counter my top unblockable or dodge my flip or block my charge
I genuinely do not understand people crying about any kind of spam if you are losing because of spam YOU are the problem or it’s not spam and just fast mixups for example BP’s entire offensive kit resolves around bash UD mixups

@@paladinleeroy5992 This is called optimal BP gameplay. Take advantage of his quick bash and bulwark reads. Crushing counters are dangerous at this level and a light parry from a bad read costs more health than a gb. Feint ub into bash takes stamina and raiders dodge light beats it. Heavy feint into bash is too slow and the raider was lighting him out of heavy starters. Optimal BP gameplay is super boring, just like optimal conq but they've always been S-tier because of it

Dovah shot himself in the foot with how many times he pre-emptively dodged. If he had just stood there and ate most of the bashes he would've taken less damage than trying to dodge and getting baited into either a GB or having his dodge attack get light parried. I understand the struggle of dealing with bash spam, but I know Dovah could've done better or even won the match if he wasn't dodging as much as he did

Personally don't like the flipper, especially in dominion his feats are just bad. Tier 2 spits in an eye of many tier 4, negate shield of revenge (important mechanic of the game) and with tier 4 unlocked with many BP in team can easily be invulnerable for like 1/4 of the time.

His only vulnerability is being ledged... No wait he can flip you if you try to do that with everything different from a gb...

@@In-Nihilum of course, but with BP is a little easier than with other full block heroes as he counter 2/3 mixup with flip and punish the UB harder than average.
Same fight with Conqueror, Warlord, Kyoshin,... Couldn't take full block into account to counter Raider mixup as it will lose 2/3 of the times.
But of course what BP did require more skill than what Raider did in terms of reaction and adaptability I think.
