- Nicola Hume is joined in the Talking Bull studio by Oracle Red Bull Racing reserve driver Liam Lawson and Head of the Driver Academy, Guillaume “Rocky” Rocquelin, to find out how the team nurtures young drivers.
Nic will find out how the Driver Academy operates on a day-to-day basis: from talent spotting, to preparing young drivers to move into an F1 car and ensuring they’re ready to meet the physical demands required. She’ll also hear about the relationship between the drivers and their coaches - how they look after all aspects of the driver’s development, delving right into their sleep and nutrition to get the best out of each and every race. They’ll also discuss how it feels to be on the subs bench as a racer, and how you keep race-fit in spite of not racing every weekend.

The vast majority of drivers on the grid are there because they are quick and they bring a lot of money to the table. Pretending like RBR are the bad guys is crazy.

Probably confirms Lawson is taking one of the seats next year. Ricciardo is certainly out and I can't see how RBR can justify keeping Perez when he's cost them so many points. Lawson going straight to RBR would be strange but a bold risk.

@@Melbourne-s4x I agree they should've allowed him to end the season and he was screwed over, I mean he was literally the only guy helping Max out this season, however he's been so inconsistent in his driving for years it's just been a matter of time before he got the boot. I get that Daniel wanted to be prioritized by another team but in my opinion instead of hurling himself at teams that like to be inconsistent in their management, he should've stuck with red bull where he was already doing well and wait for his time to come. In my opinion Daniel took a gamble and suffered from the decision thus throwing away his career.

I keep looking into Liam's eyes in every interview and I'm like, just wink if you've got the drive man or shake your head no, because all this waiting to find out is annoying (clearly more on his side, than me, the fan side) but still, come on. I felt so let down last season when there were no driver changes. I get the whole "we don't want Nyck 2.0" thing, but this guy really put in several good drives under A LOT of pressure and to my knowledge has been the team player, doing media, doing sim work, in the garage, doing what needs to be done...so come on already!!!!
